Hale On'tario a été récemment rafraîchi avec un nouveau tapis. Our group of 6 adults and 1 infant very much enjoyed our stay at Hale Ontario. The house is located on a golf course with wonderful views of the ocean. Each night we walked the very short distance to watch the unset and we weren't alone as this seems to be an event everyone comes out for. There are paved trails to walk or run-on if you enjoy the early morning cool before it gets to warm. The house was roomy, clean and comfortable. We had an issue with the Wifi, but it was fixed immediately upon our report of it. There were plenty of beach towels and 3 beach chairs that we used every day we went to the beach. Also some snorkeling gear, coolers and beach toys. We would definitely stay here again and are so glad we made the choice of Hale Ontario. Thank you for making it available!

I loved the view from the home and the snacks they had put out with accent lights turned on and waiting for our arrival. I loved the well stocked kitchen. Pots, pans, cups, utensils, paper towels, garbage bags. I loved the beach towels, laundry access, and and the very homey feel this house has. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place.

Hale On'tario is a beautiful home ideally situated on the Makai golf course. The home has literally everything you could need including an exceptionally well-stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and beautiful living room with a view of the mountains and ocean. The deck is lovely for sitting and watching the nesting albatross and a plethora of colorful birds that drop in. The owners have thought of everything and we loved every minute of our stay. The property management was very helpful and responded promptly to any questions. You have the beach down the road which is about a 15-minute walk and the lovely town of Hanalei is only a 10-minute drive. Highly recommend this lovely property!

What is beautiful view of the ocean and mountains! The home was very clean with comfortable bedding, linens and housewares including basic supplies. All we needed was to buy Kleenex along with our chosen food and beverages. The one glitch is that the upstairs loft bedroom is sweltering hot even with the AC on full blast. Just re-locating the unit on the adjacent wall higher up may solve the issue or replacing this older unit altogether. One minor inconvenience is that the Wi-Fi signal goes in and out on occasion. Finally, there was construction noise directly next-door with a condo renovation which was not conveyed at all. The construction at the house on the other side did not disturb us. Overall we enjoyed our stay complete.

There is nothing to hate about this house. Absolutely beautiful and clean house. Lots of space for 8 guests. I love it because everything was there for my family and i didn't have to buy any additional supplies except food.

Spectacular views, comfort and location
Just a perfect location on the north shore for our stay. The house is very thoughtfully appointed and easy to find things/make things work. comfortable beds too! We loved all the different ways to manage temperature in the house - letting in more or less sun / more or less outside air and turning on AC if necessary. The Albatrosses were a highlight for us! We got to see a baby Albatross on the next just between the house and the 7th hole tee, by the mangroves. That is a once in a lifetime experience. We'd recommend Hale On'tario to anyone.

Das Haus liegt ideal und war sauber und schön eingerichtet. Es hat in der Küche die Basisausstattung. Was mir fehlte, war die Basis an Lebensmittel wie Öl, Gewürze. Aber sonst war es perfekt und es gab auch ein Willkommensgeschenk, was ich sehr sympathisch fand.

Amazing view and week here!
Overall we loved being here. The view is awesome and walked to the end of the 6th hole for yoga two mornings and sunset two nights. House had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Only negative is the construction next door during the day and partial blocking of view and the loft gets warm. We walked to Queen’s Bath a few houses away and did a lot on the north side. Just have to manage the Hanalei road closure times during the weekdays. The resource guide they have is amazing yet slightly outdated with Covid closures. All in all an amazing place to stay.

And probably took a ton of work! We all loved this house so much. Close to Anini beach - perfect for kids and we got to see a sea turtle go from the beach to swimming back into the ocean! We’d stay here again in a heart beat. We were sad to leave.

Lovely vacation in paradise
Our group of three couples had a wonderful week at Hale On’tario, although one couple had to stay in the double bed upstairs in the partially open-walled loft that would be great for kids. The constantly changing views of the sky, mountains, and ocean were beautiful, and rainbows were abundant. Grocery shopping was very convenient in the Princeville market Foodland just 2 miles away, and the kitchen was well equipped and thoughtfully appointed. The house owners had prepared a comprehensive binder of local attractions and activities. We appreciated the beautiful turquoise Le Creuset accent pieces including a teapot! Some of the chairs could use some updating but the location is great, and it’s a nice walk to the beach. The Vacasa staff were highly responsive and helpful to resolve a few small issues, We are happy to recommend this place. Thank you!

Great vacation
Great location. Food land is right around the corner and Hanalei Bay is a quick drive. Queen’s Bath is a short walk.
House was perfect. The views from the family room and patio are as good as it gets. Everything advertised was there. Furniture was very comfortable. Neighborhood was nice and quiet.

Perfect Place!
My family had an excellent trip! This home is spacious, comfortable and beautiful!! Walking distance to queens bath, hideaways and pizza! The home has everything you need- coffeemaker, grinder, washer, dryer and beach umbrella, beach chairs and boogie boards. The management team was excellent. We had a small issue the first part of our trip and they got back to me in 5 minutes with a response and it was resolved in 2 hours (this was on a Sunday). Excellent customer service!! Thank you for sharing your home for our family vacation!!

Great Location
Everything was great about this home accept for AC, however I understand that it was unusually hot during our stay. Location on golf course is great with nice views of the ocean and mountains. Owners reference book for things to do on the island was very helpful. Kitchen was well equipped. Bikes and beach umbrellas were available for use. Owners did a nice job of making the stay as nice as possible.
Again, the only drawback and the reason for not providing a four star rating was the AC,
but property managers were quick to provide additional fans to keep it cool.

Lovely Home on Golf Course
The home is lovely, cozy and comfortable. Being that it is on the golf course - with lovely ocean views - it was quite noisy with all the lawn care. Golf courses and gardens require upkeep and most days it began shortly after 6 in the morning and lasted for hours. I wore noise cancelling headphones at times. The nearest beach is a 15 minute drive. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality appliances but a can opener and measuring cups would have been nice.
I was surprised that there was no book with explanations about the house or how to work the TV and sound system - which are very nice - but I found it on the shelf when I was packing up.
Good supply of beach chairs, towels, coolers and toys.

Our family spent a week here and we all loved it! The house is well maintained, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. The furniture is updated and comfortable, and the entertainment system is great. We spent a week here with four adults and two children and had plenty of space for all. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect house!!!
We absolutely loved our stay in Hale On’tario such a beautiful,clean well maintained house. The large windows in the living room are so awesome to see the sunset in the evening. The two bedrooms downstairs are very spacious with both having bathrooms and the king beds are very very comfy. The upstairs room is perfect for kids. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. I would definitely come back.

First time ever to Hawaii! This house is absolutely awesome love that there are bathrooms in each bedroom. The travertine tile is beautiful the kitchen is awesome love the large windows in the living room area upstairs is perfect for kids. The house is overall very functional. A crazy storm came while we were there with really really high winds and the house feels very tight. We would definitely stay here again no complaints at all. Princeville is a beautiful place to stay.

Incredible views and location!
This house really is beautiful, it has an incredible location (you can walk to the incredible overlook of the Na Pali coast, and overlook Queen's bath), the ocean, and the Makai golf course. It is located up the road from Queen's Bath (a formidable trek in itself!) The house has beautiful tile work with travertine tile in family room and kitchen, a great stocked beautiful kitchen for cooking, huge windows, 2 lovely dining rooms, a beautiful patio in the back, a grill in garage to wheel out into the driveway, a gorgeous lot with long driveway recessed from road, lots of thoughtful extras for your beach days, and lovely furniture, great for entertaining. The neighborhood is Princeville quiet and lovely. Three bedrooms are nicely decorated, each with its own beautiful bathroom. There are TVs in all bedrooms, if you want to watch TV. Keep in mind this house was destroyed twice and rebuilt twice (once in hurricane Iwa, the second time in hurricane Iniki), as it is in the path of hurricanes, since it is a stone's throw from the northern cliffs of Princeville with nothing to shelter it from storms or wind. Furniture is just beautiful, and well-arranged for entertaining. There is an issue, though with a heavily soiled stairway carpet and upstairs carpet which was surprising, given the cost of this home. Also, the house does not have central air conditioning, and the room air conditioners worked marginally at best (one downstairs bedroom has no room air conditioner), making this house hot, hot, hot (given the high humidity and almost daily rains on Kauai), and uncomfortable in late afternoons into early evening. Only 1 (downstairs) bedroom was cool at night; the others very hot. We needed any fan we could find to circulate the air towards the floor to make the house somewhat livable temperature-wise for sleeping (the ceiling fans circulated the hot rising air and made it hotter inside, so we shut those off in lower level of house). Aside from those 2 issues, this house was lovely to use as a rental for a vacation. Although the AC issue would be difficult to remedy, (also given the extremely high cost of electricity on Kauai!), I would love to see the carpet in the stairwell and upper level disappear, it would fix one of the 2 issues. Without those 2 issues, this rental would normally be a 5 star rating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nt stay at Hale On'tario house. It was comfortable and roomy and located in the lovely Princeville neighborhood along the 6th fairway with wonderful views. There are 2 ground floor ensuite king bedrooms plus a spacious ensuite loft bedroom that could sleep 4-5 children. (Be aware that the sound from people walking heavily in the loft does travel down into the master bedroom). It's a superior location for all your North Shore activities and sightseeing (although some of the trails, beaches and roads were still closed due to the devastating floods of April). The popular and challenging trail down to Queen's Bath is just 2 minutes down the street. Use caution because after recent rains it becomes a muddy, slippery slope! It's also about a 2 hr drive to Waimea Canyon where we did the recommended Cliff Trail hike. For golfers, Princeville Makai is a must, but we also really enjoyed Puahea Golf Course down near Lihue Airport. At $65, it's a real bargain. We spent most evenings in the cute nearby town of Hanalei and enjoyed The Hanalei Gourmet; Kalypso and Bar Acuda. With everything lush and green, this is the Hawaii we all picture in our minds!

The house also had everything we needed for a great day at the beach (beach chairs, mats, umbrellas, boogie boards, beach towels). Great location with a lot of walking/running paths. Would highly recommend this place for others.

The Hale Ontario house was perfect for me and my family! I brought my family of 4, my parents, and my best friend so the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was just what we needed to have our own space to rest and/or get cleaned up to go out. The lanai and indoor dining area provided comfy areas to eat together. The open concept kitchen and living room made it easy to spend time together when cooking. The clear view of the mountains and ocean was breathtaking to wake up to everyday. The house was stocked with all the amenities we needed and more! We especially enjoyed the fresh flower arrangement and the scented soaps. We would definitely stay at the Hale Ontario again and highly recommend it to others who are looking for a relaxing retreat in Kauai.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home: it exudes relaxation and a wonderful family feeling. Loved the location as it is very private and not right on the street, with views that are postcard perfect...many evenings were spent sipping wine and watching the glorious sunsets. The design and furnishings are beautiful but not stuffy, perfect for the North Shore. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with excellent cookware and spices…with this fabulous home you might not want to eat out! The beds were super comfortable and the owners have thought of everything you might need for a beach vacation…beach towels, Tommy Bahama chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, beach toys, BBQ…and two bikes with locks. (Dad would drop us at the beginning of the trails for Hideaways and Sea Lodge and bike back…) Another lovely aspect of our stay was the local management company the owners chose. Bali Hai greeted us with a lovely note and flower arrangement and called to check on us. When we had a little problem with water, they were right on it. (Christine and her colleagues from Bali Hai Realty were amazing….) We plan to return…mahalo nui loa!

We enjoyed or stay in this beautiful home. The view is beautiful and the home is well appointed. The loft was perfect for the boys, they had their own space and bathroom. We loved sitting out on the porch next to the golf green and walking along the course to the ocean cliff and it's spectacular view. As other reviews have mentioned, the front bedroom does it have air conditioning and can be hot - opening the window and running the ceiling fan helps some. The I rmaker was t working so we went with little ice until we located some ice trays late in our stay. I would encourage you to ask the realty company to fill the trays in the event this has not been fixed. We would stay there again and highly recommend this vacation rental.
