The hotel is older but has been updated with good lighting, the AC/heater was very good, room was clean, there was fridge and microwave, and beds were very comfortable. We were very impressed with management of this hotel. Breakfast was not complimentary but was very reasonably priced at restaurant on property (omelet, potatoes and bread for $5, add-ons for additional charge). Other meals were very reasonable and food was delicious; wish we'd been there before 7:00 closing to have dinner. Bought a whoopie pie and fudge - both great! - and several souvenirs at reasonable prices. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
Would prefer queen beds instead of double beds but we booked (2) doubles and each slept in a separate bed. Complimentary breakfast is nice but for the price is unnecessary, esp with such a good restaurant on property.

The restaurant next-door head awesome food
The smell of the malfunctioning septic system was really bad no ice in the room, or any coffee maker within the room

The room was comfortable with lots of TV channels. The restaurant and gift shop were great - food was real home cooking. The Inn is right off of 95, so it's easy to get to and it's only 15 minutes to Houlton.

The hotel closes at a certain time, and they did not have this listed anywhere on the booking site. With no office or check in place available after 7pm, I could not check into my room and was charged. I had to find a different hotel to sleep that night

Beds were nice, room was clean, fridge worked.
Heater was stuck on. All hot water - no cold. So showers were not an option. Unless you enjoy scalding.
TV remote had batteries that leaked and corroded.

Excellent value with a yummy restaurant and unique gift shop on site- very friendly family business!! I love that there is a black makeup washcloth!
Shower head needs replacing due to hard water aging

The restaurant.
t was very noisy! Sounded like someone was working or living above us. The vents were dirty and the ac didn’t work or we could not figure it out. The restroom door would not stay shut.

The motel room was very clean. The check in and out was flawless. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and a great TV along with wi-fi. Having an excellent restaurant on premises is a plus.
There were 2 beds in the room but they were full size beds. They need to be updated to either 2 queen sized beds or a single king sized bed. There is a lot of road noise as the insulation in the unit is not sufficient.

restaurant is always crowded, because the food is really good. Problem is they're only open from 7 AM on, so it's useless to most working types. Did I say the food was really really good...? Little pricey, but delicious.
toilet seat lid was broken and was not repaired while I was there. The tub drains very slowly and I HATE standing in soapy water. Both of these should have been picked up by the cleaning staff.

Location great...room was clean.
No coffee maker in the room, toilet seat broken, horrid shampoo packages, TV picture perspective off...only see two thirds of picture. Check in at restaurant was a problem... young woman was unfriendly... as if we were a problem she had to deal with. It was very overpriced at $140 a night.

staff was extremely rude and all over the place. The girl in the background of my phone call said “that’s stupid” when I asked if it would be possible to check in earlier than 2pm. They charged a ridiculous amount of money for a room with a broken toilet seat, stained towels, bugs in the ice cube tray, and a VCR that was held together with duct tape.

I have stayed here before and appreciate the no frills accessible dog friendly rooms. When the restaurant next door is open, it's a major draw.
With post Covid staffing shortages causing restaurant closure Sunday night and Monday meant no local food or AM coffee. The rooms don't have coffee makers. The home cooked meals at the restaurant is the major draw here.
The next time I stay here, I'll request a room on the far end so it will be quieter. Between people living above and guests coming and going ( nothing excessive) our dogs were on high alert wanting to bark. Restricting that, so as to not bother other residents, was a major challenge. Didn't have that issue others places.

Loved the shared restaurant. Lobster Roll and whole belly clams were very good. Like that it was close to the Canadian border.

The food at the restaurant was fantastic.
There were no instructions on how to use the heat pump, and the walls were really thin. I could hear my neighbors snoring. The snow and ice were not properly removed so there were hazards getting into and out of my room and car.

Staff/Owner went out of thier way to help us with making sure we got into our room as we were running late getting in.
Not a thing.

VERY CLEAN!!!!! Not gonna lie I was nervous going to a motel right off the highway because I figured it wouldn’t be clean! But it was great!!!!! Only thing is we got there around 7:30 pm and the restaurant was closed and we had to search for someone to check in.
( check in is in the restaurant) but I totally recommend!!!!!
That they close the restaurant at 7:30 and they make it hard to find where to check in!
