We had a wonderful time at Sunny Side Cottage. Great house and great location. Loved the Greek Spot down the street. Lisa was very kind and helpful . We'll be back. Long Island sound is warm and beautiful.

This home is in a perfect location for a quick walk to the beach or a delicious bite to eat. It is warm and welcoming inside with beach vibes. We were lucky enough to catch a surprise fireworks show that was on the beach.

Cottage was the perfect size for our family get-together. Lisa, the property manager, was wonderful and easily reachable with any questions or concerns. She came in a jiffy and dropped off an ironing board, when I noticed there was no ironing board available and saved me from my wrinkly clothes. We liked the location and short walk to the beach. The beds were super comfy, air conditioning worked great, and we enjoyed using the grill to BBQ one night. All and all, it was a very nice stay and we made some fun family memories. Hope to come back next summer. Thank you again. Milford is a charming town.

Although we didnt spend much time in the house, it was perfect to come back to after a long day at the beach. Walking distance to the beach, friendly neighborhood, and easy parking.

Cousin reunion major success! Love the spot - very cozy Slept 5 of us comfortably! Our only suggestion would be some light filtering curtains on front facing bedroom bc that sun was lil much despite blinds! Lisa was lovely- would highly recommend!

We had a very nice stay at this little house by the water. We are locals and needed a place to stay while our house was undergoing renovations. We found it very easy to make this property a comfortable home for the week. An added perk was the beautiful sunrises and water view from the bedroom. Lovely place to stay!

I had a blast on my VRBO adventure! The location was perfect, and the property was super cozy. My weekend was filled with fun and memories. Great location and friendly host! Highly recommend.

My stay at LIsa’s cottage was wonderful. I was in CT for my Father’s funeral, arrangements, etc. and her thoughtfulness was impressive. She had flowers and a card for me and readily available via text or phone for any questions I had. The cottage was a daily welcomed refuge. It was spotless and had everything I needed. Milford Center was easily accessed from this location which is right across the street from Long Island Sound. When we return to Milford, we will definitely stay here.

This was such a great way to getaway for the weekend. Lisa was excellent at responding right away, and the property was fantastic. It was clean, homey, and just a walk across the road to get to the beach.

House was clean, seating area was comfortable, master bedroom was nice enough but we have a bigger bed at home so the bed took a bit of getting used to. (We knew it was a Queen when we booked) The bunk beds in the second bedroom were a little unusual in that the upper mattress seemed very close to the ceiling so not much space if you wanted to use it, but we didn’t need it so that didn’t bother us. Only complaint was there could have been a few more saucepans and a chopping board - might want to bring some if you are going to be self catering. Oh, and the house is right on what appears to be a quiet little road right on the beach but there was quite a lot of construction noise at times during the day and some noisy cars speeding by late at night - we were sleeping with the windows open. Loved the proximity to the beach and state park. All in all, we had a nice stay.

Cute beach cottage in a great location close to the State Park. Effective AC was very welcome during the 2023 Sept. heatwave. Well equipped with all the basics.

Wanted to spend a couple of days at the beach before wrapping up 3 months on the road. Milford is a cute town and the local beach is a sea shell collectors dream. The property was very spacious and clean.

Steps away from the beach, this lovely cottage is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Connecticut coast. The sunsets and sunrises are a sight to see, and you can even take a walk on the beach in the morning before anyone else is up. The cottage is well-equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms. The host is friendly and helpful, and they will go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation in Connecticut. We are definitely coming back.

Perfect for our family of four. Short walk to nice clean beach. Great location near Silver Sands park. We enjoyed walking out to the island at low tide. We brought an air mattress with us as other reviews mentioned the top bunk was difficult to access. I'm glad that we did, as neither of my kids felt comfortable sleeping so close to the ceiling. Parking is on street, but we never had a problem finding a spot. We would stay here again.

My husband, son, and I had a great time at Lisa’s house. It’s close to both the private and public beach. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed.

It was great….the only thing I really had a problem with was no dish towels, a can opener that didn’t work, and the kitchen garbage can was too small We had a great time!!

The house was clean, yet pictures were not accurate. The one bedroom with bunk beds, the top bunk there is no way unless you were very tiny to access it. Luckily my other son chose the couch to sleep. Kitchen sink attachment very loose, and the hot and cold water are opposite from what they should be. Ants- yes we are near a beach, yet,, ants all over back porch in the both bedrooms.Front bedroom ants climbing the walls or on my bedding when i woke up every morning. The bunk bedroom cupboard where the light is a huge ant mound was found on day two, approximately 20 -30 ants, I did see many ant traps throughout the house. We have rented many beach houses and have never had this problem with ants, Location was great to all of our needs for our visit, please include in your update that there are many levels in this house. I and my family were almost tripping due to the different floor levels on the main floor and the upper floor. The last thing is the back porch hose down or paint , replace chair cushions old and sad, the grill I was afraid to use, was very dirty.

It's a great property a few blocks from the beach. Our family loved it.

Our stay was wonderful. One thing is the sleeping arrangement of the queen bunk beds which was very hard for anyone to sleep on (too high for kids, too tight for adults) on the top part. Would have been more practical to put two queen beds or 2 king beds in the master with the most room.

All of my relatives thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and appreciated the stellar condition and accomodations. There were 7 of them, all over 65. Thank you so much for everything!

Great location by Silver Sands State Park with it’s boardwalk that we used daily for walks and a view of Long Island Sound and Charles Island. The property was clean and spacious for the two of us and everything went perfectly. There is a nice little Greek restaurant (The Greek Spot) about 2 blocks down (on the way to Silver Sands) that we ate at twice and enjoyed both meals. The property manager, Lisa, was very responsive and we had no issue for either check-in or check-out and enjoyed a problem free stay at the property. It was a great property to visit during the fall and to use as a base to explore south western CT. The surrounding neighborhood is mainly year round residents and it was quiet and relaxing for the mid-week stay we had.

We had a great time, there were no issues. Very close to the beach, which was really nice. We couldn’t find a broom to sweep the floor, but other than that everything was perfect. There was only 1 parking pass and it is no longer magnetic, so we had to put it under the windshield wiper every day whenever we left. You might want to get a new one so it is magnetic.
