The unit was comfortable, decent space for two people. Looks exactly like the photos on the listing so I didn't take photos to share. The location was good, very easy to get back to the main road or to taxi around Saly. The host, Edward, was very responsive, any time we had questions he responded within a short time frame. He speaks English very well, which helped us greatly as we unfortunately don't speak French or Wolof. Super markets in close proximity, the mosquito net around the bed was a lifesaver! And the A/C units kept the temperature in the unit comfortable. They have access to US television channels as well if you plan to stay in and rest.

The stove didn't work all the time, so while cooking breakfast we had to stop and wait for the stove eye to reset and start again. Slightly inconvenient, but for the most part, it worked ok. There were a few small bugs (roaches) in the kitchen area. I won't hold this against them as we stayed a few nights at a 5 start resort and they also had bugs, so I'm attributing this to the location being so close to wooded areas and water (the beach is pretty close behind the apartment complex and there appears to maybe be some water leading into the tree area as well). Despite this, I would stay here again.

Since we arrived, only problems arose. For example, there was no toilet paper, no toiletries as advertised. Only 2 spoons and 2 forks. no cups, no knives to cook, etc. This situation happened even though I wrote to the manager to confirm that these things were going to be provided and the manager confirmed. Also, the AC of the living room was not working. The electricity box was already blinking that it needed to be recharged (meaning that the electricity was going to be off if no money was put). We sent messages through Bookings, SMS and notified the husband of the manager. Nothing was done, so we had to recharge it ourselves. We tried to make the situation better by going to the supermarket to buy plates, cooking and eating utensils. When we arrived, the kitchen was full of cockroaches... FULL. There were roaches outside and inside the appliances, such as the fridge!!! dishwasher, microwave. And our stuff was covered with them. The toilet was the same. A total nightmare. We had to survive the night, so we went to the shop to get the cockroaches' spray. We sprayed all over, inside and on cabinets, underneath appliances, and in some cases inside, as it was the case of the dishwasher, which was also full of cockroaches. We couldn't sleep that night. The next morning, we were trying to leave, but bookings was not responding and Gnilane either. Later that morning, Gnilane sent her husband to recharge the electricity box. We explained the situation to him, and he brought someone to try to fix the AC and later someone to clean. We decided to stay because we didn't have anywhere to go. However, we spent that day and the night killing cockroaches and cleaning in order to have a quieter and better New year's eve. On the 31st we woke up to clean all the mess and roaches everywhere (we took photos of all the cockroaches on the floor). The borders of the tables and cabinets are falling off, some of the appliances do not work, and 2 chairs are broken.
