We enjoyed the beautiful view and sunsets over the sound! The beach was also only a short walk away and there were many restaurants close by. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Close to ocean and soundside made for beautiful sunrise mornings and sunset evenings. Spacious accommodations for us to meet up with my son and his wife who are stationed at camp lejune nearby. This has become our family favorite.

Absolutely stunning view of the waterway from the upper deck. Perfect for sipping coffee every morning, watching the boats come in. View of the ocean from the kitchen window made doing the dishes not so bad after all! Short walk to the beach was very handy since we had 2 children with us. We walked to the beach every day. Beach access that doesn't have public parking was very nice! The access point to the beach felt more private, less traffic and we didn't feel like people were on top of us. There is a donut shop just a short trip up the road that makes fresh donuts while you wait, we loved that! There is also a little park right up the road that the kids really enjoyed. Location location location! Amy is super communicative, kept us informed of weather changes (we caught the tail end of hurricane Ian) Overall wonderful experience, the location is phenomenal and the house is very functional. Would highly recommend this house, and Amy as your host!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at this house! The views are stunning! Pros: -They’ve renovated the two full baths. They are both gorgeous! Lots of storage in the bathrooms. - Washer & Dryer - Truly Stunning views of the sound from the back deck! - Short walk to the beach! Close enough to go back to the house for snacks. - super convenient to restaurants, grocery stores and surf city pier! - Very clean! - sliding doors along entire wall facing the sound. Great views 24/7! - King and Queen beds were very comfortable! - Nice screened porch for our one rainy day! - Outdoor shower was a real plus! -Keurig, blender, toaster oven, nice dinnerware! - Nice big table for everyone to eat together! - owner is super communicative! Cons - The appliances desperately in need of updating. Dishwasher is terrible. The front of the freezer door kept popping off. - Brew coffee pot is a tiny Mr. Coffee - Bedroom furniture needs updating. Seems like it is all from thrift stores or owners old furniture. All of it functions- just not pretty. - Not great bath towels-but they did have a lot of towels which was great! I’d bring my own next time. -Pillows are old and need replacing- bring your own! - comforters are not washed between guests. The first night we washed all of them. - Not a cooks kitchen!! We love to cook all our meals. There is very little counter space. I’d downscale the large table and put in an island (just a designers point of view!😜)inexpensive cookware, silverware is oddly tiny. Mishmash of cooking utensils, no large good knives. -no blow dryer -Both full baths are downstairs- one in the master and * one in the kids bunk room*. 1/2 bath upstairs next to the room with a queen. ***With some more upgrades this could be a top notch property!!****

5 minute bike ride to Surf City restaurants. Incredible view (sunsets) over sound. Very easy walk to beach. My family enjoyed it. Was a great trip.

Loved Surf City and our home away from home.

We love this house. This was our second stay over the last year. House is a short walk to the beach. Beautiful sound views and sunsets from the deck. House was extremely clean and nicely decorated. The floor plan worked well for us (2 adults, 2 kids).

Although not impressive as your enter the driveway, this is a well-kept, older condominium with easy beach access and lovely views overlooking the wetlands and inland waterway sound. The house has two and a half baths, and would be ideal for a family with both young and teenage children (based on the bedroom/bathroom layout). Easy email communication with owner -- no surprises, everything was fine.

Everything was great! In contact with owner and always quick helpful responses! Unfortunately refrigerator was having issues last few days and not keeping things cold. Couldn’t be repaired until after we left. Other than that, rooms were excellent. Captain’s Chairs made overlooking the sound so breathtaking! Sunsets were amazing! My family had a fantastic first visit to Topsail!! We will visit again!

We had a great time enjoying our beach vacation. Property is close to everything we wanted. Walk to the beach is convenient, view of sound is really nice, home had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. The house could have use a bit more of a deep clean for my liking but was fine overall and no issues. We would stay here again!

The whole process went very smooth. The house had all the things we needed and plenty of room. The porch had beautiful views.

We loved the easy access to the beach only a very short walk. The views of the intercostal waterway from the back of the house are gorgeous. This was our first trip to Topsail Island and we look forward to visiting again. We can’t thank Amy enough, check in and out was so easy. This beach house I would highly recommend.

This rental was great. We had two adults and a 3 year old. You are right across the street from the public access beach and the unobstructed views of the sound are breathtaking! Only 1.2 miles from town, it couldn't be easier. Comfortable house, great sleep... Nothing but good things to say.

We stayed Wed.-Sunday. The property was great, extremely clean, bathrooms recently renovated. All other decor seemed new/great shape. Loved the sunsets on the sound-side deck. Beach access was a very short walk. Very few other people on the beach. Had fun searching for shark teeth! Very short drive to grocery stores/restaurants.

This is an excellent beach house with beautiful views overlooking the sound. The beach is just a short walk away - very easy to carry gear to and from (another nice feature: this section of the beach is relatively uncrowded compared to the area closer to the pier). The house was clean and well appointed with all essential kitchen supplies, comfortable furniture, good mattresses, fast WiFi, Roku units on several TVs, and a nice outdoor shower with hot and cold water. One minor consideration: caution must be taken when exiting the driveway as the adjacent bushes make it somewhat difficult to see cars coming - inch out carefully! Again, a minor issue; on the whole this was an extremely pleasant and comfortable stay. Highly recommended. Thanks Amy - hope to stay here again.

Clean, great views, close to the beach

house was clean and absolutely wondeful,truly enjoyed our stay will definitely book again!.our only concern was the bushes along the drive way needed to be trimmed back a smig.otherwise we had such a great vacation.checkin and out was a snap!.very private and homey. cant wait to book again for next year!.thank you so very much.

The stay was awesome plenty of space nice distance grime the beach. It was very clean I would recommend for anyone the only thing I seen was the bushes needed to be trimmed at the driveway it was very hard to see pulling out without pulling in front of some one

My best friend, our children, and I met up at Surf City for the weekend. The decks were awesome and the sunset over the sound was gorgeous. It was a short walk to the beach and the outdoor shower was perfect for bringing the kids off of the beach. They loved it too! The house is only a few minutes away from restaurants and the kitchen had everything we needed for the meals that we cooked! Amy was great, we hope to come back soon!!!

The house was clean and well maintained. Beach access was literally across the road. The deck provides a 360 degree view with water on both sides of the house. Some of the local "attractions" are a little outdated but our kids still had a blast. Just a short drive to some great parks and even better food spots(donuts, ice cream, specialty sandwichs) . We would definitely like to stay here again soon. If you have a small family or are just looking to get away with your significant other do not overlook this great getaway!

Sunset Dream is in a great location! Just a 3 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to many restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. The house has multiple decks and the kitchen was well equipped. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed with a nice deck and view. There were some beach chairs and boogie boards available for our use also. Our host, Amy was very helpful and answered all our questions. We would definitely return to this beach house!
