The condo was perfect. The screened in lanai was a huge bonus. The walk out right to the beach was a huge perk. There were 3 wonderful restaurants right across the street. The beach decorations were great too
However the elevator not working was a huge problem! And no advance warning was really terrible. Imagine our surprise to arrive with all our luggage and groceries to find we had to carry it all up 4 flights of stairs. The sign on the elevator said it was broken due to “the storm” and never mentioned which one. We talked to people in the pool who had been notified that it would be fixed before they left and it was not. No mention of how long it was broken. We did reach out to Resort Rentals and they said they thought it was fixed or would be very soon and they would let us know when it would be fixed. All of this communication seemed to just appease us as we never saw ANY repair people at all. I do understand that sometimes things happen but I may have canceled if I knew this going to be my vacation. Once we were there what choice did we have. We are almost n our 70’s and never pictured our vacation to be trying to get up and down 4 flights of stairs multiple times a day. Plus carrying beach bags and chairs was almost impossible. I can’t believe that this is acceptable in a world of ADA compliance. The stairwells were very hot and we dreaded the thought of going up and down. I feel that that there wasn’t a bit of compassion or apology from Resort Rental, VRBO or the owner

The head end of the master bed sags so you're laying downhill. Couches are old and worn out. The whole unit needs remodeling.
Don't use Resort Rentals if you don't have too. They do nothing but argue with you even on the simplest things. Very rude and unprofessional.

We love Arie Dam usually. The unit we stayed in this year was the worst we have ever seen. Needs a good cleaning, painting, curtains in master were missing to many verticals. Closet door in master was not attached and didn’t realize until it came crashing down on me. Master bed was so broke down I literally slept at an angle. Very disappointed in unit this time.

At Arie Dam #202, I did not have a good stay! We were late getting in, it was about 2:30 AM on Monday morning. We arriver to find the dirty laundry in the floor and the condo had not been cleaned. We located the clean laundry in the hall way outside and made the bed to sleep a couple hours that morning. Upon going to the office and advising Jennifer of what had happened she gave up another room, #204. After changing condos we had a great stay. I have rented from Resort Rentals several times over the years and have had a great time everytime except this one.

We had a great time at Arie Dam this year. The resort rentals staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our week in this condo. We would have liked to have had a pizza pan for use but otherwise we were able to prepare our meals upon arrival in the condo.

Madeira Vacation
We loved the location however the property seemed a bit dirty- many lightbulbs were out, the shower in the 2nd bathroom did not drain well and had to stand in water while showering, there was only 1 pillow in the spare bedroom. Had to get a pillow. there were extra pillows with shams on them- however we do not use those pillows since we know nothing of the cleanliness of those types of pillows.
Again we did enjoy our stay- and LOVED the location- just felt like the place was a bit dirty-
We hope to come back.

Ok - but in need of a Reno
For the price paid - the unit was tired. The bathrooms were in the worst need of a refresh.
The furnishings, beds and kitchen items were all fine - but nothing luxe about any aspect of this until.
The building overall was in fine condition, the pool area was suitable. The beach was great.

This property is great for toddlers. The balcony is screened in making it safer for littles. So close to the beach with great views. Recommend bringing your own beach towels.
