Stunning Lakefront Home & Dock with Scenic Views in Peaceful Cove, Close to All!
Cette maison au bord du lac est très bien située près de Bridgewater Plaza et du centre-ville de Moneta pour les restaurants et les magasins. En outre, Bridgewater Plaza comprend la location de bateaux, putt-putt, pizza, crème glacée, musique live le week-end, etc.
Cette maison est entièrement rénovée (terminée au printemps 2015) à l'intérieur avec de nouvelles salles de bain et du bois franc à l'étage. Trois portes coulissantes en verre s'ouvrent sur la toute nouvelle terrasse. Il dispose également de 4 téléviseurs HD, du satellite, du linge de maison et d'une connexion Wi-Fi limitée pour surfer et consulter ses e-mails.
Premier étage: cuisine, équipée de vaisselle et casseroles / poêles pour la cuisine de base, a lave-vaisselle, micro-ondes, cuisinière à toit plat et nouveau réfrigérateur. La salle à manger et la salle familiale voûtée ont chacune des portes coulissantes en verre donnant sur la terrasse et le lac. La chambre familiale comprend une télévision HD. We had a great week at Smith Mountain lake. The heat broke for the week so it was perfect for sitting out, grilling, etc with OCCASIONAL dips in the lake. The house was great, the dock was great - especially the new stairs from the fixed to floating dock, th location was great!

First time staying at this home but hopefully not the last. The property was extremely clean excellent location and the property owners are helpful and friendly. Cannot ask for anything more!!

This was our third summer staying at this property. Just like the other years, we loved the house, dock, and location! The host made everything easy and had good communication. The house had all of the amenities needed. The dock was perfect for our boat rental and had a nice cove to swim in. It’s a short boat ride or car drive to the state park beach as well. We had a fabulous family vacation and can’t wait until next time!

This is our third year and, though the weather was not cooperative, we loved being there. The dock provided shelter, even during downpours, and the house is so inviting that the weather didn't matter- a great vacation for all of us. Looking forward to returning next year.

I cannot say enough good things about this property! Pictures do not do it justice. Sheri and Dale have thought of everything you would need inside the home. Outside is a huge paradise! The view is breathtaking and the new dock is THE BEST! We fished, swam, kayaked, paddle boarded, ate dinner, read books, and enjoyed ice cream from the Ice Cream boat. We are already talking about going back.

This was our second visit to this property and likely won't be our last. Sheri was very responsive and super helpful if we had any questions, but of course didn't need much because they have the house well labeled and appointed. We had a blast with the canoe and kayaks provided and rented a couple paddle boards to round out the non-motor fleet that the kids can easily manage on their own. The new dock is outstanding and was our favorite place to be! Highly recommend the property on its own accord and the location can't be beat!

You'll never leave the dock
Another fantastic week at the lake. The house and the location are amazing. The new dock pushes the experience into another dimension. We spent most of the day on the new dock- fishing, swimming, eating, napping. Despite a few days of 90 plus degree weather, the dock was comfortable and inviting. As my father said, there's nothing he would change - it's perfect.

Great lake front property
We enjoyed a great time at this lake front home. It met all of our needs.
The large deck was great for sitting/reading/ and enjoying the lake view. The dock was convenient for parking our rented jet ski while eating lunch. The game room kept the kids occupied in the evenings.
We also enjoyed the use of the canoe and life jackets to paddle around the cove.
Very comfortable accomodations.

Outstanding in every way. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, well stocked and ready for a visit. One of the best we have ever stayed at! Great accommodations and easy use for my parents (aged 92 & 90) . Hope to visit again next year.

Exactly what you need for a family vacation!
Great property that is big enough for the family and well equipped. Great location makes it nice to swim without worrying about boats coming through. Plenty of water toys, ski tube, water skis, paddle board, noodles, life jackets and various other toys. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!! We also rented a boat from Bridgewater marina. Thanks for sharing your home!!

Smith Mt Lake House Aug '21
Information from the owner was timely, accurate, and informative. House was just "as advertised" - clean, well appointed (kitchen had everything; water sports equipment was easily accessible); dock was well constructed (felt very safe with the kids), and the grounds around the house were well maintained. Owner left excellent instructions for check in and check out, as well as helpful signs for everything from using the washer/dryer to carefully labeled light switches.
Overall, a very pleasant experience, and good value.

Amazing Vacation Spot
We had a fabulous vacation at the lake!! The house was perfect- clean, updated, and had good internet. The walk down to the water was easy and not too steep. The dock was great and was easy to park our boat rental at. The location on the lake was perfect and the cove was an ideal swimming spot. We were close to Food Lion (10 min) and close to the State Park (15 min) which had a great beach that the kids loved.
I can’t say enough good things about the house and the lake. We will definitely be renting again next year!!

Even Better than Advertised
Responsive owners, lovely setting, great cove location - really enjoyed swimming right off the dock & local duck family visits - not too steep for my 88 year old father, and the inside amenities were comfortable and high-end. Even better than the pictures on the website!

Perfect location!
This was our first visit to Smith Mountain Lake as a family vacation and we could not have asked for more! The location of the home is absolutely perfect!! The awesome state park is very close (really nice with family friendly and more challenging hikes). There are two fabulous wineries nearby and, best of all, the lake location could not be better. The cove was perfect for swimming and enjoying non-motored boats, especially with our kiddos, who were learning and trying lots of boats for the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed the canoe provided by the owners and rented a kayak and a paddle board from Play All Day Sports (highly recommend also - they were great!). All were easy to paddle around in the cove and explore neighboring coves, without much traffic or wake from motor boats. The kids also enjoyed the game room and caught fireflies in the yard. The house was well equipped and we really appreciated all the thoughtful labelling and helpful guides. We hope to return in the future -- all was outstanding!

Enjoyable experience
Absolute wonderfull time, the house exceeded our expectations. First off its an excellent location in a quiet cove with close proximity to launch ramp and bridge water plaza.House was beautiful, very clean and we'll a pointed, right down to having the light switches marked. Boat dock was very nice, great place to tie up your boat and also sit out and enjoy an evening sunset. Communication with owner was always prompt and very polite. Would highly recommend to others and we will return. Absolutely no negative features about this house.

Fun family getaway
The house was very clean, fully furnished and exactly as pictured on the site. I visited with my husband and three kids-14, 9, and 6. They loved that the lake was just a few steps away. We rented a boat, so it was nice to have a dock. This is our second time staying here and we plan to visit again!

A wonderful place and a wonderful stay
Property was beautiful. Terrific location and very well equipped. Very nice decor & everything nicely maintained! We are already saying it's the perfect house for us & we should go back again next summer! Thanks Sheri for being so promptly communicative. Modern, upscale, with ample views and a great dock.
As advertised and reviewed. We had a great stay. All the comforts of home, with updated appliances, new furniture, and all of the expected necessities. Wifi is a little slow at times, but not what we were here for (and they do have Direct TV if you really want media). Overall a great stay.

We love staying here because of its location on the lake. It is close to Bridgewater Marina and grocery stores. The area is a peaceful wooded area. Plenty of room for 6 of our family. The kitchen was functional to make meals in. I would highly recommend this place with reasonable rates. This is our second time renting the place. We hope to come back again.

Great Family Vacation
We just returned from a fabulous week on Smith Mountain Lake. My husband, our 7 year old, and my mother and father in law were very comfortable in this clean and well furnished rental property on a pleasant cove. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep, a nice dock for fishing and launching kayaks and our rental boat, and a spacious kitchen and living area for games, movies, and dinners. We used the gas grill several times, and enjoyed the game room. A wonderful place! We hope to return.

Relaxing Week Away with the Family
Lovely house and great location for a family vacation on such a beautiful lake. The property is very private and sits on a quiet cove. The dock is in excellent condition and by boat, places like Bridgewater Marina and Waller's are only about 5 minutes away.

Simply Wonderful place to relax, unplug and enjoy the beauty of a classic lakeside setting.
My son, husband and I selected this property as a place to relax for a week after our elder son's wedding. It was the ideal choice. I read in one review that the photos do not do the property justice, and I agree. The home sits in a grove of white oak and beech trees. The decks are perfectly placed to enjoy the views down to the dock and lake. The surrounding homes are at a comfortable distance. We had our peace and privacy. Inside, we had all we needed to cook and relax as well. The kitchen appliances all work very well, and the refrigerator is especially nice. Beds are all comfy and the AC is just fine--though we had very mild weather during our stay. The layout of the house is well done. Game room downstairs along with a bed, bath and laundry room. The bedrooms are spaced so you do have privacy. Bathrooms are all clean and fine. Seriously, if you are looking for a nicely appointed classic lake experience, you can do no better.
We spent most of our time outside. We kayaked, canoed, swam and fished. SML is great for fishing. My son caught a monster catfish (8 lbs at least) and I caught some bass myself. We rented a stand up paddle board as well as a jet ski and had them delivered to house. A pair of giant heron hung out around us for much of the stay. We also saw oodles of deer and a few turkeys. All the while we were sending photos to our family. Our newlyweds thought the place looked so wonderful, they left the beach and came and joined us!
Many thanks to our hosts, the Woods, for doing all they could to make our stay a real joy. We just could not have had a better experience. This past week was a very special time for our family, made all the more so by this idyllic setting. I hope we go back.

Great family vacation in a fantastic home!
This was the second summer our family spent in this beautiful home. The home is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. We truly felt at home as soon as we walked in the front door. The dock is well maintained; we leave our boat tied up all week without issue. The location is ideal - an easy boat ride to Bridgewater and an easy car ride to the grocery store. Sheri and Dale are excellent to work with. They respond quickly to any questions you may have. Our family will definitely stay here again!

Awesome property!
I almost cried upon walking in the door to this property. It was immaculate! I’m a bit of a germaphobe, and walked around in my bare feet and sat on the furniture like I was in my own home. The walk to the lake was an easy one, and the dock was perfect for docking our rental boat, or just hanging out with the family and swimming. We loved the close proximity to Bridgewater Plaza and grocery stores. We will definitely stay here again! ❤️❤️❤️

All the Essentials Done Right - Well Kept Home, Great Layout, Great Dock and Cove
The property over delivered on all fronts. We are a new family to Smith Mountain Lake and had a great vacation. Thanks to Sheri and Dale - already looking forward to next year. Some highlights:
- Kids and adults swam and jumped off the dock all week. They loved the inflatables.
- We cooked at the house all week and the kitchen had everything we needed.
- We had lots of questions. Sheri and Dale were responsive and helpful.
- Quick drive to grocery store, marina and bait & tackle shop.
- Kids loved the downstairs tv and game room. Foos ball and air hockey were a hit.
- Adults enjoyed the upstairs for relaxing and watching world cup on big screen TV
- Deck and Yard have nice shade. Great trees for our hammock.
- Canoed and paddle boarded all around the cove.
