My second visit to this property, as it has everything I need. It's clean, spacious, quiet with a good kitchen and comfortable beds. The host Miguel is always very helpful and responsive in communications. Located in a quiet, residential area, not far from an access path to one of the Levadas.

The location may not suit those looking for a busier area. But if you have a car, then everything is within a short distance - and the car also avoids having to walk up the steep roads.

Ww had a lovely stay at Casa,Miguel. Good communication,very peaceful , comfy beds, great shower and good location for all the places we wanted to visit

Beautiful lush gardens, at first we were overwhelmed by the green but really appreciated the break from winter.

I believe more light in the kitchen would be helpful, A light over the sink, would make food prep and clean up a lot easier.

Everything was amazing! We rented a car, it was just less than 15 min drive from air port (many steep loads as everywhere in madeira!). Very lovely garden with many fruits and view is fantastic. The house was very spacious and clean. We stayed for 3 nights but if we had more time, we would spend more time in this house just chilling at the terrace. Feels nice to stay in one of "casa de campo" in Madeira. We will come back here for sure:)

Great quality detached accommodation. Spacious, clean, modern decor, with a well equipped kitchen. Fabulous views of Machico from the balcony. The gardens are beautiful and I enjoyed the privacy and tranquility - no road traffic or other guests to disturb your sleep! The owner, Miguel, was always prompt during the booking process, and Sra Maria, who delivers the keys, was friendly and helpful.

It was not a negative for me, but I agree with other reviewers that the access and location could be difficult for some, especially if arriving with lots of luggage.

Very nice accommodation, clean and comfortable, everything as agreed.

The beautiful, comfortable and clean house. The attention of the host and the housekeeper. The interesting garden. The magic view over the valley. The lazy afternoons in the hammock. The easy access to the levada. The secluded location yet closeness to Machico centro and to buses to other places on the island. The friendly local people. I did not have a car, and it went perfectly well with the local bus and taxi back when shopping groceries.

Nothing concerning the house, but earplugs helped me sleep when dogs barked and roosters cried during normal sleeping hours.

It is a lovely apartment, with spectacular views towards Machico. Miguel, the host, is excellent, thoughtful and is interested in you having a great holiday Perfect base for hiking towards Canical

Everything including the ever prompt service by the hosts. The views of the bay were spectacular.

Only one aspect, the near vertical steep climb rocky stone steps approach to the property. However the hosts arranged for their assistant Maria to assist us with our luggage both whilst checking in and out. It would have been impossible to have moved it ourselves. Suggest the host to fabricate an iron hand railing and a seamless ramp adjoining the stairs to facilitate luggage strolleys.

Outstanding views across Machico to the sea with the casa set in a Madeiran garden full of exotic plants. Rooms are modern and clean. Value for the rental price is excellent.

Nothing not to like. Access too Machico is by car unless very fit and the rural sounds of dogs barking are a joy to me. Property parking is on the cul de sac road and access via steps. Housekeeper only speaks Portuguese, brilliant for a new language student.

We enjoyed the hospitality and the warm atmosphere of Casa Miguel. The apartment were equipped with everything what you need. It was quiet and impeccable clean. The view from the balcony and big terrace are superb! The location didn’t disturb us because we had a car and could easily reach every place. We really recommend it. It is perfect place to relax after exploring the island.

Everything. Especially restaurant 200 meters away, where they treat you like a guest, not a tourist. There are also portable heaters. Handy for runners/hikers. You have something about three options for trails close by.

Great views, fresh custard apples for free, all the utensils you need, rapid response to queries, lovely vibe about the place.

Nothing apart from the hard incline to walk up every day! Requires getting groceries in town.

We both loved the veranda and the balcony upstairs. The views are amazing out across to the sea. If it got to chilly in the evening we sat upstairs looking out the huge windows. Very comfortable and cosy.

Fabulous property with extensive views. Great lavada walks in both directions just up the road behind the property.

A wonderful stay ! The views from all the rooms and the cleanliness are top notch m ! My young son loved playing in the garden and swinging in the hammock . The house was perfect for a family and the kitchen is fully equipped. The location is Easy to get around and the owner sent me many tips

There were mosquitos every night . If we closed the windows , it got too hot ; if we opened the windows, we got mosquitoes ! So please remember to bring mosquito spray , it wasn’t easy to get in stores . The beds were a little too hard but it’s personal. I would still choose to stay at casa miguel !

Can not complain about anything.

A lovely footpath through the garden. Every time you walked along you found a different plant. A large outdoor seating area plus a balcony or large window to view the valley down to the sea. A very well supplied kitchen so much better than other places we have stayed in on Madeira. Our stay was to short but will definitely return. The photos do not do the place justice.

Steep stairs down from the road maybe a problem for the less mobile. But if you can manage is well worth it.

Casa Miguel offered a very special space to stay calm and relaxed. The house is spacious and it keeps a very familiar environment. The value price of Casa Miguel is exceptional, it is very affordable for the quality of the assets it offers like the kitchen, the balcony, the living room, the bathroom, and the big garden. The surrounding area is green and has many hiking paths at the grasp of the hand. Miguel was a very kind host, constantly keen on providing advice and concern about everything I needed. Also Dona Maria was a very nice housekeeper, very friendly and available to provide help. Finally, the Restaurant Noia, that is located 100 m away from the property, offered cheap and extraordinary local food. I am looking forward to coming back again, I highly recommend this place for nature lovers and also people that want something less tourist and calm. Thank you Miguel for all your attention! Abraco

The weather can be colder due to the localization of the house. Machico itself is colder than the south of Madeira, but as the house it embedded in the mountain it tends to be even colder. I stayed two weeks in the month of April and constantly I needed an extra sweater and pants to be warmer. Additionally, even if the house is completely clean, sometimes the high humidity was causing the rooms to smell like in storage.
