Upon arrival we were eventually met by someone with the keys who was very difficult to get hold and then she showed us to a completely different apartment with no explanation. We asked why and she explained there was a leak in the original apartment. We should have been informed sooner than this and been given an alternative. The apartment was disgusting and had a completely different view from the original - a road outside and no sunshine whatsoever at any time of the day. It was filthy everywhere and we had to clean before we could unpack. There was no where to put our things as the owner has clothes, smelly trainers and old mouldy food in the cupboards. The bathroom cupboards were full of razors and socks. There was old cheese in the fridge and opened food in the freezer. The apartment definitely had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. We texted the owner who wasn't willing to do anything about it and so we had no choice but to stay especially as we had travelled with our elderly cat who was already stressed from the long journey. There were coackroaches everywhere and apparently the owner and keyholder are aware of this already! Included in our stay was a cleaning fee of 40 euros so we did the bare minimum before we left - took the bins out and swept up and cleaned the dishes and the keyholder said we abused the cleaning fee! We left it in a cleaner state than when we arrived. We have complained several times to the owner and keyholder but they are not willing to compensate us and we have took it up with Booking who have so far not resolved the issue. AVOID booking this apartment!!!!

Great value for money, well equiped kitchen. Well situated in a secure complex, only 7 minute walk to the center of the old town and 10 minutes to the beach. We were allowed to have a late check out at 6pm on our last day which was very helpful.

No wifi / internet, no bedding / linen or towels provided in the apartment (although I got some towels delivered the following day when I asked)
