Cabins of this era have such craftsmanship, character, and charm! I'll always choose to stay in one over the nicest hotel or resort. A true Tahoe experience. Everything is just as pictured/described. Any suggestions are very minor - could have used a few more hangers or hooks, and the bread knife wasn't sharp enough to handle sourdough -nothing that would prevent us from staying again in a heartbeat! It was great to be able to do laundry a few times and to pack lighter anticipating that benefit, as well as not needing to pack beach towels as they're provided (we flew from NY). We have stayed in this area before and love the location, close to the Fire Sign for breakfast and central to everywhere else we like to visit. Richard was great to communicate with and responded instantly to texts. Don't hesitate to book your stay here. Everything was just lovely and we hope to return.

We loved our stay here. We used to have a cabin that was built in 1924 so we loved the old feel but this place has all the modern conveniences. Rich was very easy to communicate with. We really liked that we could walk to Firesign Cafe. Yum!

We had a wonderful week in Pineland. The neighborhood is very quiet, and we were just a short drive from wherever we wanted to go. The owner is great to work with. We will be back.

The cottage was perfect for our short stay in Tahoe. Quaint, clean and the location was ideal for all Tahoe City has to offer! The cottage came with two bikes that we used to ride the beautiful bike trails nearby and we also had access to a private beach just a short ride away. Check in/out was seamless. We are already planning our return to trip back!

What an amazing little retreat! We loved staying at this property. We were surprised and delighted by a welcome gift (bottle of wine), 2 bikes ready to ride and key to private beach club access just around the corner. So many bonuses for this sweet property! I would suggest just a couple small things to improve our stay-- in case you were looking to self-cater the kitchen was well equipped with everything except a dishwasher! So if you want to do entertaining be sure to get a friend to help you wash up. And second-- we stayed in the Queen bed upstairs in the loft-- there is only one window without a drape or blinds and that is directly across from the bed-- so we had an early wake up on the first morning with sun streaming in at 5 am! We put up a blanket across the window to block the light on the next night. Overall this was a FANTASTIC property and we will be back!

Well appointed, has everything you'll need, well stocked. The property is well maintained and clean. Property manager was helpful and easy to communicate with. The location is fantastic! Would highly recommend the Fire Sign Cafe. Lake is within easy walking distance, 5 minutes max. Lots of trail available in the area.

We had a nice stay at this little cabin in Tahoe City. Great location close to the bike/walking trail, beach, and restaurants. The weather didn’t cooperate for our stay so we ended up staying in for a couple of days. I was worried about the cabin not having central heating but the main wall heater worked really well and we were quite toasty at night sleeping in the loft. The smaller bedroom and bathroom were cold but both have space heaters. What was a bit annoying was the lack of closets to hang up our coats and hats. We ended up draping them over the kitchen chairs. We were also concerned about the lack of drapes upstairs in the loft but Richard covered them up with garbage bags so we were able to sleep in everyday. Note that the bathroom is on the smaller side and houses the washer dryer but the shower had great water pressure. The kitchen was well stocked but I think some of the pots and pans can be replaced. They looked old. So did the bedding. An upgrade to some of these amenities would be recommended. Everything was clean and usable but when you’re on vacation it’s nice to feel like the place you’re staying has a bit of luxury to it. Given the price of the place it would have been expected. Lastly the place is pretty small. We were able to find a place to keep our dog’s crate downstairs but if you have a family of 4 and a dog it might be crowded. While the place was cute and convenient I might choose a place with upgraded amenities next time.

Our second visit here and we love it! Verizon customers should note that cell reception here is unreliable reliable at best. So, leave your phone turned off and enjoy the beauty of the cabin and lake :)

This location and property offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. We especially appreciated that our 3 year old Brittany pointer was able to come along and join us on long hikes to Page Meadow. Richard is a wonderful host. We look forward to seeing him again soon.

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. I wish I could give more than 10 starts to this beautiful little cottage. My partner and I had a fantastic time and Richard was extremely proactive to all of our requests. You are welcomed with a bottle of wine, the place is extremely clean and there are 2 bikes available for your use. We had a fantastic time sitting by the chimney. Location was great, close to plenty of restaurants and fun activities. Will definitely come back!

Sweet cabin and just the right size for two-four. It’s private with nice cabins as neighbors. Love the enchanting style of the cabin. Will definitely come back again!

He was very helpful for any questions that came up prior to our stay. Excellent service. Neighbors are very friendly. Deli and cafes down the street are great at your fingertips. And the private beach was great. (Dogs allowed in before 10am!). Short drive to Tahoe City and other villages up the road. We plan to return again in the future! A much needed vacation!

Quiet and peaceful, but close enough to the beach and restaurants. Perfect knotty pine environment. The house is dark, however, so some additional lighting would be a nice touch!

The cabin has it all: character, convenience, and all the amenities you'll need to have a great stay in Tahoe. The neighborhood is ideal if you're looking for a more quiet atmosphere. Great food and coffee are a quick bike ride away. And the private lakefront park access let us avoid the crowds. Everything was clean and tidy. We were very happy with our stay.

We had an excellent stay. The cabin is clean, well equipped, close to the action and quite peaceful. We would rent again.

Given Covid, my friend and I cooked and grilled everyday during our stay as we preferred to stay away from others as much as possible. The cabin pretty much had everything we needed. It was quiet, charming, comfortable, and quiet. My friend had trouble sleeping past 8 in the loft given all the light that shines thru. We’d recommend curtains upstairs if this is a common issue. It was the perfect space for the 2 of us. Truly enjoyed our time and worth the price in my opinion.

Perfect for our family of 4. Super cute cottage. Very clean. Enjoyed the back patio and outdoor BBQ. Short walk to the lake. The towny bikes and helmuts were a nice perk. The complementary bottle of wine was much appreciated. Nice and quiet at night. I slept well. Would love to stay here again!

Love the house met all are needs, Richard was outstanding thank you for working with us on our request, kids had a blast up in the loft. With a short drive you’ll find several restaurant and grocery store by, great location looking forward to booking this house in the future. Thank you also for having the bikes that was definitely a plus for my husband

This is a wonderful cabin. My wife an I so enjoyed our stay on the West Shore. Beautiful location, restaurants, easy access to the lake and amenities. We will for sure return for another stay! Jeff S.
