Beautiful Victorian Carriage House Steps Away From Beach

À quelques pas (environ 100 pieds) de la plage privée, le Carriage House of Onset Village est situé sur la magnifique baie d'Oset. Le Carriage House n'est qu'à quelques pas du pont de pierre du village avec ses boutiques, ses restaurants, la jetée d'Onset et un été riche en événements. Il y a une belle vue sur Onset Bay!
L'unité au deuxième étage a une disposition contemporaine et ouverte avec la sensation d'un chalet moderne. La cuisine et le salon sont ouverts avec une section dans le salon. Il y a 2 chambres, une avec un lit queen et une autre avec un lit double et un lit gigogne en dessous. La cuisine est équipée de tout le nécessaire, y compris un lave-vaisselle. Il ya une salle de bain complète avec baignoire et serviettes sont fournies. Une laveuse / sécheuse empilable est située dans l'unité.
Les draps sont fournis avec des serviettes de plage, des chaises de plage, Internet sans fil et la télévision par câble avec lecteur DVD. Il y a une douche extérieure pour garder la plage à l'extérieur où vous en aurez envie et un barbecue à gaz pour les soirées d'été lentes.

The Carriage House in Onset has pretty much been a staple in our lives for the past 14-15 summers with 2 exceptions (Covid when we did not travel to East Coast & ‘21 when we were unable to make our dates work). It feels like home for us!

Had a delightful week, the rental was clean and well positioned steps from the beach in a quiet neighborhood (other than the continual barking dog for 5 days!!) It is very easy to visit other areas of the Cape and with the good weather couldn't have asked for a better rental. Sit back on the beach with a good book. I will definitely return and hopefully next year!

Adorable property, very clean and accessible to walking distance restaurants/downtown/beaches. My kids (5&3) thoroughly enjoyed the deck and the wonderful private beach. The kids still talk about exploring the shells and tide pools.
I would highly recommend Jude’s property… we stayed in the top unit, but she also has the bottom unit. She was staying downstairs with her family the weekend we visited and did complain about the kids walking around in the morning, so if you have kids I would recommend staying downstairs if you can (we booked that first but she asked us to shift upstairs so her family could visit)… very difficult to have young children sit still :)

We enjoyed our stay in Onset Ma. The rental location was really good. The rental was good too. The outside balcony had a beautiful view of the harbor which we enjoyed for morning coffee and evening cocktails. We had great communication with the owner.. The rental was clean and well appointed. I would definitely recommend it.

The listing stated a trundle bed, however it was just a twin mattress on the floor under the bed.
The silverware drawer had mouse droppings.
In the coffee table drawer were used dirty tissues.
In the dresser drawer there were a pair of mens underwear.

Wonderful place
My husband and I and our adult daughter stayed here over the long holiday weekend and had a delightful time. The place was very clean and well-appointed, the beds extremely comfortable and the kitchen seemed fully stocked, although we didn’t do any cooking beyond making some toast in the mornings. Jude was quick to reply to any messages— and was very gracious about my parking in the wrong place one evening😊. Even though the weather was a bit cool for it in early October, I loved starting each morning on the deck with a cup of coffee, gazing out at the bay/ocean. Would definitely return on our next trip to the Cape.

September in Cape Cod
Jude’s place was perfect for our September visit to Cape Cod. Communication was fast and easy. The place was exactly as described. The beds were comfortable and it was a quiet neighborhood so we were able to leave windows open at night. We used the place as home base and drove to a different city every day. We were able to walk for pizza and breakfast. We loved having coffee on the deck looking at the water.

This unit was absolutely perfect for our stay. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with all the way up to our arrival. The unit was clean and spotless and just a few steps from the beach as promised. Everything you could possibly need was supplied.. We had a great time there and hope to go back again!

Get-away weekend
I surprised my husband with a weekend away for his birthday. The carriage house was lovely - super clean and a great location. We walked to nearby restaurants and picked up take-out for our dinners. We visited the nearby Cape Cod winery, which was fabulous, and we enjoyed walks on the beautiful beach across the street. We’d love to return sometime!

Onset farewell to summer getaway
This was a great experience from start to finish. The property was exactly as described. The access to the private beach across the street was perfect seeing as the main Onset Beach was a bit crowded for our taste during this crazy time. The neighbors were all very nice, cute little neighborhood. One couple even gave us a tip to visit another lesser known beach when the tide came up too high across the street. It was within an easy walk and we would have never known it was there and open to the public. The sunsets were pretty amazing, the house is spacious, clean, had everything we needed, and its proximity to the village center couldn’t be beat.

Lovely quiet getaway
My husband, two teen girls, and I booked the midweek special and the carriage house was just perfect for us - the girls could each have space to themselves while the adults relaxed on the deck with a view of the water. The location is great - a quiet neighborhood with a private beach just steps away, and an easy walk to the public beach and several dining/take-out options.

We had a great time. Private beach was so convenient. Off street parking for up to two cars. Great restaurants within walking distance. Trevors at the end of the road was a great hidden gem. Overall we were very happy and had a great time.

Best vacation in a while!
The property was exactly as described and was the perfect size for our family of two adults an 3 teenage girls! We brought our own air mattress as the girls prefer that sometimes and we were unsure of the extra sleep options but, had we not brought it there was a mattress under each bed to use!
The kitchen was stocked well with dishes and cookware as well as cutlery. We brought our own paper towels and paper goods to use.
We brought our own laundry detergent to use the in unit washer/dryer which was great to have!
The coffee maker uses cone shaped filters and thankfully Jude had some on hand making my morning coffee on the deck with the view of the bay that much better!
Off street parking was great and even though we had a large Tahoe there was plenty of room.
I wish we had thought to separate our trash from recycling as we do at home since it looks like we had a lot of trash which was mostly recycling, I think.
The shared grill was great to have use of and easy to work.
The private beach and close walk to Onset Village was exactly the balance our family needed for a good vacation. We took a trip to Hyannis one day and got in some shopping and dinner without having to navigate the crazy weekend crowds.
Jude was easy to communicate with as needed for silly things to bigger things. Cannot wait to book a full week for next summer!!!!!

The second floor unit was spotless. And well-appointed. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook there.
We were a 1 minute walk to a quiet private beach.
Jude was very prompt in answering any questions we had.

Wonderful stay and the house is cute in every way!
My family and I stayed using the mid week special. We had a wonderful time in the quaint little neighborhood. It is a short walk into town where there is local restaurants and shops and an even shorter walk to the small private beach on the bay. It is also a short drive onto cape cod where there are more attractions. The carriage house was adorable and wonderfully appointed. Everything we needed was provided such as enough kitchen tools to cook our own meals some nights. We loved the little deck with adirondack chairs on it. We sat out there with drinks and felt the breeze coming off the bay. There were so many cute decorations in the house you felt the cape cod vibe. Communication from the owner was quick and detailed. Everyone was nice all through the town. It was a wonderful vacation and a great way to stay someplace quiet and still enjoy the all the cape has to offer.

Absolutely lovely
My family and I spent a last minute 3 night stay at the carriage house and I must say it was absolutely lovely! The house is adorable outside and is surrounded by beautifully maintained Victorian homes, literally steps from a private beach. It was a little unclear initially where the private beach was and where exactly on the private beach we were allowed to set up - but Jude was quick to answer our questions! The water was very calm and perfect for kayaking - even for our 9 and 11 year olds. The tide does come up all the way to the seawall at high tide but there are 2 other public sandy beaches within walking distance if the tides arent in your favor. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated. Reminder - bring toilet paper! I missed that in the description! But all linens are provided. There is an AC in the main kitchen/LR area but none in the bedrooms. However fans are provided and were enough to keep it cool when we were there. Jude was quick to respond whenever we had questions. One suggestion - a quick 1 page, laminated info sheet on the table upon arrival would be great. Something that reiterates check in/check out time, what needs to be clean upon check out, where the private beach is and where you are allowed to set up, wifi password...having these things at our fingertips would have been great and then we wouldn't have had to bother Jude with questions :) But overall we loved our stay and hope to return!

Amazing Stay!
My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the carriage house at the end of July. The location to the private beach was excellent, it was right there. Perfect way to spend the day, especially during the pandemic. The house was lovely, very clean and everything you needed. The balcony was wonderful. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset or have coffee in the morning. Communication with the owner, Jude, was fast and easy. Definitely recommended staying here. We can't wait to go back.
