This was our second time staying in Villa Rosa. We were there for two weeks and it is a special place. A well equipped villa in a very quiet and private setting surrounded by beautiful gardens and orchards. Dina, the property manager, is the best. She is lovely and was always there to help with anything we needed. We highly recommend Villa Rosa if you are looking for beauty and tranquility for your next visit to Tavira.

Overall: We had a wonderful time at Villa Rosa. The whole family enjoyed the setting and the peacefulness of the area. Everything we needed was already there and catered for. Having our own swimming pool, gardens, barbecue, etc. made the holiday so laid back but also so hard to leave :) Location: Villa Rosa is a lovely house located in the countryside yet so close to Tavira. The road to it is almost private so no traffic or noise pollution. It's very peaceful and you can watch the stars when the sky is clear. Having a car is essential but even though the location is very rural, it's only about 8 minutes drive to the nearest supermarket and probably around 15-20 minutes drive to the nearest beach. 45 minutes to the Faro airport. Outside: Both the villa and the gardens are well maintained and looked after so the first thing we noticed upon arrival was all the greenery and the variety of trees, shrubs and flowers. The whole estate is surrounded by rocks and trees so you get absolute privacy. There are many orange trees with lots of juicy oranges so you can make your own fresh orange juice any time of the day. While the gardens are huge and open there is also plenty of shade around the house or the swimming pool so you can sit outside and enjoy your food or a glass of wine any time of the day. The swimming pool was nice and clean so both ourselves and the children enjoyed it. The outdoor barbecue was also a huge plus. Inside: The villa is beautifully decorated throughout and it has this real warm 'homely' feel to it. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived. It has all the appliances (and more) we needed to make our life easier and our stay more comfortable. The bedrooms and the living room are air-conditioned and the windows have mosquito nets. There is a TV with lots of channels which we barely used but the having the WiFi internet was definitely a plus. All the essentials (towels, linen, washing up liquid, toilet roll, soap, etc.) were provided so nothing to worry about on the first day. The villa is also equipped with a house alarm and remote-controlled gate for extra security.

An excellent holiday, in a 5 star villa. The accommodation was superb, so comfortable, with all mod cons. Peaceful location, excellent swimming pool. Some lovely walks in the countryside, a car is essential due to location, but the villa is within easy reach of golf courses, beaches and the lovely town of Tavira. Highly recommended.

Great Property; Great Location about 2km from Tavira. 2nd year here in a row staying at property. Very nice property; needs minimal update but still gave it a 5 star.

Inside, the house was very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Great bathrooms. It's quite remote, so you can't walk to restaurants or shops, but you get complete peace and privacy, with a glorious outside space.

We spent nine days on this beautiful property. It’s a very special place. Dina, the property manager was very responsive and wonderful to deal with.

Peaceful and quiet in rural location yet convenient to all necessary amenities. Pool and house had everything you needed for a self catering holiday. Tavira was a short drive away. The host Dina was very helpful and always available to answer any queries. We would consider booking this property again.

We stayed for 9 nights at the end of August, 2 adults, 2 children. The villa was beautiful, very clean but also rustic looking. The pool was lovely for a cool down and the views were also brilliant. The villa was very private, a car is essential but this is what we prefer on holiday. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms and the kitchen had all the essentials you would need. Dina was the perfect host, letting us in at the beginning of our stay and showing us around and then leaving us to it with her contact details in case we needed anything. Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful home Dina, it was definitely the best place that we have stayed for a long time.

Perfect villa for a relaxing holiday. We have stayed in several villas on the Algarve and this is our favourite. Extremely quiet with great views over the countryside. Good pool area, gardens with fruit trees and lovely seating areas outside. Very quick and easy to drive to Tavira with little traffic. Dina the host was very accommodating and we hope to return in the near future.

Our five day stay was just what we needed between several weeks of travel. But it was much too short! Dina was a joy to communicate with in arranging booking details, getting directions, and giving us tips about what to do in Tavira. The property is exactly as it is represented in the online photos and it was a very comfortable home for us to live in and relax for a few days. The view is spectacular, the location is private and peaceful, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. We cooked our own breakfast every morning and enjoyed dining on the beautiful patio. We lounged in the sunshine around the pool in the afternoons. We traveled the short distance into Tavira every evening for wonderful meals in a few of the many inviting restaurants. And we often lounged by the pool at night with a nightcap to marvel at the stars. It was with heavy hearts that we left this beautiful place and we vowed to return some day. Thank you, Dina, for sharing your beautiful home with us. We hope to see you again some day.

Spending a few days at Quinta Mimosa is transporting us to a world of beauty, harmony and inspiration. Each room has a touch of sophistication and charm, which envelops us and transmits calm and comfort. The outside has the same influence on our senses - tranquility, harmony, inner peace. It was a rewarding experience and, perhaps due to the difficult times we are experiencing, even more emotional because we forget that there is a world out there that we don't always want to belong to. The house is fully equipped and are ready to take 4 people. You can have your meals in the patio or at the dinning room. The pool is huge and the space around it is fantastic, with some pomegranate trees. All that is at 4 Km from Tavira center with all the restaurants and bars.

Perfect for relaxing in peaceful surroundings with lovely scenery. Villa was everything as advertised and more. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable relaxing getaway.

As the title suggests we had a wonderful time. The villa was everything we hoped for and Tavira is a very pleasant area to visit. We loved the 'Old Town' and had a number of excellent meals in local restaurants. The beaches were clean and easily accessable.Added to all of this we were there during the Tavira City Celebrations which was an interesting and colourful experience.Hope to return soon.

A nicely appointed Villa in lovely countryside. Car essential but then shopping and all facilities are no more than 10 minutes away.

Great place but poor directions from home away saw us in a hotel on first night. Owner sent her gardener to lead us there next morning. House feels more like a home than a rental villa. Very relaxing break for four of us. Comfy beds big powerful showers. V peaceful setting. Tick all my boxes aside from the rather fraught time finding it to begin with.

We spent a week at the beginning of September at Villa Rosa. It is exactly as portrayed in the photographs & more! The Villa & surrounding grounds are spacious & very peaceful with wonderful views across the countryside towards Tavira. There is access to adjoining orchards where we regularly picked fresh oranges & figs. The Villa itself provided comfortable accommodation with 2 large bedrooms, both of which had excellent en-suite facilities. Although the Villa is well equipped we spent very little time inside as there is extensive room on the covered veranda for relaxing & dining. Everywhere, including the pool, is clean & well cared for.Dina was kind & helpful & quickly responded to any of our queries. We were only sorry we hadn't booked for longer & can thoroughly recommend this property.

We arrived very late in the evening , but found a welcome pack with some cheese , loads of oranges, fruits, cold cuts , wine , beer and water .That was the perfect welcoming by our hostess, was a short trip but nevertheless was nice to find something to enjoy al fresco ..We sat under the pergola with our light meal and watched the stars ad the cigars singing

Pp Best of all is the tranquility, the charming garden and the unspoiled surroundings combined with being close to restaurants, cafés and shops in Tavira as well as several good golf courses. During a couple of chilly evenings the fireplace added extra charm indoors. The kitchen equipment ( pots, pans, glasses etc. ) could do with a review and some renewals....We will definitely be back again!

We actually stayed in this villa twice. We stayed all of Feb. in 2014 and then returned for the months of Feb. and March in 2015. Needless to say we enjoyed it very much the first time or we wouldn't have returned. Villa Rosa is in a beautiful country setting about 5 minutes drive from the town of Tavira. It is on a quiet country road that only has one or two cars a day. There are many quiet roads for walking through the farms and orange groves with very little traffic. If you are so inclined it is about a 45 minute walk to Tavira but you really need a car if you live here.The villa is small, but comfortable. It has two bedrooms, each with its own en suite, a third bathroom, a kitchen with all modern conveniences and all of the utensils necessary to cook meals, and a small living room with a flat screen TV. The TV is hooked up to a combination CD player and VHS player. There is a library of old movies to watch. The TV does get some stations, mainly Portuguese, and SKYE and CNN news. There is free wifi available that is acceptable but not super fast. What makes Villa Rosa special is its setting. It is located in the middle of a 25 or so acre estate called Quinta Mimosa. There are orange trees growing on the estate from which you can pick the oranges for fresh juice in the morning. There is a covered patio outside the kitchen for meals and an old stone barbeque a few steps away. We often purchased fresh fish from the market and sat outside with our barbequed fish, vegetables, and a bottle of wine. There is an in ground pool that is kept spotlessly clean by Emanuel, the gardener, and lots of comfortable lounges for sunbathing or quietly reading a book in the shade.If peace and tranquility, a beautiful setting, and a comfortable place to live are what you are looking for this place will suit you. If being near the action and being able to walk to the bars and restaurants is more your style you should choose a place in town.
