An absolutely lovely spoless and well equipped house in a great setting but close to all the amenities in Aviemore. Hot tub, sauna and pool table too so no shortage of relaxation either. Excellent communication from the owner before and after our stay. I'd definitely book again. Steve.

Perfect place for six gents on a golf and whisky holiday!! Plenty of both within an hour’s drive, and a beautiful clean house with hot tub and sauna was perfect at the end of the day!

Had a great week away, house was well kept and clean. 20 min walk into Town with lots to do in the area.

We had amazing stay over the Xmas. That was our first Xmas away. House is very cosy and clean. We are very grateful for made house on Christmas decoration. We enjoyed of hot tube and sauna. Definitely we will come back

We had a really enjoyable 4 days at Craigellachie House. The accommodation is excellent and cosy. The pool table and hot tub were a big hit with our family - especially our grandsons. We hope to stay again next year.

Gillian was an excellent host, very responsive. The hot tub was lovely. Decor perhaps a bit dated but also a reasonable price so can’t complain. Kids had a great time and plenty of space

Had a lovely long weekend with friends. Pool and Table Tennis were a big hit with the kids (and the big kids), and a great base to explore Aviemore from.

Great property, a very enjoyable week in a comfortable, clean ,well furnished house. Ideal quiet location but only a short walk into town & various walks nearby. Games room nice addition but unfortunately hockey table out of action but did use pool table. Didn't use sauna but did use hot tub which was fab. A great week with fab weather

The house is well maintained with good facilities. I was disappointed that there was no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk. Needing to head straight out to the shops after a 10 hour journey wasnt the best start. On arrival the garage/play room had a strong smell of white spirit. I assumed something must have recently been cleaned in there. However, the smell persisted and grew stronger throughout the week making it impossible to use the play room by the end of the week as the smell was overwhelming. On googling I discovered the most likely culprit was a leak from the oil powered heating system in the garage which was reported to the host. Overall we had a lovely stay, the house was in a good location for walking into Aviemore but the close proximity of the A9 meant using the hot tub in the garden could be quite a noisy experience. As a reult of the issues mentioned I feel the price was somewhat inflated so would look for better value accomodation in the area next time we visit Aviemore.

This property was excellent, very well appointed, equipped and totally suited our needs as a large extended family group. The house was a short walk through woodland trails into Aviemore, with lots of excellent places/coffee shops to eat or chill. Our weather wasn't the best, so the games /pool room and hottub were an added bonus. The house was extremely clean, lovely decor and soft furnishings and overall very comfortable. Unfortunately due to illness in our group we weren't able to take advantage of the free golf on offer but Gillian was very helpful with all arrangements, very much appreciated. I can highly recommend this property and hope to visit again in the future.

Great house for what we wanted for our short break meeting up with our family. Ideal base to explore the area. We were hoping to get out hiking, biking & skiing and managed all with minimum fuss. The house is very well kitted out and perfect for relaxing & recharging at the end of the day. Communications with the host couldn’t have been better.

This property is perfect! Lots of room, very comfortable, great location. We were here when heavy snow arrived and the house kept us warm throughout our stay! Was also impressed that the road and pavements were cleared of snow. Great communication from point of booking. We are already hoping to book again next year!

Enjoyed our stay, property clean spacious about a mile from village centre

We had a lovely time, loved the set up, hot tub, games room, 3 toilets etc. we have a few negatives. It would have been nice to have some more cleaning materials, like for wiping down the counters, table etc, we had to go and buy scouters for washing frying pans etc. we used the washing machine because my grandson was sick and we had to wash his pyjamas etc. We had to buy washing liquid/fabric softener etc, it just didn’t cross my mind to take all these things to a house of this quality. The worst thing was having to all strip our beds before leaving, in my 60 years I have never ever stripped a bed in a hotel/lodge/caravan. We had to be out by 10am so it meant on our last day we were all up very early stripping beds etc. it left us all a bit stressed. A bit of a sour note at the end of our holiday. Getting access to the house at 5pm I thought was a bit late, we lost the whole day, (although we actually got it at 4pm). I think if you want guests to have to strip beds etc then maybe a bit later check out would be good. I don’t like saying the negative things because it was a great place.

The property was excellent, clean, comfortable, very well equipped. Sky tv., hot tub, games room and sauna, free golf. We did not use sauna, but used the hot tub on one of the days. The owner was very helpful and approachable. Would highly recommend this property.

We stayed over the past few days and had an amazing stay, house was amazing and we had a great time using the facilities including the hot tub and sauna. House was also close for shops and other activities to take the kids out to enjoy.

The property was excellent,clean and beautifully furnished. The provision of extras like the hot tub,sauna and games room made our stay catered for in every way. The house was located on a site reflecting an alpine setting.

We had a great time, lots of space available, plenty to do and we took advantage of the hot tub and golf. We are already planning next year's visit
