We loved our stay. The house was a perfect size for our group of 6 and we enjoyed all of the space for relaxing both indoors and out. We all loved the newly installed outdoor teak shower. The place had everything we needed to cook meals and spend days at the beach. Host was very nice, responsive and flexible. Highly recommend!

Great location - couple of blocks from the beach and restaurants and shops. Great price. Very cozy and charming - the property is a little older, with some parts that have been redone (kitchen), but some still a little older (bathrooms). The backyard and porches are awesome. Owner responsive and helpful. Would recommend for a family of 6 or group of 6.

There is something very welcoming, homey, warm, and friendly about the home. I can’t put my finger on it but it is an immediate vibe. It might be all the art and books, and comfortable beds and furniture? I don’t know but I look forward to returning.
The house was completely stocked with everything we could need, as promised. I especially appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella!
The neighborhood is peaceful. I loved listening to the birds in the morning. I wish I’d taken advantage of the backyard; I spent every possible moment at the beach instead.
There were a few very minor issues with the house now and then, but the host was so lovely about it. She is not just gracious but also her communication / responsiveness was great.
One of the issues is with the front door key. Tip that she provided, and that worked perfectly: DO NOT put the key ALL the way in the lock - it won’t turn if you do that. Wiggle it out like 1/8th of an inch before attempting to turn.

Selena was a fantastic host and we absolutely loved our stay! The home was spacious, super clean, comfortable, fully stocked with everything we could ask for - kitchen, games, towels, beach gear, We are a family of five and had plenty of room. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and walks to the nearby beach and boardwalk. Highly recommend- we’ll definitely return!

Was super happy to find this location on short notice and loved everything about our stay! The host is so accommodating and quick to answer questions. The home is one of the most stocked I've ever stayed in with many plates, glasses, utensils etc. that other properties usually skimp on. The front and rear patios are spacious and great options for entertaining. The home is 3 blocks from the boardwalk/beach and the rental includes beach access passes which is a huge plus. Even beach gear like chairs and wagon are included! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Man Micheal was a great host and he has a special home that welcomes you, plenty of room indoors and out, has everything you need it’s in a great aria with lots of restaurants and the beach was within walking distance and very nice beach. Would definitely go back to Micheal’s house and that area in Long Beach. Thank you

If you're familiar with Long Beach, you'll love and appreciate the appeal of this home. It's a home that fits what Long Beach was not what it is now. Open area for the kitchen/living/dining, fabulous balcony (great to nap on), bathrooms are nostalgic, master a little small but again true to traditional Long Beach home. As for the host... a gem! Very welcoming, great with communication, helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Great stay. Super close to the beach. But the 1st floor balcony also got plenty of use! Great way to start and finish the day.
Host was extremely flexible on check in and check out which was a huge help as we we travelling from overseas. It is just the top floor - exactly as advertised. But there was plenty of space for us (family of 5). Thanks for a great beach break.

The apartment was bigger than it appeared online and better stocked than any rental I have had (games, books, toys, extensive cooking tools, Apple TV streaming...).

We had an absolutely fantastic month at Michael’s property. The location was perfect, 2 1/2 blocks to the boardwalk, and a 12-15 minute walk to the train every morning for my commute into New York City. The house was lovely, the bedrooms comfortable, and we could not have been happier. Michael also provides a ton of beach equipment and all the linens were already included, which made life so much easier for our family considering we were driving from the Midwest. Pro tip: there are outdoor balconies at both of the front and back of the unit, so when the weather was nice there was plenty of room to spread out which really comes in handy when you have teenagers like we do :)

We stayed at this property for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend. My husband and I, two grown daughters, a son in law and a grandson. The property worked well for us. Michael was very attentive. Next time we hope for better weather, but the property was great. Very convenient to the beach and boardwalk.

Michael's place was great for an extended stay and his location could not have been better! Close to the beach, train station, and Park avenue - we couldn't have found a better spot on the east of the island. His place had everything we could have needed and was plenty spacious for six adults. There was the perfect amount of seating for everyone inside and out and the house was fully stocked for whether we were spending a night in - cooking and enjoying a movie or heading to the beach for an all day affair. The best spot was the newly renovated front porch - perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning and sunsets in the evening! Can't wait to come back again! We will 100% be back. Thanks Michael for being an amazing host!

First of all, we are all so well rested from the week we spent at Michael's home. My husband just kept napping the whole time he was there. My daughter's friend said she wished she could just live there as we were leaving. Between the comfortable furniture, open layout and the easy breezes that pass from the back of the house to the front, one's troubles seem to get swept away. It was just so delightfully relaxing. Plus, we had almost everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked. The frig was stocked with milk and half and half thankfully! Plus, there was plenty of spices, teas, oil, plastic/foil for leftovers. Every time we said we needed "x", we would just look in the cabinets and there it was.
There are just so many perks about Michael's place that allow one to just "be" while you are there: easy parking, numerous beach passes, plenty of beach equipment, as well as an easy walk to the beach and boardwalk anytime of day. We could just ease right into the Long Beach lifestyle.
Overall, we had a GREAT stay and the serenity still lingers. We've stayed at many hotels, timeshares, apartments here and abroad and Michael's beachside retreat was the most relaxing by far. And isn't that why one goes on vacation?

Michael was very attentive to pre-visit questions and met us on arrival. Walking distance to the beach and boardwalk—chairs, umbrella, towels and even a cart were provided. We brought a bicycle and enjoyed early morning ride on the boardwalk. Comfortable deck with grill worked out great! Just the break we needed during these challenging times.

5 of us travelled from Wales in the UK on May 30th for a two week stay and we were delighted! We had all spent time in NYC previously but on this holiday we wanted to combine the beach and city and not drive. Michael was a joy to work with and was there to meet us after our long journey (we left home at 7pm on May 29th!) the house was perfect everything you need plus some. The house is a short walk to the beach and about 10/20mins walk for the LIRR. We used the railroad almost every other day and the service was second to none. Before travelling we arranged a home delivery from Waldbaums supermarket which arrived on time and saved us going out, we also had another home delivery the second week. Other than a few drinks and snacks locally we ate in the City and at home, Michaels BBQ was very useful and as the weather most days was good we made use of it. We took a rotunda trip on the trolley bus which helped us get our bearings, we visited Shines bar in the West End and spent a lovely hour or so chatting to a local man, this is an old bar and was most welcoming, in fact every bar we went to was the same, everyone interested in where we were from, would recommend Pop's Bar on the other side of the bridge too. We did loads in NYC, the new One World Observatory was fantastic as is the 9/11 museum although very emotional, we saw Jersey Boys on Broadway which was so good.....I could go on and on for ever....go to Michael's house and discover how good it is!

We rented Michael's apartment for a 4-day family getaway last week and had an absolutely lovely, relaxing vacation. The home is tastefully decorated, and had every amenity we could have wanted. The open-concept living area is bright and spacious - with a comfy couch, chaise lounger and rocking chair - perfect for lounging :)
The kitchen has new appliances, a wide range of pots and pans and a well-stocked pantry. The terrace was a lovely place to sun ourselves - when the beach was cold and windy (it has been an unseasonably cool May in NY!). The home is well located - a 5 minute walk from the beach and the new boardwalk and about 15 minutes away from the LIRR train station.
Michael provides beach passes, towels, chairs and umbrellas - everything you need for a perfect beach day! We didn't use the grill - as we ended up eating out quite a bit. There were some lovely neighborhood gems a short walk from the house - our favorites were Nagahama (Japanese), Corazon de Cuba (Cuban) and Jordan's Lobster Farm.
For groceries - the Waldbaum's near the train station was well priced, with a great selection of produce and deli items. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and Michael went out of his way to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable in his home.
I'm looking forward to my next mini vacation to Long Beach, and returning to this property!

Rented this place for a week in mid-July. Had an amazing stay, the house is very comfortable and relaxing. It easily sleeps six people without feeling cramped. The open-ness between the kitchen, dining area and living room make for a very spacious great room.
The house was very clean and neat upon arriving. Michael is a gracious and accomodating host, he is friendly and very easy to deal with.
The house is only a few short blocks from the beach/boardwalk. Which was convenient for surfing lessons, as the surf beach is one block away. Several beach passes and chairs are included with the house.
The terrace is a bonus and great for sitting outside in the evenings and bbq-ing. Washer and dryer downstairs are a plus as well.
The railroad, supermarket and several restaurants are all within walking distance.
I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place!

I have rented this property, with my family for the past three years, and would definitely recommed it. Located on a quiet, tree lined street with a balconey, and grill, their is also a small front patio, and a nice garden. The boardwalk and beach are within walking distance. It is convenient, shopping and the LIRR. The furniture and kitchen, are very nicely done. The house is well cared for.

We came to NY to visit our adult "children" and we wanted to be near the city (for commuting purposes) but feel like we were on vacation. Long Beach was perfect, We loved it. The house is located close to everything we needed. It was spotless and we felt very comfortable. Michael was very helpful and a delight to work with. The beach is beautiful and the boardwalk was great. We would definately go back and stay again. The only caveat is that the living space is all upstairs which for us wasn't a problem. The front deck was fun to sit out on to enjoy the sun and relax. The back yard also had chairs a table and little fire pit that if we had more time we would've taken advantage of. All in all it was exactly what we wanted for our vacation.
