There was heavy rainfall on the first night that echoed from the ceiling which made it difficult to sleep for a short while

Its a paradise!

Villa Tucan is in a great location. I traveled with three teenagers and they had a great time wandering the town and shops nearby. There's many great restaurants a short drive or walk away. It's also conveniently located near all if the top sights. Bernice was great and helped with our excursions.

If youre looking for a beautiful, quiet, small hotel with and individual and thoughtful service, this is the place for you. I loved chilling in the hammock watching the birds and butterflies in the garden. i also enjoyed making breakfast or cacao in the spotless clean common kitchen. All the rooms are brand new. In 5 weeks travelling central america, this was the best place i stayed in - with a lot of Peace and quiet in the room and Garden and all the Restaurants and excitement when you step out. For me, this was a great mix.

The cozy environment felt like I was at my grandmas ranch house. Berenice went above and beyond helping us and answering our questions. Her recommendations on what to do, and which company, was spot on and made our experience of La Fortuna magical! We will be back next year with the rest of the family!

Everything the hotel had to offer met our expectations. If the hotel adds amenities that big chain hotels have it would lose its charm

The property is very private and beautiful. The volcano view from the pool was one of a kind and the outside kitchen was very big and handy. The room was very clean and loved that it had AC. Berenice was very sweet and helpful and she always replied quickly to any questions we had.

We absolutely loved our stay here - the grounds are so beautiful and we saw loads of wildlife whilst we were there. Villa tucan is in a great location with a view of the volcano and across the road from plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and shops and a slightly longer walk or very quick drive into the centre of La Fortuna. Its about a 15-20 minute drive (we used uber, which was really easily available) to the arenal national park. Berenice was a great host - really friendly and responsive and she helped us arrange our transport from San Jose Airport. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need for a short stay. Do not hesitate to book Villa Tucan - its an absolute hidden gem!

Beautiful location garden oasis. Resident Tucans. Easy walk to restaurants and grocery stores. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Host extremely nice and helpful answering every question. Hummingbirds abound, flowers and beautiful pool great place to stay, but they only take cash so be aware of that.

This place is exceptional, we loved how quiet and peaceful it was, even though it was located right onto the main road to Arenal, which also makes it easy to get around, find taxis and even all services accessible by foot (market, restaurants, tours, etc.) We visited the city center of La Fortuna and oh boy we were relieved to get back to our place outside of all the noise and hassle, it’s exactly what we needed. We woke up every morning to the sounds of birds and the looks of the luscious gardens. The room was spotless clean and the beds very confortable. The place felt so private, well looked after and safe. The incredible swimming pool felt like it was all ours during our stay. Berenice, our host, was really helpful by booking transport for us and offering her help, answering quickly to any questions we had. We would recommend to anyone who loves to relax in between the adventures the area has to offer!

We really enjoyed our stay at villa Toucan. The rooms are really beautiful, clean and spacious. They have a swimming pool and jacuzzi surrounded by a beautiful garden full of birds and even some toekans. We were welcomed by Berenice. She was very friendly and helpfull. I would really recommend this place to other travellers.

Such a beautiful place, the gardens and pool were lovely. Berenice was very kind and brought me ice when I hurt my foot and was very helpful with our tours! Location was quieter than staying downtown but close enough to uber there if you want to.

Walls are a bit thin between cabins, but not a big issue
