Absolutely nothing

Pia's Apartment is nicely located in a very quiet area of Gotenburg, good neighborhood with typical Swedish houses. The tram stop "Ekmanska" (# 5 tram) for the city is in short walking distance; likewise groceries or supermarkets. This accommodations is for the summer season an ideal location. The communication with Pia (even not present) was effective and very responsive (good advice for restaurants and practical issues).

It is really an apartment as everything is in a single room (bed, kitchen, dining table). Even during hot summer days it was relatively chilly because the apartment is located in the basement. Thus, the windows have only one third of the usual window size. It might be challenging to get it cosy and warm during the colder winter season. There is only little room to store luggage. It must be noted that the bath room is very tiny and due to the specific conditions quite humid. We dried our towels outside in the sun - inside only little chance to get them dry. If you don't prepare a 'TV dinner' in the microwave you must go for one of the numerous restaurants in the city; there are no eateries in the vicinity.

Great communication. Good location. Space fine. Good to have option to cook, even though I didn't this time. Overall a good stay despite a few drawbacks

Bedding poor quality - thin duvets, cheap, lumpy pillows - made for a less than really comfortable sleep. Seems a shame as care has been paid in relation to other aspects - but the quality of the bed/sleep is fundamental. I also didn't like the strong artificial scent of room perfumer, which I had to remove and air the room for some time before sleeping was possible. Finally there is a really bright light shining in from the next door building, with no real way of screening it out effectively. Again, not that conducive to good sleep. A thick curtain or blind over the door glass would make a big difference. These things aside, it was a clean place in a good location and thoughtful hosts who communicated well. A few easy tweaks would make it really recommendable.
