The staff were fantastic. Couldn't do enough for you. The local drinkers and bar staff were the friendliest and kindest people Will definitely come back

The price is reasonable but that is about as far as the positives can stretch.

Terrible experience, upon entry the receptionist and a group of staff were drinking outside in full public view while on shift. When trying to be booked in and shown my room the receptionist was completely paralytic and unable to hold a conversation. The hotel clearly has absolutely no professional standard or pride in promoting their hospitality. Once reaching my room it was clear the night would not be tranquil. Admittedly the football was on and the noise reverberated throughout the hotel, however I waited this out to when the game had finished as this was expected but the noise was relentless. I requested a room change to try to minimise the noise and disturbances but any attempt to try to communicate this to the staff was met with drunken shrieks and no effort to resort a paying customers wishes. I left and found alternative accommodation and certainly will not be staying again. Please do not stay here- you will not get a good nights sleep and will be kept up from the unprofessional standards to which the hotel seems to promote.

Friendly helpful staff, room simple but comfortable

Unfortunately, the business had a new manager who had only taken on the business a few weeks before our visit, and was upgrading and making changes. In saying that he was helpful and put a few small things that were wrong right, very quickly.

Only slight downside was parking, had to go down a side street as town was so full

Great location near the river, local bars and restaurants. Room was clean and tidy. Other reviews said it would be noisy but it was very quiet and we had no problems at all.

unpretentious, clean, comfortable, brilliant location and amazing value for money. completely hassle free stay, will stay again. met the owner who was a very nice chap and runs a good business clearly. A warm and welcoming bar downstairs too.
