From the moment I arrived to the moment I left D’Argento looked after me and I felt welcome and comfortable the entire time.
That they didn’t wake me up with a Bloody Mary.

The location couldn’t be better, and the proprietor couldn’t have been kinder! They took good care of us and were extremely considerate of our needs.(My friend had a wheelchair.) Great restaurant, too!
Nothing.

Location and cleanliness
No one is downstairs to assist with anything before noon. The host was very kind and helpful and asked to call her on WhatsApp if there’s anything we need but we felt odd doing that at 8am, given we needed to leave the room and access the safe to deposit our passports. There were no instructions with the safe. In the end, we asked the cleaner who then called the owner.
Also- there were 2 out of 4 coffee pods that couldn’t be used as they’d been crushed a little. A previous guest tried to use the pods- you could tell as there were tiny holes in the pods. We couldn’t have our coffee. Again, didn’t really want to call the owner who lives off site to come over, just for
2 pods. I set them out to be replaced but again, the cleaner just recycled the same ones (!) so no coffee for 2 days.
However, Eleni (the owner/owner’s daughter) was LOVELY and always trying hard. We were offered water a few times and she was always very accommodating.
The restaurant attached to the rooms is also owned by the family. It’s called “il Giardino”. It’s ina stunning alleyway and is so charming and inviting looking but I have to say….without exaggeration, it was the worst
meal my husband and I have eaten in as long as we can remember- and without a word of a lie- the most expensive meal we had in Rhodes! We felt insulted that they’d think we’d be so stupid as to be happy with such poor quality microwaves food in tiny portions, for what we were billed. It’s a shame really. The owner is a creepy rude man who didn’t seem to care about our meal (he asked “how was your meal?”and when I smiled and said nothing (I didn’t want to complain) he asked again as if I was deaf. I smiled again and nodded and he called out the question even louder, attracting more attention. How awkward. He asks again but this time in French. I watch blankly. Then he has another go, in Italian. At this stage I’m embarrassed. Then he puts his fingers towards his mouth back and forth and says “You! Eat! Good?!

A really nice family business, with a very welcoming vibe. Airconditioning worked great for the middle of summer and had a great night sleep. Perfect location near to the fun centre of the old town but far enough out that it was quiet in the surrounds 24/7.
Curtains were a bit thin and let a bit of sunlight in, but nothing terrible!

The location was perfect for our trip and experience of Rhodes! The rooms had a wonderful ambiance and Nikos and his family warmly welcome their visitors. We enjoyed many meals at our doorstep.

The room was really nice; I slept very well. The added bonus of the restaurant downstairs made the stay worthwhile; I especially liked the moussaka. Eleni, her father and all the staff were friendly. A good place to stay.

The D'Argento is situated down a magical alleyway and the magic continues in their rooms which are tastefully styled whilst maintaining the historic features of the ancient building. The scent of the cedar woodwork adds to the sense luxury. The view from the window was a lovely surprise in the morning!
The hosts are warm and welcoming. They couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and help with our onward journey.
We will definitely stay again. 😊

Lovely accomodation, out 3rd visit as we go in/out to Symi.
So convenient right inside the Old City Walls and opposite the Symi ferry.
the symi ferry changed to the main port re winds. Not D'Argento's fault but quite stressful.
