There was no elevator but it was good exercise!

Room is very bad, everything old price too expensive for this motels.

We loved the location of this motel. It is in a quiet neighborhood, tucked in between condos and just steps from the beach. The people who run this place are organized and friendly. I was worried when we got bombarded by rules after making our reservation but upon arrival we didn't feel pressure to watch every move we made. There are chairs and sand buckets outside every door for smokers, which made us feel welcome as smokers. The property is marijuana free, which is nice not having to smell it every where you go. We have a golden retriever ESA and we brought him with us, for an extra $30 per night. He is also trained as a service dog however we were happy to pay since he sheds like crazy! Tile floors are great near the beach, but don't forget to bring "Fido" a soft blanket or pet bed to sleep on. We liked the cold fridge and microwave and hot coffee pot. We liked that the second bed was in a small bedroom, it gave us privacy from the kids! This motel is not luxury, but it was comfortable and clean. No bugs or dirty linens.

For us, these things are not deal breakers but tips to help make your stay better. The pillows were small and smashed so you might think about bringing your own with you. Check in is at 4pm, by the time we arrived (we hit an unexpected traffic accident on the way, in Philly) we got settled and the pool was closed (7pm). Plus they want you to check out before 10am. Even your car must be gone before 10am. It would be nice if they allowed you to stay parked in the lot til 3pm. That would give short term stay guests an extra day at the beach. A nice perk for guests that doesn't cost the motel anything, but goes a long way for satisfaction points. Check out would be nicer if it were by 11am. The pool was refreshing (heated, perfect temp) however I noticed an oily scum line all the way around the tiles at the water level. I work in aquatics and this can easily be cleaned off with a blue scrubby pad or a magic eraser several times a season. This is not anything the motel could control, but we walked to the boardwalk which is a 3 mile hike and on the way back we tried to flag down the shuttle bus that runs up and down Ocean Dr and it sped right on past us as we yelled and waved. The app was not working and we ended up having to walk all the way back at midnight. Never saw another bus the whole way back. It was awful! Thank God I carried a rechargeable hand held personal fan with me that was such a big relief on that walk. Also the amount of stores and restaurants that try to over charge you is crazy! Watch your receipts closely! We got a $31 broiled seafood combo plate, 2 small steamed clams, 2 shrimp, 2 scallops and a piece of whitefish (don't know what it was, not flounder), a lobster roll (charged $23 for a 5" bun w/barely anything on it), two drinks and got charged just under $70. Do math: 31+23=54 and 70-54=16 means our drinks were $16. Make that make sense! The Olympic Flame (boardwalk) tried to charged us for 2 extra drinks.

Nothing was bad about this place…pillows could’ve been better but overall great!! We will be back.
