We had a wonderful weekend away staying at Michelle’s house at wreck beach. A lovely short walk to both wreck beach and shoal bay beach / shops. The house is in a lovely spot next to a park which makes for a nice outlook from the living room and verandah. Great communication from Michelle. Would recommend this house for families or a group of friends.

Lovely property for our family week away in Nelson bay. Short walking distance to shops and dining options as well as some beautiful beaches. Kids loved movie night downstairs so we could stay in the leaving room upstairs. Michelle was very helpful providing local information. Love the shower outside!

Another great summer holiday! This was our second stay at Wreck Beach House. Loved the outdoor shower, relaxing park view and the downstairs area was great for the teenagers!

As soon as we discovered this listing, we knew it was where we wanted to stay. The communication from Michelle was fantastic. She provided all the required information and more! The house is configured as 2 separate units, and we only stayed in the upstairs unit. The main kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, you name it. There is also plenty of coffee, oils, herbs and spices, as well as other condiments available. Then there is also decent internet (the 4g mobile in the area on the other hand we found to be pretty poor), along with Netflix and other streaming services. Situated next to a nice quiet, well shaded park provided excellent outdoors escape for our 5 year old. Especially given it was over 30C every day we were there. We had no issue with the 2 BBQs but did fumble a bit with the gas hotplate in the main kitchen. The driveway would easily fit 3 smaller cars. Larger cars are a bit of a tight fit getting down close to the house. Although town is probably only a 15minute walk, we didn't do the trek due to the heat. However, being a long weekend parking was difficult, and probably took longer to find a park than it would have been walking there. Would happily stay here again, and it would be perfect for 2 families.

What a great location of this house overlooking parkland and walking distance to Shoal Bay. Very clean and well stocked house and great layout - adult children being able to have the downstairs area. Accommodation had everything we needed. Clean, bright and comfortable. Just the accommodation for our getaway.

Easy stay for group of adults. Plenty of cutlery and crockery. Comfy living spaces. Clean and bright.

Excellent place to stay, with everything you could need. Felt so fresh and new. Sitting on the balcony looking at the birds in the park was v relaxing. Outdoor staircase between the 2 levels might not be for everyone but we were fine with it.

The cottage is just lovely, facing onto the park and beautifully presented. Totally comfortable and perfect for our group of 7 adults. Kitchens and bathrooms. Heating great as we were there in June long weekend, bedding all perfect. Supplies for immediate occupation provided in pantry and also in bathrooms. Very close to drive or walk to beach in 7 minutes. We loved it and will be back. Thanks Michelle, fond regards from Susanne Y and family.

Everything about this home is holiday perfection. Michelle couldn’t have done more to make sure we had the most wonderful time in Shoal Bay. It really felt like home away from home. We’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely loved the wreck house. We had a friend’s birthday as a weekend away, and the house was fantastic. So beautifully appointed. A great deck, and BBQ’s. Had a great time!

We had a great two week stay, the house was even better than expected with two new bathrooms and a gorgeous outdoor shower. A perfect house for two families, with a separate area downstairs including a large TV, lounge, kitchenette & laundry. The location is excellent, allowing an easy walk to Shoal Bay and nearby Wreck & Box beaches. The park was a hit with the kids, and we enjoyed mornings/afternoons on the deck watching the birds and relaxing. It's stylish yet homely with indoor plants and well equipped with supplies (another unexpected surprise). thanks Michelle & Sam!

House is in a great spot, only minutes from beaches and amenities. Our group of 5 adults were impressed with the well-stocked pantry basics and generous attention to bathroom items. Very thoughtful touches. Silent aircon made the house a welcome retreat from the very humid weather. Michelle was also very responsive and helpful with queries. We hope to return!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Teenagers entertained themselves in the lower level while we enjoyed the tranquility of the park on the veranda. Easy walk to Shoal and Fingal Bays. Truly relaxed and enjoyed the sites and activities offered in Port Stephens. Looking forward to coming back.

The house has a wonderful position next to a park, it is recently renovated with modern bathrooms. The kitchen is very well stocked, a pleasant surprise when compared to many holiday homes.

Although not on the waterfront, it was central to some great beaches and attractions. The house will easily accommodate all your needs and is user friendly.

Lads and Dads weekend. Great house with 2 self contained levels. Well equipped. Plenty to do. Shoal Bay is a stunning place with beaches for all to enjoy.

The house is fabulous and in a very easy location for fabulous beaches, great walks and good food. It is very easy to relax and unwind here, sit and watch the park, walk a short way to a beach, or just sit and play cards.

What a delightful house to holiday in! Having two separate living arrangements suited our extended family perfectly. The top living area has views over the next door park and tree shaded area. Within walking distance to the beach and cafes and in a quiet location.

We had a wonderful week away at this beach hideaway. The house was very stylishly presented and great positioning right on a park which was great for the kids. Short walk to town and a nice (but steep) bush walk to the closest surf beaches (wear sneakers). The sound system was great to have music playing when home, and a great selection of games for the family to play. Very clear and efficient communication with Michelle. We only used the upstairs of the house which had a queen room and a bunk room which the kids loved. Very easy to have another family stay in the 3 bedrooms downstairs with own bathroom and kitchen. Loved this place!

Beautiful 2 story house in a park setting & 7 mins walk from nearest beach. Included everything you could need for a memorable holiday. A short drive to all of Nelson Bays attractions.

We had a very pleasant stay at Wreck Beach House although only occupying the top floor as there was only the two of us. The house is very comfortable and well located.

We had a great time at Shoal Bay. The beaches are beautiful and the house is close to at least 3 beaches. House is nicely decorated and well equipped. We will go back in summer. Michelle was a very good host, helped us even when we lost a set of keys! Cheers, Christopher

We really enjoyed our stay in Shoal Bay. The house was comfortable and in a great peaceful spot by a large park. It was lovely watching the lorikeets and kookaburras from the balcony. It was a nice walk down a bush track to Wreck Beach, and a bit of a longer walk to Shoal Bay itself. The furniture and the house itself has been updated and is actually even better than the pictures online. The upstairs area is lovely with the comfiest couches while downstairs is a little older and not as roomy. Unfortunately when we arrived the cleaners were running late and our check in was delayed, but that was the only small hiccup we had. Overall we’d definitely recommend the house.
