Jst a stones throw from the beach, brilliant. Inside the property absolutely everything catered for. Fantastic welcome basket. One downside, there were a few maintenance issues that need attending too. To the owners your letting your lovely home down.

The house catered for our every need. Family and dog friendly, very close to a beautiful beach and a short walk to the pubs and restaurants in Seahouses. Welcome hamper was a lovely touch. The house is perfect for large family gatherings.

The house is really lovely with a great location. It's on the edge of Seahouses but you can walk to the town. The area was quiet. There's lots of room in the house and it's very sociable with the kitchen and lounge/dining area together. There's also a separate lounge. Lovely welcome hamper and lots of equipment. Highly recommended.

Property in need of a little TLC. It wouldn't take a lot of work but definitely needed. A little more care to make sure tables and tops are wiped down properly dishes place mats and pots left clean. Television in small lounge not working. No instructions for central heating Outside needs to be tidied-up as well. We had a lovely time together and the house is very near to the beach.

Another brilliant stay at Mayflower Cottage. The location is great for access to the beach and Seahouses. We had lovely walks on the beach, great food in The Bamburgh Castle and Craster Arms, and lots of fun at games night in the cottage. All 10 of us, from 8 years to 80 years old sitting round the table playing cards and roulette.

A return visit to this great property which comfortably held the 11 members of our family. A really lovely welcome basket of goodies was very much appreciated and the house was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location is perfect and I would have no problem in recommending Mayflower Cottage to anyone. We will definitely be back and thank you for making our birthday get together very special.

Excellent all round

Plenty of space for everyone and a quick path walk past the little park to the lovely beach and sea. Loved the children’s play room and separate dining area, they had so much fun! Comfortable bedrooms for everyone and bathrooms spread out so everyone had their space! Handy restaurants and take aways nearby and the Ocean Club a treat to use with friendly staff.

Overall an ideal property when meeting the needs of a family with a wide age range. Easy walking access to beach and rock pools and short drive to other places of interest . Walking distance to Seahouses. Property could be improved by replacing hose on en suite shower as leaking which meant low pressure from shower head. Garden at front of property needed tidying, it made property look uncared for.

Super property for a large group of friends, excellent location for long beach walks, golf, cycling and general sightseeing. Property was really well appointed with everything we needed for our self catering holiday, the downstairs living space was brilliant for our large group. We really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies 😊

Beautiful house 5 mins from the beach , well equipped with 2 fridges , 2 ovens plenty of crockery etc could just do with some plastic cups for the children. Lovely luxury bath sheets which were the biggest I've used . All in all a beautiful house , was just disappointed with the garden as it looked bigger on the picture and was also overgrown so the children didn't get chance to play out in it , but all in all a lovely family holiday home .

An ideal house for our family group - three couples, one single adult, two girls and a two year old boy. Additional reception room ideal for play room. Very convenient for the beach and Seahouses - food shops. Good location for outings in the area.

Just spent a long weekend with nine family members at Mayflower Cottage in Seahouses in Northumberland. The house catered for all our needs. A very spacious six bedroomed property with everything you could wish for. A two minute walk to the beach. Plenty of places to eat and drink in Seahouses. We can certainly recommend it for family gatherings. We’ll be back.

Lovely house loads of room. Had a great stay. The gardens could do with a tidy up and skirting board could do with a bit of attention very dusty. But that's just a small issue. All in all we had a great weekend

This property certainly caters for a family . We were 10 6 adults 4 children . Loved it . Spacious and well equipped . There is nothing you will need . Short walk to beach shorter one to playground and a nice 15 min walk with kids to centre . The sun shone for us this October can you believe it the kids and one adult were in the sea more than once . Ocean club worth a visit . I have been coming to this stretch of coast for 10s of years now and love it with all my heart . From Almouth to Holy Island this stretch is wonderful you will enjoy and coming back to a lovely comfy home with log burner and a glass of wine is the best . We will be back Thank you Nicola .

We booked this property for a 3 night break to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. The house was perfect for our family (6 adults and 3 children). The living areas were very spacious and the house was extremely well equipped. Everyone settled in and relaxed immediately and we had an amazing weekend. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. The location was great, just about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Seahouses. The booking process was very straightforward. Right from the initial contact regarding the booking this has been a seamless process with nothing too much trouble. There is nothing this home doesn’t have, it’s beautifully situated on the outskirts of Seahouses making a walk in either direction just stunning. The welcome pack on arrival was such a thoughtful and very much appreciated touch. Without doubt we would recommend. Thank you so much for making our weekend such a lovely one.

A comfortable and spacious property (allowing five of us a bedroom each) in a very quiet but great location near the beach. A great find.

This is absolutely a lovely house, well situated & quiet. Just a couple of things I would say, certainly as an owner I would make sure all cleaning products are available to clean during your stay. The shower screens either need replacing or thoroughly cleaned, hole in the wall on the first floor ensuite needs filling or toilet roll holder, the entrance path needs attention I.e. weeding & shrubs cut back otherwise a lovely family stay. Our grandchildren did not want to leave. Thank you

This property was spacious and perfect for a large family gathering. It has everything needed for a relaxing break. A couple of issues were sorted promptly and courteously by the owner. Have no problem recommending this property and would certainly return if ever in Northumberland.

The property overall was just the right size and the location was excellent for our needs, however, unfortunately, the property is in need of investment, modernisation and upgrading. None of the showers worked well enough and there was a concern that we, and more so the children, could have been scalded during use if we had not undertaken strict supervision during use, the temperature ranged from very cold to very, very hot. Some of the radiators were rusting, there were holes in the walls, some of the furniture and fabrics were in need of replacement, all of which should have been identifiable to the owner.

Great location and size. Well equipped. Although more 2 wine glasses would have been good! Disappointed in size of garden picture very deceptive tiny garden.Some pillows need replacing had to use cushions after bad nights sleep. Tumble drier would have been useful. Cleanliness ok surface wise but very dusty under furniture. Found a dog bone under sofa when retrieving a toy. Rusty radiators and showers in need of attention. Really irritating showers, inconsistent temperature and very poor flow. Sorry not usually a moaner but paid a lot for these irritating things that can be easily sorted.

The house has an excellent location to get to the absolutely superb beach and to all the amenities in Seahouses and the the surrounding area.

The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We were a little disappointed with the decor as it was rather tired. The bathrooms could do with updating especially the showers as only the first floor en suite was a decent one. The garden was quite overgrown (grass and shrubs) although someone did come to cut the grass part way through our stay . There was supposed to be a barbecue but we couldn't find it , the property could also benefit from a tumble dryer as it is difficult to get things dry when the weather is unsettled. The boiler was losing pressure and had to be topped up twice during the week . Beds were very comfortable with nice bedding. We did enjoy our stay but expected a higher standard for the price we paid .

The house was great, so large, well equipped and the location brilliant. My grandchildren loved the short walk to the beach. We all love the northumberland coast line. Also a beautiful and well thought welcome pack was lovely. We will definitely book again.
