This townhouse was fairly well appointed except there is no gas grill (i think it's an HOA thing). There are 3 upstairs bedrooms and each as their own bathroom. The inside and hot tub were also clean. The view of the pond and Gore range from the backyard and hot tub are great, but you are very close to neighbors on both sides. Also, people will fish in the pond during the summer. So your privacy may not be so great. My only annoyance was the keyless electronic lock on the front door and the garage door controls. It took awhile to figure out how to lock the front door (There are no directions inside the house or on any online checkin docs). The garage door only closes if you manually hold it down until it reaches the bottom. I could not figure out how to close the garage using the outside keypad.

The property is centrally located with great access to skiing and Silverthorne. We went with Vrbo instead of a hotel b/c: 1) we wanted to save money on food and planned to eat in, and 2) we planned to pack light and do laundry.
Issue 1. Hot tub. On first use, we found the water disgusting and it smelled like mildew. The floating chlorine holder was completely empty and the seating area was green and felt slimy. The jets quickly produced gunky foam. I texted Vacasa (the manager). They got someone out the next day. Tub was still a little green and definitely a lot of chlorine, but they did address the issue.
Issue 2. Clothes Washer. We discovered the washer agitator and spin cycle was broken after running through two loads that got soap into the clothing, but never got it out (itchy!) Also, the dryer vent was disconnected, so the whole condo was fogging up. Vacasa uses a text system to manage issues. Every time I texted for an update, they promised an immediate reply. But no update ever arrived. At one point, they told me they escalated to the Regional Manager. No one ever called, the issue never got fixed, and there was never any accommodation offered. We ended up doing our laundry by hand.

Very pleased as this property met or exceeded as advertised. Beautiful surroundings, quiet, walking trails, and convenient to ski resorts. My group of 3 would stay here again. Thank you!

Could use updated windows and shades and was somewhat dirty but overall nice for the price this time of year. Close to town but not in town. Hot tub was nice and beds were comfortable. Hot tub service person showed up unannounced and booking Kate check out didn’t get communicated to cleaners as they showed up early and weren’t aware of the late checkout. Would stay again.

Overall the house was adequate and clean. But a few appliances had trouble for us. The washer did not spin out the clothes so I had to hand wring them out before drying. The grill had a full propane tank but we couldn’t ever get it opened and working. The microwave tray table didn’t turn. And only 1 of 3 shower heads worked. All somewhat minor things but a tad frustrating.

The location is incredible and the unit was very clean. The biggest issue was the heat was not on at all when we got there so it took about 24 hours to get to temp. Other than that it’s a great place to stay.

Nice place, beautiful views, clean and had plenty of towels and kitchen amenities. Beds were comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and next to walking trail along the river. Easy drive to surrounding cities. Nice golf course.

Spacious and clean. Kitchen well supplied.
Hot tub in nice shape. No Kleenex provided. Could use an upgrade in water service. If shower was running, barely any water would come out of kitchen sink and of course with three showers you would have to time things carefully. No shovel on site which was odd.

Stayed with friends for Pond hockey tournament
Myself and 5 buddies stayed here for the Silverthorne pond hockey tournament. Unfortunately they moved the tournament from the lake outside the condo to Dillon Marina. The condo was great, snow removal was done immediately and it fit all six of us easily..

Great Stay
The property was very clean. We had difficulty with the hot tub, but I reached out and they communicated with me every day until we were able to get a solution. We also had a power outage that was county wide due to a storm, and Vacasa was very helpful in navigating through that and keeping us updated. Thankfully it only lasted a couple of hours. We would definitely stay again.

Bad communication, Bad management, Bad customer service
We've stayed in Silverthorne Colorado several times over the years and been very happy with the accommodations and the cost. We have never before done business with either VRBO or VACASA.
If you ever rent through VRBO, ensure you have contact and direct communication with the property host before you ever leave home.
If your property host is VACASA, don't waste your time asking for early check in/ late check out (even when the cleaning and maintenance crews don't stage the property before your arrival). Insist that a representative from the host meet you at the property and perform a walk thru before you take possession. Demand instructions for all devices (heat, hot water, hot tub, coffee maker, etc.) Be sure all amenities are in place (towels, washcloths, dish soap, laundry detergent, working toilet plunger, etc.). Be sure all blinds, doors, locks, TV, internet, DVD player are working and they've explained how to use them. Be sure you are comfortable with 'on demand' whole house hot water. (I've seen it used successfully in a bathroom but never for a whole house. You'll either be scalded or freeze). Don't be afraid to walk away if they balk, because there is no chance they will refund any of their portion of the money when things aren't right. COVID is no excuse for VRBO's and VACASA's zero star rating on this property.
At first they refused to reimburse the Hot Tub fee, insisting that it was working before out stay was complete (they finally got it running the last night of our stay.) We requested we be reimbursed for one of our three nights stay. They refused, insisting that reimbursement of the cleaning fee and the hot tub fee was close to the cost of one night.
My wife and I are retired seniors on a fixed income and feel we've been victimized by money hungry vendors intent on using COVID as an excuse not to perform adequate services.

Great location
The home was nicely furnished, bathrooms were clean, beds were firm but comfortable. Plenty of dishes and silverware. The small lake was fun for the kids to fish. They caught trout. (Catch and release only and no live bait). There’s an osprey nest across the road and they can be seen fishing in the lake too. Giving only 4 stars because there were a few things that could be better, like providing a broom and dustpan, paper towels, more than one kitchen towel, no laundry detergent for check out, poor water pressure in 2 of 3 showers. I would stay here again, these were very minor issues.

Wonderful stay
My wife and I had a wonderful weekend here. No real comments...only thing is that the hot tub has a lock on it and I had to call to find out the code as we couldn't find anything in the place that indicated the code on the hot tub.

Great Location
inside of this property was clean, and the location on the pond was fantastic. Hot tub was filthy and unusable though, and they need to add drapes to the bedrooms to keep the sunlight out at day break. Also, there were only two kitchen trash bags, and no laundry soap at all. Toilet in bunk bed was leaking. Tried to reach manangement every day during our stay, but absolutely ZERO response from them. An expensive rental (including the cleaning fees, hot tub fees, and charges to management, but they never get back to you to resolve. I will not rent a Vacasa managed property again

Wonderful Getaway!
Very easy to book and place was even better than advertised and expected. We loved our walks along the Blue River and enjoying the hot tub overlooking the pond and mountains!

Would like money back
AC did not work upstairs making it impossible to sleep at night. Fridge also did not work the first day resulting in hundreds of dollars worth of food going bad.

Refund Please
Hello, Unfortunately we have a few from our stay.
1) Broken glass around the hot tub. It wouldn't have been a good way to start the trip going to the hospital. We had to clean up the entire area.
2) None of the TV's worked. We spent alot of time trying to figure it out and all we could determine was cable bill wasn't paid.
3) Not manyt kitchen utensils to work with to cook.
4) Not enough kleenex in the rooms
5) Not enough extra paper towel to start with. We don't mind buying it but thought there could have been more.
Hope we can get some kind of refund from this. It was unfortunate for such a beautiful setting.
Regards,
Mike Murphy

Comfortable stay with amazing views!
We loved our stay here at Silverthorne Sanctuary and really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings right out the back door. The home was comfortable and spacious and we loved the hot tub in the evenings. The neighbors are close but super friendly and hospitable. The location was great to get out to tons of hikes and just right down the road from the Dillon reservoir. We had an amazing experience overall and would highly recommend staying here!

Great location but not cleaned well
This place is great...it’s right on the lake and there are a lot of places to take walks. There is a cute little beach area on the lake within walking distance. Our kids loved playing on the “beach”. The location is perfect.
My only gripe is that this place is not cleaned well at all. There are dead bugs on the window sill, hair on the floor in the bathrooms, hand soaps not refilled, conditioner and dirt in the showers. It’s disappointing since we pay a cleaning fee.
Also there weren’t instructions to get into the hot tub but it was easy enough to call the 1800 number and get it...might want to just include it in the instructions with the WiFi passwords.

Week in the mountains
Checked into this home on Tuesday afternoon. Great neighborhood with lots of activity and beautiful views. Enjoyed watching the muskrats in the pond behind the house, hot tub, and even seeing a bear! Overall, great place to stay!

Great location, great layout
The pictures are exactly what you get here! An easy to access location, three well furnished bedrooms, each with their own bath, and a great hot tub! I’m knocking off one star as, true to previous reviewers, the rugs were worn and not that clean, and the hot tub lib is broken such that it took two adults to open. The fireplace was also under repair during our stay, which was a bit of a disappointment. All that to say I would certainly stay here again if looking for a place in Silverthorne.

Great views nice bike path in the neighborhood
Great location close to stores and restaurants and a short drive to Breckenridge and Vail. We really enjoyed the bike path starting across the street along the river and the variety of hikes close by and the view from the patio.
The condo had a nice fireplace and the kitchen was equipped with most of what we needed. The rugs were filthy and the cover on the hot tub was broken and very heavy to lift
Impossible for one person. The upstairs was comfortable and had plenty of towels, soap, shampoo. Overall it was a great stay
I would go back. The property manager was very attentive.

Location
Location was only a short distance from everything. The trails, ponds and streams were great to keep kids busy while at townhouse.
The management company was great! We had issues with the DVD player and was very prompt in resolving them.
The townhouse itself is in need of updating. The rugs and throw rugs are dirty and dingy and all of the glasses are plastic! Great for kids but not for adults.

Comfortable and Great Location
We enjoyed our stay. The condo is clean and comfortable and close to day trips to Breckenridge, white water rafting and more. The front stoop and the back patio was full of cobwebs and dried leaves, etc. and likely hadn’t been used yet this year, so whomever cleans betweens stays should pay attention in cleaning those areas off. We tried to clean some of it, and maybe put a citronella candle on the table to help with bugs. Overall, the inside was great. My only suggestion would be adding a small table in front of the couch that faces the fireplace would give you a place to set a drink.
There is a beautiful path alongside the blue river that you can walk which is behind the condos on the opposite side. Bring your camera because there are some beautiful views!
