We did have a really good time during our stay at the house. It’s right on the lake with amazing docks and access to boats. The theater room is great and so is the game room. The hot tub and the sauna are awesome. The house was a little bit disappointing with details like a missing toilet paper holder, some peeling paint, and uneven deck boards. The host was very responsive. Not luxury but still a good spot.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We even discussed renting again in the near future. Thank you!

I had difficulties to find the house 🏠

Had a lot of fun at this place. It had everything we could’ve asked for.

The place looked beautiful in the photos but up close, it was dismal. The whole place needs an extensive upgrade. A sewer cap was off in front of the house and the smell was awful. Plaster was peeling from the wall over the kitchen sink. The range in the kitchen was terrible; it took over 6 hours to bake a chicken in the oven and the burners on the electric range wouldn't maintain a steady temperature. It was an ordeal getting a warm shower; it took forever for the water to heat up. And, we couldn't get WIFI! There were no wash cloths or face towels to be found anywhere and when we swept the floors moulding from around the walls kept coming loose in several areas. The only really nice thing about the place was the movie room; it was spacious with lots of comfortable seating and the movie screen was huge making it feel like you were at the movies. I read the reviews before I rented the place and did see multiple complaints, especially about the kitchen range. But I gave the place the benefit of the doubt because the pictures were so nice. Big Mistake!

Went with a big group of friends (age 21-26) the house matched the rental post. The area had a lot to do so it made getting out for a night a lot easier. Home owner was a super responsive and quick with his responses too

My family and I had so much fun.

I have owned my own vacation rental and know what it takes to keep them nice. I have been to units all over Europe, Caribbean and US. This was the 1st disappointed VRBO I have ever visited. Climbing the steps that were loose and trying to open the door and it wouldn't open since a board was warped and loose that we couldn't even open the door. Or get back out once we were inside. We hammered it back in place ourselves. The interior does offer everything that was listed albeit no maintenance was down in at least 5 years. Like the Feb 2022 comment said "These pics are old" The rear door is still broken since Feb and now has painters tape to keep the glass shards in place. The door was rotten and the locks are a kick away from getting in. The oven needs replaced. The digital panel was not in place and completely broke when trying to turn the oven on. The owner had the nerve to say it wasn't broken before when clearly it says in numerous reviews that the oven didn't work property. We couldn't even get the temp to go up since you can't push the buttons. We did finally get it started but only at 350. Every room had something broken. Some safety issues as well. Missing smoke detectors, no hand rails to basement. A/C units need emptied, we did clean the filter and got it back on, but we shouldn't have to hook up a hose to empty the unit. I understand the exterior is hard to maintain in the woods but this hasn't had garbage picked up or cared for recently. For the amount of rent charged a lot more was expected. No instructions for anything. The projector we couldn't get to play DVD's, notes to pay for garbage at $5/bag, but no bags, so bring your own. The reviews from Feb are still accurate and the items she mentioned are still broken. The snow didn't cause the damages inside. It was a shame because we were excited to use the hot tub, but didn't get in it since the place wasn't maintained everywhere else and were concerned for bacteria. The pool table and fooseball, sauna are all located in the mildew basement. It did rain for the first day so we never did sit out on the deck because all the cushions were stained and wet. One good note: The mattresses were all good. And the owner was responsive when texted. There was just nothing he could do with the stove but replace it.

House and property needed some TLC.

"Mr Petrovski We spent last week at your Emerald Lake property. I am going to list the major issues we had with this property. Exterior: doesn't look anything like the photos on VRBO. 1. It is dilapidated and covered in moss and mold. (power washing at the start of your season would remove this issue) 2. Everything was overgrown to the point that it inhibited using the entrance in the front. (hedge trimmers can help with that) 3. Steps going to the lake were rotted and falling apart. (new steps maybe?) 4. The dock looked nothing like the photo, time for new AstroTurf. 5. The hot tub was filthy. and the temperature could not be adjusted. We cleaned the filters, then your pool guy came and repeated the process as well as overflowed the tub trying to remove the filthy water. It remained clean after much work showing me it's not a weekly issue which is what you led us to believe. 6. The back door did not latch shut. therefore, it also did not lock. (I got nothin!) Interior: 7. 4 chairs seated around the table were broken and could not be used by adults. 8. The stove only works on high. 9. The oven did not have a knob making it nearly impossible to cook. there are also no pans for oven use (maybe because it didn't work) There is a broken outlet cover in the kitchen which was accessible to little toddler fingers. (how does any of this pass code?) 10. Smoke detectors were missing and the one that was there didn't work. (again safety issues) 11. The night it rained outside, it also rained in the kitchen. 12. plenty of dishes and utensils however only 4 cereal bowls for 12 people. 13. The basement smells like mold. 14. Upstairs bathroom toilet seat was broken. The baseboard heater covers were missing, rusty and sharp. 15. Downstairs shower had a constant drip. 16. No trash receptacles outside which meant leaving it all in the house until trash day. Mr Petrovski offered us a refund of the cleaning fee and 1 night's stay. VRBO was no help what-so-ever. why did we stay? we were all together as a family, it's our only vacation, we make our own happiness (doesn't mean I can't point out negatives) and he hadn't as of yet destroyed the lake.

Although some parts of this property are showing their age, we had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 kids, both inside and outside. The decks are amazing! We could always find both sun and shade as desired. The upper deck was our dining spot every night. Mid-deck was always in the shade, which was wonderful. The lake is beautiful. We did some swimming and kayaking. The kitchen was well equipped, but we did have an issue with the oven. We contacted the owner and he got right back to us and explained the problem. The bedrooms were fine. We were lucky to have a beautiful week and did not always need air conditioning, but window screens would have been nice. The biggest disappointment was the pool table in the basement. It really is a basement…dark and stuffy. We love to shoot pool, but did very little as it was uncomfortable down there. But, we found lots of other things to do! All in all, it’s a great location and a relatively comfortable home.

Property had everything we needed for the stay Grill was not the best but property owner got us another one right away

We used this home as supplement to the main property. The house was nice and the owner was accommodating, professional, and courteous. The lake view is awesome. Thank you much, and I look forward to renting again!

The property is very spacious and even included a sauna next to a walk in shower. The hot tub was available 24-7 and great for relaxing. I would recommend arriving during the daytime because you can easily miss a turn in the dark. Overall a great stay for the price and many added bonuses! Safe travels

Great weekend on the lake , super fun great house , projector was awesome and the lake was amazing with the kayaks and canoes

Stayed for the weekend with a couple of friends. The outside area had multiple levels of deck and a dock right on the water. There were kayaks and a canoe available. The house was very clean when we arrived and smelled like it had just been cleaned. The kitchen was really spacious and great for cooking big meals for multiple people. The theater room with the giant projector screen was awesome for movies.

The pictures are NOT current state of the property. It’s falling apart!! Outside: Stairs & decking leading to property is OLD breaking & in need of replacement/repair. The fence is held up by 2x4’s. The hot tub was “open” green & 51 degrees. There was trash all around the property (including car battery & open bags of mulch in driveway) & there was electric sockets & extension cords with plastic thrown over it. Main floor: There were 2 hangers in the closet (ad says sleeps 14) along with a filthy air conditioner, mops, brooms, filthy seat cushions & closet door was broken. The media room was a good idea but the furniture was older than dirt, worn & the only 2 chairs were both broken, fireplace broken, kitchen was “filthy”, pots & pans & shelves in closets were sticky. Stove has a broken knob, refrigerator was “missing all but one door shelving, & there was a broken shelf inside. Fridge “said” it was also ice maker, but “no water” source. Dining room had VERY wobbly table with only 6 chairs. (Ad said house accommodates 14). Meanwhile 3 of the 6 chairs were broken. We found “filthy” folding chairs in basement & cleaned them to use. Patio door was CLEARLY broken & missing glass & appeared to be kicked in at one time. Door jam was broken & never replaced, floor is water damaged. We had to put a chair against it to even close it. 2 out of the 4 bathrooms are UNDONE (holes in wall, etc) & EVERY faucet was backwards in water temperature. Cold was hot and hot was cold! Laundry room was dusty, dirty with broken door on top of broken wall heater. Closet in that room was cluttered & full of junk. Upstairs: Bannister leading upstairs was wobbly & dangerous! They attempted to do renovations upstairs in the bedrooms. Master bedroom bed was the worst. The mattress had broken slats under the bed. Bathroom in master was ok, but the shared bathroom had broken wall heater, shower head coming off of wall & needed paint. Basement: smelled moldy & did NOT have a pull out couch for sleeping as advertised!! So we were a bed short. The bathroom down there was creepy UNDONE & clearly thrown together with pieces of everything. The garage was a filthy mess. The ENTIRE house had paint chipping off the wall & it is NOT rental ready!! We stayed because we didn’t have a choice. You don’t know what your getting til you get there. They had $1900 from me and it was non refundable. I hope VRBO checks reviews this needs to be removed!! I have pictures!!!

The house was the perfect place for a few families to stay for a ski weekend! Space for everyone, great view and pretty close to the slopes, especially camelback. Dmitry was so responsive and helpful with an impending storm and helped make a potentially stressful situation really easy with his insight and flexibility. Hope to go back in the summer!

We did not expect to find such an unkept house. Broken stove, broken ice machine, doors off hinges , futons not mattresses and so on. ESPECIALLY NOT AT THE RENTAL RATE CHARGED! COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!

Great property right on the water in a quiet neighborhood. Owner promptly responded to all communications. We were here for winter activities, but property looks like it would be great for a summer trip as well.

Seven of us stayed for 4 days at the property. Upon arrival, we noticed leftover trash in the kitchen and quite a bit around the steps leading to the lake. The stove wasn't in great working order. That being said, the bedrooms were nice and the living spaces were spacious. Overall, it wasn't totally great but functional.

All Bedroom are small except master bedroom 3. There is no extra sheets or bedding , all mattress attached to bed so you can’t bring to other room if you have small kids who like to stay with you 4. Mattress are too soft 5. Owner or some Propery manager sneaked in to backyard without giving call in advance Most of these doesn’t matter if you visiting in summer because it has huge deck , hot tub over looking lake 1. Nice projector setup 2. Huge deck overlooking lake 3. Huge dining area and kitchen 4 . Basement with pool table 5 . Huge hot tub

The property and location were nice .. inside reminded me a little of a college frat house.. when we first got there we found water bottles and beer cans in the couch cushions and under the couch that certainly weren’t from us. Besides that it was fine. 15 min drive to camelback- main room when you walk in with the fireplace is where we spent most of the time.. was warmest room in the house and the projector was awesome for watching sports.

The home was beautiful as described. It over looked the frozen lake with pple ice fishing. NOT us too afraid. The deers were 2 houses down beautiful site. The address we had wasn't the Google address so at 1st we couldn't find it but the home owner responded to my text immediately......My group ranged from 29 to 58.....only complaint the guys had was the pool sticks had no tips other than that we are looking forward to coming back in the summer 2021 to see the lake unfrozen. This house is the perfect location 15mins from the outlet and 12 mins from super walmart.....I would highly recommend renting this location you can't go wrong the home is spacious with 3 levels ooh yeah and the theater room was outstanding .......The xmas tree was a nice touch too.
