Great people, warm welcome. They assisted us on some activities we did around. Very charming place to hang on for a few days.

Amongst the most beautiful views you will see in the world. There is no embellishment in the photos! Wonderful meeting Herbie and Erika and they were very helpful with ideas for excursions and general local knowledge. We were a group of 9 including teenagers and we were on a rollercoaster of 6 days of adventure in and around Boca Chica. Thank you Erika and Herbie 😎

Great accommodations, amazing breakfast and wonderful hosts. The furnishings, bed and outdoor spaces are all high quailty and well maintained. Herbie and Erika know how to make you feel at home. We Enjoyed our stay!

We loved our time here! Erika and Herbie were so pleasant, fun to talk to, and helpful. They helped us set up an awesome island tour, recommended great places to eat and even helped with aloe Vera for my daughter’s sunburn. The rooms were perfect and the pool fantastic. The view is also amazing! We can highly recommend!

Excellent breakfast. Fruit bowl was exceptional as were the scrambled eggs. The owners were extremely accommodating to our every need.

After witnessing the dressing down Herbie gave his wife when we arrived, we were appalled. There may be a reason your staff no showed on a holiday. Your 2nd response and protest are completely fictional, you were speaking English. Eco Lodge? Maybe you should visit Rio Encantado to see what ecotourism is. A very regimented schedule and posted rules we had to ask permission to open the gate to go on an excursion at 8:30 am. Hosts are overbearing and too eager to insert themselves in your planning. They were discouraging our plans and wanted us to follow their recommendation. Again, our arrival set the mood and we did not want to socialize with a misogynist.

Breakfast was amazing and if one left table hungry, was your own doing. Heriberto and Erika are outstanding Hosts and love what they do!

Herbie and Erika have done a phenomenal job with the place. We loved the vibe from the moment we arrived. The place is spread out giving a feeling of grandeur whilst being surrounded by the colours and sounds of nature. The accommodation is fully equipped with everything one needs. We really enjoyed the calm and the views, even from our bathroom the sight was breathtaking. The bed was comfortable and the pool was a delight. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the variety on offer was excellent.

The internet could have been a bit faster/stable.

At Boca Chica Bay Eco Lodge you get the most amazing view of the Islands, it’s a really nice place where you can relax with your SO. the hosts are extremely nice, helpful and great to talk to! If you are thinking of going to Boca Chica and want a nice place to stay then this is the one! you do not want to miss out on the view, the pool or the amazing breakfast! ;)

The property is stunningly gorgeous. The views from the pool deck and upper balcony are exquisite. As our flight out of Miami was delayed we missed our connecting flight to David, so had to miss our first night of accommodation at the lodge. The hosts were very accommodating the next morning as we arrived around 10am and they had a full breakfast ready upon arrival which was such a welcomed sight! Be sure to mention any dietary restrictions as you book, as the hosts are happy to accommodate if they know prior to your arrival.

The surprising aspect to this property was the strict security measures that were in place. The doors were locked at 5pm or thereabouts (we had a key, so just had to keep it with us when we went out). And in the evening a pad lock was used to secure the parking area, so once we arrived back after dinner we were greeted and the gate was locked. It felt like we were locked in for the rest of the night. I’m grateful that the hosts are security conscious, however as I live in a very safe place, I personally felt on edge as to why there was a need to be locked down in the compound.

Road access and no dinner service

A gorgeous house high up on a hill with incredible views of the ocean and nearby islands. The hosts are lovely and the breakfast is fantastic. We really enjoyed the pool - you can stare at the ocean for hours!

The road leading to property

A great location with great hosts. Erika and Herbie were friendly and very helpful. The property has magnificent views and is exceptionally clean.

The eating options are limited in the town but we were made aware of this.

The view of the ocean is breath-taking from the whole property but especially wonderful from the infinity pool! Our hosts are super friendly. We felt like we had been invited to someone's private home to share this beautiful place. You can tell attention has been paid to every details in this property. The breakfast is awesome. Our well-equipped room also enjoys the same gorgeous view. Every morning, we were greeted by toucans, parrots, hawks, and all kinds of birds.

The only negative is that the wifi is a bit weak inside the bedroom (good elsewhere on the property)

Delightful room on the first floor overlooking the pool and forest. Lovely decor with attention to detail spot on, including cleaning the windows 👍Balcony to sit and observe forest activities- toucans, howler monkeys, vultures etc. The owners, Erika and Herbie, went out of their way to share local knowledge and recommend activities.

Our second trip here. We love the beautiful location and the friendly hosts. Within 5 minutes of being there, we saw monkeys, toucans and hummingbirds. Our room was great - clean and comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful! Hot water, Internet, TV, and AC are all there too.

Gorgeous, atop a rainforest peak, with monkeys and beautiful birds, delicious food, and outstanding service. I could see the ocean from every room in my casita, even while showering. Very romantic for couples I would think. I’m going to recommend to my daughter that she consider this in her choices for a destination wedding.

I didn’t have a car and had to walk up the hill with a heavy bag - however, both the neighbor (who helped me up the hill) and the owner who carried it in and to my room for me (as I was clearly exhausted) were great. There is nothing not to like about this place.

Breakfast is wonderful. Enjoy the whole production, it is worth it. and HErbie enjoys cooking you what you want. This is more like an intimate bed and breakfast with a great view and pool. A couple of the other inns have restaurants for lunch or dinner. My choice to stay at the Eco Lodge and eat dinner at the other inns was perfect. They have an honor bar for beer and wine, pool is relaxing, showers are best I had in Panama. Ask Erika to show you the varieties of fruit she is growing. The sounds of nature is relaxing - even the howler monkeys. Island hopping day trip was fun.

I can't say I didn't like this, but just so you know, it's a very small town without a beach or shopping etc. Easy to take day tours from there even if you think the roads on the drive in are foreboding, you get used to it. I drove in during a downpour and I am still around to write about it.
