It was very nicely decorated, clean and warm with very good kitchen appliances. The bed and duvet were super comfortable.

The property was advertised having wifi and underground parking, but these were not available. When asked can we pay extra for wifi, the lady said, that they simply do not have wifi. When asked why we are not allowed to use the underground car park, we were told that our car is too large, but we just have an ordinary 5 door estate about size of Ford Focus. Neither of the staff we met could speak any English at all. It was nearly impossible to communicate with them and we did not receive any clear instructions on the house rules. At check out time, we were asked to place all dishes from dishwasher to the cupboard and take the rubbish bag out to the communal collection point outside.

NO WIFI !! in this day and age?? the kettle is dangerous - it doesn’t turn off and keeps boiling . no corkscrew…. in France ??! the “sea views” are blocked by unattractive buildings

Location was good, Wimereux is a lovely little town with excellent restaurants.

The process of getting the keys to the apartment was awful. When we rang the number we were given to collect the keys, the woman said she didn’t speak English and she didn’t know what apartment I was talking about. When we did manage to get in, we arranged to meet the lady at 9 o clock on the day of our departure, as we had to make our Eurotunnel booking. She did not turn up till 9:20, which was only as a result of us calling her to remind her. Unfortunately we could not just leave as we had to given 200 Euro to her at the beginning of our stay to cover any cost of damage to the apartment. As a result, we had to wait to get this back and almost missed our train.

It was clean.

The place is cheaply done with no consideration or attention for the needs of those who rent it: no hangers, no chairs to put anything on, no hooks for towels or clothes, no extra plug near the bed, no internet and a narrow parking space squeezed between 2 concrete pillars requiring real mastery.
