It is a modest hotel, but the services are fantastic. The staff are very helpful and the cleanliness of the hotel is top notch.

Loved everything

Very comfortable bed and immaculately clean room. Windows actually open fully to give fresh air! Very nice breakfasts with ample portions. Very good value for money. Convenient for train station (right next door). Situated at the top of town within short (but steep) walking distance to Stonehaven town Center and sea front. Hotel in a pub downstairs which serves very nice good value food (especially fish which is fresh and caught locally).

No USB charger points in room. Wasn’t shown to room (just pointed in the general direction of the stairs); Staff very young and appear disinterested especially when bar is open and pub food being served. Education and training needed on standard curtesy for the young workforce. I wanted to book a table but was told by young member of staff they were fully booked. I explained I was a resident of the hotel and was begrudgingly “fitted in”. But my reserved table was occupied and I was placed on another table flanked by other clients, which made me feel uncomfortable. I was travelling on my own and would have preferred a table for one away from the main concourse.

They were very friendly and got the motorbikes parked up at the side of the hotel,meal# were great and not expensive

Meals were enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

One room was a little small but not a big deal.

Decent value for money

The facilities were a little dated / limited, and the breakfast juice jug needed to be cleaned.
