We really enjoyed our stay! The house is perfect location walking every where in oak bluffs. House was very clean and updated. Had all the amenities we needed. We loved relaxing on the porch and really loved staying at this property. We’d love to rent again!

The cottage had everything that you would need. It was very comfortable and very well equipped. The location was excellent for walking into town.

This house is an absolute gem! Located just steps from town and a close walk to the beach. The house has it all- great screened in porch, the most comfortable hammock, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of rainy day games- the list doesn’t end. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again!

The property was amazing. Close to town but still quite and relaxing. The kitchen was impressive with all needed items included. The best part was the rocking chairs and hammock on the front porch. It was a great relaxing spot to read.

This year we decided to change things up for a weekend in October and a home rental. Let me tell you, we should have done this year's ago and the Down's home was the perfect home in which to do so! The kitchen is great with the island and breakfast bar and I wish we had more time to spend on the 3 season porch, is a great space bonus! The bedrooms were comfy and there were lots of hangers, it might sound like a small thing but having plenty of hangers is key! The master has a great full bath and the main bath has a nice big mirror making it easy for two to get ready at the same time! We hope to come back next year and as soon as we know which weekend we hope to book! Thank you for sharing your home and making our extended weekend an amazing one!

The home has a wonderful open living space and great outdoor areas also. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktail or just letting the time go by. The screened porch made an ideal spot for meals and was great to just sit, read or do a puzzle. The kitchen is well equipped, double ovens and microwave. The location of the home makes it easy to walk to town or the beach. Many wonderful restaurants nearby to enjoy. Morning walks up and around the beach with my dogs was a great way to start each day to check out the beautiful sunrise over Inkwell beach

Everything about our stay was wonderful from start to finish. Mary's home is beautiful and has everything you need for a fun and relaxing trip. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are comfy, and the entire home has great lighting. Our favorite thing was the screened-in-porch where we enjoyed many delicious meals. The location was perfect-close to everything but in a nice quiet spot. Mary was always very responsive to any question that we had. We hope to stay there again!

Great place to stay! The beds were comfortable, the gourmet kitchen fully equipped—every corner of this house was cozy and charming. Whenever I had questions, the owner graciously and promptly answered them. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at the Downs' Family Home. The home was perfect in every way - beautiful home with all amenities with an ideal location for walking or short drive. This home is just ideal.

This cottage was amazing! The renovations made to the home were top notch. The main floor is open and roomy, and the bathrooms and kitchen were remodeled with high end finishes. Beds were all comfy, and you can't beat the proximity to shops and restaurants = all within walking distance. We would stay here again in a heart beat.

I stayed here with my wife and our toddler and we had a great time. We walked to the beach every day and drove around when we needed to. In the morning we walked into town to get coffee an st night we walked to get ice cream. The house itself was great as well. It was well stocked with cooking supplies, beach accessories, etc. I would love to stay here again.

We had the pleasure to stay at this lovely property. It was centrally located to Oak Bluffs and the Inkwell Beach, but during COVID, the property was perfect with ample outdoor space, a grill, and a screened in porch. The open kitchen layout is perfect for entertaining while cooking. We had four people on the property and there was ample living and dining space for more. We would love to stay here again!

Our experience was great for our stay in Oak Bluffs. The renovations are really well done and the house was stocked incredibly well. Despite the restrictions in town given the ongoing pandemic, we were really able to enjoy our stay thanks to this rental.

We loved our stay on Martha’s Vineyard! Mary’s home is even more beautiful in person. We loved spending time on the front porch or making home cooked meals in the newly upgraded kitchen and then eating them in the screened in dining deck. We have two young children and the home was walkable to many sites like the beach, pier for fishing, and downtown for ice cream and people watching. We brought our car but you don’t have to. Well stocked game closet kept the kids busy when we were not outdoors! Mary was also very responsive to any questions we had. Would love to stay there again!

We totally loved renting this vacation cottage. It has a great location to everything you would like to do in oak bluffs No car is necessary when staying in this location. The home has recently been updated, the kitchen is awesome. I absolutely loved sitting on the front porch. I will definitely rent this home again . We did tour the whole island and Oak Bluffs is definitely my favorite community on Martha’s Vineyard. If you don’t want to get involved in the summer crowd at Martha’s Vineyard the fall is the perfect time to visit.

Beautiful, recently renovated property with two modern full baths and one modern half bath. Property is charming and functional with a relaxing front porch and charming screened in porch dining area. Minutes from beach and Main Commercial Street but quiet and peaceful. We were a group of 6 adults and were perfectly comfortable. Host was responsive and helpful. Will definitely go back.

It was truly a pleasure renting this property. Mary, the owner, is extremely prompt in responding to any question or concern. This property is conveniently located to town, beach, ferry and all points of adventure. The renovation is of very high quality yet inviting and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate a second to call this property home for vacation. My only complaint...stay was too short!

We loved this home! We have been going to the Vineyard for the past 5 years, and this house was the most convenient and charming of all! We loved being steps off of Circuit Avenue, and the house is warm and comfortable. There's plenty of space for a family and the house is well taken care of by the owners. The beach is only a short walk away and the house has beach chairs and coolers for convenience. The best part is sitting on the beautiful porch and relaxing with family!

We had a lovely time at this house. We have stayed on island in Oak Bluffs before and were pleased with this location and all that the house has to offer. It is a great bonus that things like beach chairs and coolers were available for usage. Mary Alane was very responsive and easy to work with. The air conditioning was a great bonus especially on 80 degree day with a 2 month old. We will be back!

This vacation home made me feel at home! The description was accurate and the photos are current. The house was clean and well kept, the owner takes pride by keeping the facilities updated. I enjoyed sleeping next to the window in the single bed middle room and with the window open I heard the sounds and smells of the harbor and the restautants. The town center, or the circuit, was next-door and I enjoyed grabbing a morning coffee with a walk around the harbor followed by hours of porch sitting in the large wrap around porch with a hammock. For meals I had many options to grocery shop, eat in the large variety of restaurants, or grab carryout from the dive bar. The circuit includes a variety of shopping and the famous flying horses carousel. I never needed a car. The ferry is a quick 5 minute walk through the beautiful park, food and shopping is a block away, and the beautiful houses of the camp ground are directly across the street. I felt at home and will certainly return and spend much more time porch sitting and experiencing island life. The owner was kind and responded quickly. She is well experienced as a property owner as helpful hints regarding trash pickup and amenity controls were well posted and up to date. I can't wait to come back.
