A propos de ce cottagerental
Pets Welcome. Private. Right on the Lake.

Cindy is a wonderful host, and the home is organized perfectly for visitors. EVERYTHING you might need is available and easy to find. She has even included towels for the dogs after swimming (there are linens and towels for humans too!) Couches are freshly covered for people and dogs to relax on together. Yet the whole place is immaculate...you would never know other dogs and people were there before you. The cottage is welcoming and relaxing with lake views from every window. The water's only a few feet away and you can hear the waves lapping at the shore. The downstairs bathroom is clean and attractive. Upstairs, the bedroom has big windows over the water and its own rear outside door lets in the fresh lake air.
Outside is laid out perfectly for your enjoyment. There is a porch by the entrance with an umbrella table and chairs. Scattered alongside the wide shore line are Adirondack chairs, a campfire all laid out (with extra wood nearby), and another deck area with table and chairs under the trees. It always has a lake breeze and shade (they call it the cafe). Within minutes of arrival we were settled in there and the dogs were in the lake swimming!
The cottage location on Seneca Lake is surrounded by small towns which are fun to explore, and the City of Geneva is 15 minutes away if you're looking for more. We also enjoyed the town of Waterloo and their fun Drive-in food restaurant and diner. Come visit...just don't take my week...we'll be back! Thanks, Cindy!

Everything is just right! What makes us happiest is seeing our dogs play freely and safely. Thank you, Cindy, for sharing your cottage!

Perfect location! Stunning views from this charming cottage on the lake. And I mean ON the lake! Water is mere steps away, our pups loved swimming and the privacy to roam free. A shaded area for hot days, and a beautiful dock to enjoy the sunset. Floatation, kayaks, canoe all readily available. Cottage is absolutely spotless and very well taken care of. Host is nearby if needed, very kind and welcoming. Had a great stay, will definitely be back!

What a wonderful place to stay! The owner is right nearby, and very gracious, communicative and helpful. She provides a full tutorial on all the home's systems, as well as its history. The home is immaculately clean, and well-appointed. Great air conditioning (if needed), but the windows provide incredible lake breezes. The views are lovely, the sunsets are incredible. The place is VERY dog friendly -- so much so that the owner publishes a little book of canine visitors for each year. The home is RIGHT on the water, and the lake is pretty quiet -- not a ton of boat traffic. There's a huge state park nearby with some good hiking and biking. HIGHLY recommended.

My husband and I had a wonderful long weekend celebrating our anniversary together at Cindy’s cottage. The size and layout were perfect, and the view is outstanding! We appreciated that it was very clean; you can really tell Cindy cares about the space. It felt like being in paradise, even when we encountered a somewhat chilly and wet weekend. We would love to stay again in the future and would recommend it to any couple(s) looking for a beautiful Seneca Lake getaway.

Truly Wonderful host ! Cindy was always available to answer questions and guide us for places to explore.
Her home provided all the comforts needed for our stay. Having the Lake view right outside was wonderful! Our puppy being able to come along was also critically important to us.
Wonderful relaxing stay!

My wife and I had a great time at the lake house! Cindy is a superb host and the lake house is very clean, comfortable, and of course has amazing views and access to the lake. We will definitely come back, and next time bring our dog!

Perfect weather and enjoyed the firepit after a busy day.

This is our third time staying at Cindy's place. Everything is always clean and comfortable. The proximity to the lake is amazing. With the cooler weather we were able to enjoy the firepit which is steps from the cottage. We love having access to the kayaks and canoe. The dock and lake views are the best!

Had a wonderful time at Cindy’s cottage. Place was so clean and views from the cottage were amazing. Located close to many wineries and hiking trails. Cindy gave us excellent recommendations and advice on where to go and what to see. Can’t wait to come back and visit Lake Seneca again! 😁

Simply lovely. Everything you need except for food and drink. Location is perfect. Close to Geneva; go the opposite way to Watkins Glen. Continue around the lake and visit all the wineries and breweries. Beautiful views. Fine restaurants. Literally on the water. We did not take our dog this time, but will the next. Safe from the road, secluded. Thank you, Cindy. Your cottage is splendid.

Cynthia our host, was extremely friendly and informative about the property, the lake, nearby towns and events. She created a binder that contains everything and anything about the finger lakes area, food, entertainment, parks, waterfalls, etc... She appeared to be as excited about our stay in her property as we were to be there. The lot has a 100' dock for fishing, swimming and relaxing. Amazing sunsets every night! Kayaks, canoe and aluminum row boat at our disposal, with life jacket, anchors, paddles and oars. There are 2 decks, one attached to the cottage with table and chairs, perfect for lunch at the lake. Spend some time at "the cafe". An additional deck located not far from the cottage, in a shaded area, made me feel like I was relaxing in a rain forest. The cottage itself is small on the outside, but a "mansion" on the inside. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in, one word.. immaculate! It is so cute and everything was provided for us, linens, dishes, paper products, etc... The cottage and our host exceeded our expectations! Would definitely stay here again. A+ to this little slice of heaven on the Lake

We are repeat guests, and can not say enough about Cindy and her gorgeous lake home. Location is perfect, she’s got everything you need and it’s pet friendly! The Canadian wildfires and some wicked storms put a dent in our trip, however we will be back next year. You cannot find a better VRBO or host in the Finger Lakes!

This was our second time here! Everything was perfect, the place really has all you will need and Cindy is very responsive. The location to wineries, Watkins Glenn, and Geneva is great. It is also truly a pet friendly place— our cat loves looking out the windows and watching the water! Can’t wait to return next year!

The place is nice in a rustic sort of way. But a few things could be improved upon. Since dogs are allowed (but not children) the carpets are pretty dingy and a little bit smelly. My wife cleans house for a living and it seemed like nobody cleaned the handrail going up the stairs to the bedroom or the railing up at the top of the stairs they were kind of sticky which tells me that cleaning, while 'OK' those two items gave reason for pause. We cleaned them ourselves. The storm door will not latch on its own you have to turn the handle and pull it shut after you're done coming into the house with your stuff. Otherwise bugs will come in. I mean, the place is $275 a night. I think maybe these things could be addressed. There was a sheet that said that they had recently put in Roku in the house but try and try as we may we could not get local channels or live news even though it said ABC live news it was more of a streaming service and you never really knew what was going on currently. That could be improved as well. It's a great spot, easy access to ithaca, the dock is great. There's a bit of a fried chicken smell in the bedroom is the best I can explain it. It might just be the carpets needing to be cleaned by Stanley steemer or something like that I'm not sure. We like the place, but when you start paying almost $300 a night these things start to be head scratchers. The kitchen faucet is real squeaky and tight as well. It's like the cheapest faucet money can buy. Oh well

Cindy’s cottage is the place that we go to recharge. The absolutely beautiful view of the lake, coupled with the sounds of the water lapping at the shore, bring peace and contentment to the adults and provides a canine playground for our dog. We all love it there. It’s a toss up who loves it more - the dog or the humans. :)

This was my 2nd year staying here and I hope to stay again next year. Cindy thinks of everything to accommodate her guests and give them a warm welcome back. I loved seeing my pup in the book and can't wait until next year to see the pictures of the pups from this year's vacation as well. This is the place to go if you want to get some relaxation in. Watching the sunset over the lake is absolutely beautiful and unwinding by the fire for the night makes it even better!

This was one of my favorite weekend getaways. The cottage is literally on the water. It was very clean and very cozy. Cindy was a great host. She met us at the cottage, showed us around and even gave a little history on the cottage. She had everything ready for our arrival - wood for the fire pit, the grill was cleaned, recommendations for takeout, etc...Most of our time was spent outside on the dock or at the fire pit. The views are like none other. I would definitely recommend and hope to go back some day.

I hate doing this review because I don’t want other people to know about the house but to do justice to it it is extremely well situated. right on the lake and the weather this time was nice Huckleberry our dog just loves it so much he gets there, and he immediately runs out onto the dock he remembers it great location close to all the wineries and activities that we like to do in the Finger Lakes so much fun looking at the dog books that Cindy puts together. just can’t say enough about property. Thanks for allowing us to stay there with our dog not a lot of places do this, so everybody who stays there seems to understand this place is special and is respectful

We had the best time here! Cindy is the perfect host and full of any information you may need about the area.
We enjoyed being steps from the water, sitting out at the end of the private dock listening to music, reading & watching the gorgeous sunsets. We also had a fire one night with the lake as our backdrop. Our Bernese Mountain dog loved being able to walk right into the lake & running up and down the dock.
The house is a quick drive to Geneva where you can find plenty of good restaurants. We recommend the Rusty Pig for some great BBQ. It is also close to wineries/breweries. We spent some time at 3 Brothers Winery touring, sitting outside & listening to live music.
Mostly we enjoyed the privacy & peacefulness this home provides. If you are looking for a relaxing place to spend with your dog than this is your place. We will definitely be back!

We had one of the best vacations in our 45+ years together just being able to travel with our dog huckleberry and to stay in such a wonderfully beautiful setting makes this review not able to live up to how quiet and peaceful it is the place is you wake up right on top of the water we had fairly cold, windy weather the whole time, but it honestly didn’t seem to matter the views from inside the house are almost as beautiful as the views from outside Cindy was so gracious and everything you need to know about the house is inside in her book there is nothing left to chance from the dishes silverware appliances to the gas grill outside in the wonderful fire pit that we only got to use our last night because of the weather very convenient location to tour the wineries and cheese houses and the state park which you can walk to, but we would drive to the back way in just a great place to go for a hike or a walk I can see why people book year after year because you will not find a better place in the finger lakes or perhaps just about anywhere else so we look forward to also coming back next year

A wonderful little cottage! It felt like home. I wish we had more time to stay at the cottage but we were busy running around doing a whole wedding weekend for friends. The times we did get to sit on the dock and appreciate the beauty of the lake was precious. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. :)

Our first time here with our pups and it was fabulous! Cindy is amazing and always available for anything needed. Our boys loved the direct access to the lake, especially our 9yr old German Shepherd, whom doesn’t do well with steps. Everything was clean and comfortable. But the view, makes it so much sweeter. The sunsets are amazing and sitting on the dock was one of our favorites! We will surely be back again and again.

Terrific host with clear communication and friendly check-in. Her love of dogs is evident, and was very much appreciated. The cottage was just as described and had everything we needed. The pictures don't do it justice! My husband, two dogs and I stayed four nights while we competed in the dog show at Sampson State Park 10 minutes away. It was perfect to come "home", let the dogs swim in the lake, BBQ, and enjoy quiet private evenings in comfort. Thank you, Cindy, for thinking of everything dog lovers could want!

Cool place, well equipped, clean with a nice dock and fire pit. Furniture is all sturdy and clean. When you sleep in the upstairs bedroom, it feels like you’re on a cruise ship because all you can see out the window is the water, you can’t see the ground unless you put your face against the glass and look straight down. Of course you can crack the window any time and hear the water lapping onto the shore, or just enjoy the plethora of birds that make the Cayuga lake shore their home. The water is maybe 6 ft. deep at docks end with weeds on the bottom, But the water is crystal clear. Not bad for swimming/canoeing/fishing. Canoe kayak and rowboat are there for your enjoyment.

We had a wonderful vacation here. It’s a large, quiet beautiful piece property with a very comfortable cottage. No stairs to the cottage and water was an added plus. The amenities were perfect for our stay. Sunsets, beautiful skies, swimming, boating… couldn’t ask for any thing more! Thank you to our wonderful host, Cindy!

Third time is the charm!
This was our third visit to Cindy's lovely oasis on the lake! And we've already booked for next year. As all other reviewers say, Cindy's place is perfect, right on the lake with everything you could possibly need for a perfect week vacation on the lake. There are wineries nearby, 15 minutes to great dining options in Geneva, and plenty to do on Cindy's own dock with kayaks, canoes, fishing. Your possibilities are endless AND you get to bring your furry friends! I can't say enough about this property (which is why she's booked so far in advance). Don't hesitate or you'll miss out on the best vacation!

Perfect Place to Unwind
My husband and I stayed here after our wedding to relax and de-stress. The dock was amazing with great wildlife in the area to observe and enjoy. The property included kayaks and row boat that were perfect for nice days on the lake. The house was perfect for the two of us and our dog. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway
This place was amazing! It really had everything that you could possibly need and Cindy was kind and informative. The location was perfect too, close to several wineries and a short 20 minute drive to Geneva! It was also great that we could bring our cat with us and even he enjoyed the outside deck/patio area (and the stair railing to the bedroom). Our only problem was we wish we didn’t have to leave so soon!

Wonderful stay!
Cindy's home was very nice. We completely enjoyed staying here. Right next to waters edge and could even hear fish jumping in the water catching bugs at night. So great to see the water super close while still in bed. Hated to leave. Cindy was super nice. Would definitely stay again.

Paradise
This VRBO is a hidden gem. If you are looking for the perfect retreat with your pup this is the place for you. Cindy puts great thought into making this rental perfect for her guests and furbabies. I simply loved listening to the Alanis Morissette cd and detaching from the world listening to the waves crashing in. If you want more excitement many wineries, breweries, and distilleries are near by, in addition to many state parks. It was nice learning about Seneca Lake while staying there. I will book again in future.

The Most Dog Friendly Vacation Getaway
The host was incredible to us. The driveway is slightly hidden so she waited for us to arrive at the street so we could know where to turn in. She gave us a brief but excellent tour of the house and property. She had a great answer to every question we had ranging from best places to get food/drink, to water activities. The house was incredibly clean, you could not tell that she specializes in having people with dogs (even big dogs like ours) into her house. I cannot stress enough just how clean this house was. This was an awesome week away for us, and I couldn't recommend it high enough for others. I'm not sure when we will be back, but we will be back!

This cottage was the perfect getaway. Right on the lake with plenty of lake front, yet private. Views of the lake while eating or having coffee and from bed! Cindy was so friendly and accommodating. Beautiful countryside. I would heartily recommend!
