What a wonderful host and home!! The listing was exactly as described. Lovely rooms, a spacious dining area and back deck, and stocked with all the beach goodies. We were even allowed to bring our family dog for a small fee. My sister wound up coming with her two children and there was plenty of room for everyone!! Check this cozy home out for your next family getaway!

The home is perfectly located. Just a short walk to ferry, playground, bay beach, ice cream stores, grocery store and the ocean. The large back deck (fenced in) keeps little ones safe and provides plenty of space to play. The house is well stocked with boogie boards, bicycles, sand toys. Jenny is a great host, attentive to requests. Her home is perfect for a low key family vacation.

Jenny, the owner, is helpful and accommodating. Beautiful large deck. Great outdoor shower. Excellent location. The two bathrooms are on the ground floor, so if you are in the upstairs bedrooms you need to go down a steep set of stairs to get to them. But there are two bedrooms on the ground floor and the upstairs bedrooms may not be a problem for many people. All in all a lovely place to stay.

The owners of this wonderful home put a great deal of thought into making it a perfect FI vacation spot for friends or family. It's better than the photos. The house is immaculately clean yet so comfy you feel at home as soon as you walk in. It's loaded with amenities including a range of bicycles for adults and kids , big screen TV with loads of channel choices and a pantry full of condiments (very convenient). The house is located just a couple of hundred feet from the food market and Ocean Beach shopping/restaurant/bar district. The walk to the beach is less than five mins. The Seaview market ( best mkt for meat and fish) and restaurants in Ocean Bay Park are also within walking distance. Honestly I couldn't have asked for anything more. Everyone in my party agreed and we all had a wonderful time. I hope to return in the future.

We had such a great stay at Jenny's home. The house is perfectly located to town and the beach, i really dont think we could of asked for a better location. The house was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for us and friends. The back deck was perfect for grilling and relaxing. We brought our dog and he was able to roam on the deck and was very at ease here (we think he was on vacation mode too!) Overall, we really had a great time here. The house was stocked with everything we needed, from bedding & towels to salt and pepper.

Jenny's home is reminiscent of the old Fire Island bungalows. Wood paneled walls, comfortable furniture , fireplace. The kitchen is the hub of the first floor, open to both living and dining areas. The bedrooms, 2 on first floor, 2 on second) are conveniently located, but private. There is an extensive back deck with plenty of room for little ones and or pets to run around. Just a five minute walk from the ferry, the property is located at the west end of OB, down the street from the Pantry (grocery store), Maguires and a bay front playground. The street is quiet, residential, a short walk to the Ocean. A special home is a special place. Our family was sad to leave.

Jenny's house was perfect for our yearly family vacation on Fire Island. The house is even nicer than the pix show and the deck - WOW! eye popping incredible and huge. The kitchen was stocked with everything we forgot to bring and even more. I highly recommend the house!

My family stayed for a week in August 2021. The house was stocked with everything we needed and lots of little extras that made our vacation more enjoyable. And when we had any questions or minor issues, the owners promptly responded to us and addressed our concerns. I would highly recommend and would definitely rent this house again.

We had an awesome stay at Jenny’s home, a great spot less than 5 minutes from both the ferry and the beach. It comfortably sleeps 8 with four bedrooms (and 2 bathrooms), and was easy to plus up to 10 people given the living room couch is a pullout bed. The house also has a great back deck with an outdoor shower, and came with towels, bikes, beach chairs. Overall it was the perfect spot to enjoy a couple days on the island - plus Jenny was super nice and communicative. Highly recommend!

I would absolutely recommend this house and hope to return in the future! This space was perfect for a big group that wants to chill, grill and enjoy Ocean Beach to the fullest. This house felt much sturdier and updated compared to other rentals in fire island. The cabinets are truly stocked with condiments and kitchen wares which was really helpful when we wanted to cook or prepare our own snacks/drinks. The house is about a 7 minute walk to the beach and about the same to the main strip of stores and the grocery store. My friends appreciated the long tables (indoors and outdoors), the pull out couches, and the beach chairs, which were perfect to fit our group of 8. The check in and out process was simple and Jenny was very communicative, even through the glitches in the VRBO app. We really had no complaints! We had an unforgettable weekend, especially thanks to this house!

This was our 2nd time staying here. Loved it both times! Jenny is a wonderful host. The house is steps from town and a short walk to the beach. These is plenty of towels and everything you need for the kitchen. Backyard is large with ample seating. Cannot say enough about this place. Cannot wait to come back.

Great location. Plenty of room in the house. Owner got back to us immediately with our questions. One of the bedrooms air conditioner did not work and our Wi-Fi was not connected for the first three days. Great space outside. Well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, towels and linens

Everything was great! When we got to the house one ac unit in a bedroom wasnt working and Jenny was able to get someone to the house before nightfall to install a new one...what a savior. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Great location, huge deck with outside grill, clean house, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen. Nice dinner area for ~10-14 people. State of the art heating/cooling unit. Hostess (Jenny) was very accommodating.

We stayed 10/4-10/6, group of 10 people. The house is very close to town and stocked with pretty much anything you need for your stay. Awesome deck outside, perfect for grilling which we did on Saturday. Large kitchen/dining area for dinner. If you get in before your friends do grab the large cart in the backyard and meet them at the ferry. Lifesaver for hauling luggage and supplies. We all had a great time and would stay here again and again.

Jenny was very accommodating, allowing us an early check in and a late check out. The house was very comfortable and clean with great furniture inside and out. The beach chairs were pretty ratty, but the house provide plenty of towels to drape over the chairs. All in all a great rental.

Excellent location, wonderful house and Hospitable owners!

We stayed at this property the second week of September and were extremely happy. We arrived to a welcome basket complete with wine and snacks - such a nice touch! The house is was spacious with a large eat in kitchen area, large living room and two indoor bathrooms (bath/shower in one, shower in the other). The pantry literally had everything you could need, from condiments to coffee/filters, tin foil, paper towels, toilet paper - the list goes on and on. A ton of towels were available too! With a destination like Fire Island, where you have to ship or bring everything with you these items made our lives so much easier. The outdoor deck was spacious as well and there was a grassy area for our pups. The house was literally 30 seconds from the beginning of town and a short 5 min walk to the beach. And for all you nature lovers out there - the deer abounded in the area and stopped by nightly so we could hand feed them carrots. As for the owner Jenny she was fabulous! She promptly responded to all of my emails (many within minutes) and was very accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Thank you Jenny!!

The house was extremely clean and the hosts were very accommodating. She answered all my texts within minutes. All of the guests who stayed at the house says the pictures do not do the house justice. The backyard/deck was huge and a big hit for spending time outside. The location was also great being so close to town and the ferries.

My family and I stayed at Jenny's house for our summer August 2019 vacation. We had a great time in Ocean Beach! The house has a wonderful location, very close to all of the town's restaurants, bars, and the playground for our kids. The house provides everything you need for a comfortable vacation so get ready to kick back and relax at the house and at the beach! Jenny, the owner, was very attentive, easy to get in touch with and answered all of our questions. Jenny, thank you for making our first Ocean Beach family vacation great! We hope to head back again in the future!

My family loved this house! The best part was the big deck in the back yard. We ended up hanging out there the whole time instead of going to the beach because it was a little windy. They even left a welcome basket for us on our first day with snacks and drinks (which was perfect because we sent our food and drinks over on the freight ferry, which arrived later in the day). Highly recommend!

It is a great, clean and comfortable house with a large deck to hang out on. House is fully stocked with all you’d need besides food, drinks and paper goods. Easily slept 10 people. Honestly better in person than I ever expected. Thank you Jenny for a great transaction and a great weekend for my sister’s 40th birthday!

Jenny's house is a much-loved family home with some wonderful features. There's a beautiful almost cabin like feel in the living room-kitchen area because of the knotty pine walls, and we appreciated the comfortable couches and bed in the master bedroom — as well as the smart tv, the layout of the kitchen, the air conditioning & heating, washer and dryer, and the spacious outdoor deck. The bedrooms upstairs are nice as well, though we didn't use them, and as seniors wouldn't have wanted to go up and down the steep staircase ourselves to get downstairs to the bathroom. Since it was just two of us, we didn't need to. For a family with kids this would be no problem. The property needs a bit of work — better sliding glass doors that aren't stained and working screen doors — so as to take full advantage of the nice view of and access to the deck. (New sliding doors & screens are, apparently, on order, which is good!) There were two well-used bikes, though it wasn't that easy to get them in and out of the shed. The washer and dryer were great — but the shed in which they were housed could have used more cleaning. In any case, despite these small details, the location was perfect, and Jenny was very helpful when we needed more lightbulbs and a bike lock. What was especially nice was that because we came off-season, she gave us early check-in and late checkout, which truly contributed to our feeling relaxed and welcomed. As noted in the title, we had a great time!

Staying on fire island in this house was the best decision our group of people could have made. The house is beautiful with all of the amenities we would need making it even easier to go to the beach and have a good time. The location is the perfect distance between the town and the beach. We loved every second of our stay and can not wait to return next summer!
