A very friendly greeting from Joy. The whole place is spotless and very tastefully decorated and furnished. My room was very comfortable with quality fixtures and fittings. I would 100% recommend the Whitehouse.

Location was great, room was clean and welcoming.

Wi-fi was almost non-existent and there were very few TV and radio channels on the Freesat TV. Perhaps the host could recommend good places for breakfast? Wetherspoons was fairly poor although reasonable value for money.

The location was good, close to the centre of town in an attractive building on a very pleasant street. It was easy to park outside.

The parking was great, immediately outside the property. Joy, the host was charming and very welcoming. We slept well. We had a really good meal at the Royal Hotel, just a short walk away, see 3 photos of views from outside terrace - can recommend!!

We paid £104 for a one night stay which did not include breakfast. The room was a little tired with miss-matched furniture and ‘artwork’, fake flowers (dust catchers) and a very strange tiny ‘wedge’ of a wardrobe with 2 old plastic hangers. We didn’t like the fact that ‘toiletries ‘ were advertised but this turned out to be a basket of family sized bottles on the stairwell which could be used/shared between guests! Some were half empty- which is not very hygienic! The ironing board kept on the top landing was burnt and ripped. The river ‘view’ was actually river ‘glimpses’ from across the road- but we did see swans! (See 2 photos from bedroom window). On the plus side it was kind of the host, Joy, to provide the toiletries and ironing board, but just not for us! We did sleep well.

Sad it was room only, but recommendation excellent. Both of us being 80+ found stairs a bit difficult. Room excellent & ver clean. Thanks

Great location next to town & river. Quite expensive for room only but accept that UK accommodation is at the moment. Quiet location and nice views over the river. Owner is friendly.

We are non smokers and it smelt like the owners were smoking downstairs. Only really an issue on coming in and out of the house.

Property is in the perfect location for visiting Ross on Wye. A lovely welcome from Joy and I felt at home immediately. My room was cosy and very comfortable with a view of the River Wye. Would recommend this guest house for any short break.

It is a shame that breakfast isn't available but that is clear when you book.

It was very convenient for walking into the Town centre and close to the river.

There was no soap in the bathroom and it was very small. The wifi was poor and no designated parking for guests. The owner was very nice and helpful but she was a smoker which permeated the whole building.
