Location, kitchen and amenities.

Noise from above, water leak from the bathroom ceiling, last minute cancellation of originally booked two beds unit with a single queen bed unit. Outdoor/ indoor video surveillance and sound recording.

Good directions. Self check in. Laundry worked well and nice you had soap. Location. Neighborhood was quiet. Plenty of linens. Coffee supplied.

Maintenance issues: no hot water, blinds that were broken, front step was non existent and dangerous, spots on the carpet, very noisy furnace going on and off all day and night ( even with the door closed). Other issues that would kind of be expected: no blackout curtains, no salt and pepper, only one “cutting” type knife, no hair dryer, there was only one couch and no end tables or coffee table or lamps or chairs to sit on ( don’t know how 4 people could even watch tv unless you sit on the floor) Other issues: when called about the broken hot water heater, we were told that we would get a follow up call…we had to to call you the following day to check on whether we would get it fixed…no return call as you stated you would do.

Self catering which suited us. Had washing machine and dryer. Lovely setting. Good Amenities close by.

Sleeps six but needs more plates and dishes, equipped for Two really. Could do with some instructions for cooker, as out of country tourist may find it a bit confusing to work. Send the rental agreement before people travel as could not email the signed copy back. After several stressful conversations re access to property we finally spoke to a sensible young woman from vascular who gave us access code to property, we are 68 and 65 years and hardly going to trash the property!

It was a great experience, we had a wonderful time. Location, getting our information etc. was great. We stayed in a very clean location, outside the property was extremely clean. Instructions were very good, easy to follow.

We were a bit disappointed in our light in the bathroom. We called the customer service number on the sheet that was left for us and did talk to someone , scheduled for someone to come out and replace lightbulb etc. but they never showed up. It was a bit hard for us to take showers, use toilet. Had to leave a door open with the lights on from the sink and mirror area of the bathroom. It was a jack and jill bathroom.

The location is fabulous right near snow capped mountains. So much animal life around. Lovely village feel to Girdwood. I also appreciated the management company that answered the phone after hours and gave me the info someone should have given to us in the first place (probably Booking.com). The apartment has big living areas although no dining table and one lounge. Great to have a washing machine and drier plus central heating.

Not sure if this was a Booking.com failure but we were told we could collect the keys at the property (which is a 1 bed apartment). We weren’t told that the office closed at 6.00pm. Not where it was (several streets away with no address). Thankfully there was a number I called at 6.30 (I think an office for the company managing many properties). They were great and gave information about where to find s lock box at the back of the company offices 5 mins drive away). The technology in the apartment was hopeless. The TV had very basic free channels and all other paid channels ‘locked’. Needed 2 hand controls to operate. Worse still, there was a Wifi system in the apartment (operating and connected), but the OWNER refuses access to guests. Hard to believe that in Canada you can’t get an unlimited Wifi package. Place was also a bit ‘scruffy’, with carpet stains. kitchen had an odd mix I’d stuff (e.g. just 2 large plates). Worse still, the one bedroom had bunk bed with a small double on the bottom and single on top. Also a soft fold up bed squeezed into a VERY small room. As a couple, one decent double queen sized bed would have been better.
