Kula Villa is a property I will not soon forget. This location has beautiful views from the backyard with plenty of outdoor seating for relaxing and enjoyment of the incredible peace of this island. The house is well maintained with a property manager who is kind and always available for questions or guidance regarding the house and area. The bed is very comfortable with nice linens and plenty of drawer space for personal items. The kitchen is well equipped with necessary tools, pans, etc. Overall a rental I heartily recommend and will look forward to visiting again soon!!

Nice villa, however, the clothes dryer was not working and there was a mouse and mice droppings on the duvet cover and kitchen counters.
The property manager did catch the mouse but the clothes dryer issue wasn’t resolved due to wrong size dryer purchased.

We had an amazing stay and really appreciated the communication to ensure we were comfortable. I was on a bit of a working trip and we spent most of our time enjoying the north shore and upcountry. This property is private and the views are mesmerizing. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Our stay at the Kula Villa was amazing. It was our first time in the upcountry and it did not disappoint. There is so much to see and do in the upcountry and you are only 30 minutes from the Kihei and Wailea areas. The Kula Villa is a beautiful home with the best views of the valley and both bays. Debra was an A+ host. I recommend the Kula Villa to anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas.

We wanted to stay somewhere special for our 30th anniversary, and this was it! You will not find a property like this anywhere else on the island. The villa feels like a resort with the private outdoor spaces and views that go on forever. Very clean and well-appointed. Thank you Debra !

This is our new favorite property that we have stayed at. We were blown away from the moment we went through the gates and onto the driveway up to the beautiful accommodations. A feast for the senses in every way. From the magnificent 360 degree view of the mountains , countryside, animals and the ocean to the interior and exterior décor. Very comfortable bed. Plenty of storage for clothing and belongings. Interior temperature was very comfortable for us with cooler mornings sitting out on the patio with cozy blankets provided. A villa with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We have rented many homes in many different places and this by far overall met and exceeded all of our expectations. This amazing spot and home provided us much peace and tranquility. This home will hold a special place in our hearts and minds until we return.

My husband and I stayed here for 7 full days for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The villa alone was beautiful and cozy, but the 360 degree views were breathtaking. We had never seen stars so bright at night as we did here. In order to see and do the things in Maui that we wanted to do, we did have to do quite a bit of driving but we knew that when we booked this place and for us, it was worth it to be here where it’s quiet and private vs on the beaches where you’re surrounded by people and busyness. Debra was very nice, approachable, and responsive. She met us when we first arrived and asked if we had any questions or needed anything. After that, she left us alone but we had her number in case we needed to reach her. We would give this place 5 stars over and over again. Highly recommend if you don’t mind doing a little driving in order to explore Maui.

Magical, special home on a beautiful property. Even better than the photos. Quiet, serene, exactly what you want if you’re looking for an escape from the hustle of the beach vibe. Debra was so great and responsive. I’ll be back here as often as I can.

We've stayed at places all over the world and this one is by far our favorite! We loved the views, sunset, Steel the horse, the deer, geckos, birds, and all the things. Not to be missed!

My husband and I stayed at Kula Villa just shy of 2 weeks. This home and land are blessed, filled with potent high spiritual energy that heals, soothes, and invigorates. If you are looking for a serene, peaceful, and natural setting with gorgeous views, weather, and convenience then Kula Villa is your place.
The land is mostly agricultural and you'll be surrounded by horses, goats, singing birds, warm sunshine, and beauty everywhere. The host is available whenever you need her. The home has everything you need.
Our stay was so much more than we expected. Thank you Debra for finding this land, building such a beautiful home, and cultivating such an inviting energy for guests to immerse themselves in the Aloha spirit.

We loved our stay at the Kula Villa! It was one of the most memorable stays we’ve had. The location is wonderful - surrounded by farm land and gorgeous views! We loved the nearby goats and horses. Stunning View and Home
Stunning is the only way to describe the view, located at the 3000 ft level centrally on Haleakala, the West Maui mountains and north and south coasts are a gorgeous scene. The villa itself has a great floor plan, very custom features, nicely decorated, and many amenities. Landscaping well kept and very comfortable outside with two lanai’s, it’s literally an oasis in a desert microclimate. Owner very nice and amenable to any requests. There is active, small-scale goat and horse ranching, just let the owner know ahead how proximate you want them, as the super friendly horse will make itself at home. We wanted an upcountry vacation; this is a really relaxing alternative to the beach. Thompson road is great walk, Kula Manu Market and Makawao town fun diversions. Make restaurant reservations far in advance until Maui drops their persistent pandemic restrictions.

Wow, after being to different islands for 12 days before hand and coming to this amazing gem! This is the perfect place, it has everything you need and more, The views have a 360° feel where you can't stop looking at the ocean and at the sunset and volcano and etc. totally mesmerizing! Already can't wait to get back to this amazing home,!

5-star hidden gem
This place was breathtaking. A hidden gem in upcountry Maui, away from all of the heavily congested tourist areas. Situated on 30 + acres with spectacular panoramic ocean and city views. The architecture of the house is stunning. Such a beautiful design. We truly felt like we were staying in a 5-star secluded bungalow. So clean! The bed and linens were so comfortable. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had all we needed to cook gourmet meals. The owner even left us an espresso maker. Waking up every morning to fresh espresso in this luxury home was like heaven. Words can’t even describe this gem. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Amazing house, great location
This is a special place. The materials, the design, the views are all extraordinary. Best suited for couples, it's a place to chill with horses and goats nearby, a pheasant who visits regularly, another pheasant seen occasionally along with other birds and unfortunately at least one relentless rooster. But why would you come to Maui to sleep late? There's not much within walking distance but plenty of restaurants and things to see and do a short or longer drive away. Highly recommended as an alternative to the congested beach towns and resorts.

Peace in Paradise
Our family travels to Maui every year and we always stay on the West side in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We also started this trip out there, but wanted to end it with a relaxing stay in the Upcountry. The Kula Villa was surprisingly available for us to rent. The location was superb being centrally located to so many other “must see” locations on the island and the accommodations were luxurious. The master bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up each day. Our tweens had so much fun exploring the property and encountered multiple kinds of animals like the neighbor’s goats, herds of wild deer, colorful birds, and their favorite, the owner’s horse, Steel. Each day we witnessed various panoramic views of the ocean, mountains, valley, sunsets, city lights, and even rain clouds with rays of sun shining down. The entire stay was incredibly peaceful and the owners were very accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again and wish we would have found Kula sooner.

Wonderful stay in Kula
Spectacular views from a really well appointed and designed house. It was very spacious and private, and our 2 year old enjoyed the garden area and saying hi to the horses. It's about 20 mins drive to Baldwin beach, and less than 10 mins from grocery stores.
We would very happily come stay again.

Our Stay at Kula Villa
My wife and I were looking for a Maui vacation rental in the upcountry with expansive views, luxurious finishes and privacy. This beautiful home exceeded our expectations. It’s situated on 30 acres and the property is gated.
From the patio we enjoyed the picturesque views of the entire valley, north and south shore and west Maui Mountains. The sunsets were astonishing!
The home is upgraded with a gas range, chef’s kitchen, modern furniture, bamboo floors and beautiful windows and sliding glass doors throughout.
Before bed we would venture out on a walk around the property and stargaze.
Due to the land size, this property offers seclusion. However, restaurants and a market are within a mile.
Debra P. was available whenever we had questions and it’s also worth mentioning that the linens were very nice and beds were very comfortable.
This is a special place and we will be returning next summer if not before.

Choose Kula over Lahaina!
If you enjoy quiet times away form the crowd, Kula Villa is the place to stay! It it beautiful, comfortable, and you will enjoy the best view in all of Maui. The villa is nicer than depicted on the pictures, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable linens, a beautiful lanai, lots of storage for your luggage and a great host. The fridge was filled with basic condiments, which made cooking easier, along with the A-class barbeque. Last time we were in Maui, we stayed in Lahaina, but found Kula more enjoyable and more relaxing. One small caveat: be prepared to live with geckos (and their droppings), as there are plenty of them.

Truly magical views, home and stay!
Staying Upcountry with our family was the perfect choice for us at this beautiful Villa. It was quiet, peaceful, clean & the unbelievable views were just spectacular. We loved sitting out on the covered lanai's over looking the West Maui Mountains and the ocean while we planned our day. Behind us we had beautiful views of the sun rising over Haleakala. We stayed with our family x3 boys and they truly enjoyed the outdoor shower and our youngest even got to feed their sweet horse daily if he wanted too! We are already looking forward to going back and staying here again. This place is truly a gem.

Beautiful Home & Views, Peaceful & Relaxing Setting
This is a beautiful, clean, comfortable home with amazing views! By far our favorite activity was relaxing on the patio each morning with our coffee, studying the island views...the clouds and ocean, the birds, and beautiful well-manicured yard. It was a great retreat each day from beaches and sight-seeing (there is a lot to do within a 30-40 minute drive). The kitchen is well-equipped and we used the grill outside to cook dinner - again, enjoying our time outside, away from the crowds. We look forward to staying again!

The villa was amazing and very well equipped. The views were stunning. We have been to Maui many times before but never stayed in the Upcountry until now.
We split our visit with a villa near the ocean and this one. It was the best of both the island has to offer.
We will definitely be back to Kula Villa.
