Imagine; you've been driving for a long while and arrive at this mansion located in the middle of beautiful nature. With the host awaiting you and welcoming you for a winetasting to begin with, shortly followed by a 4 course menu of delicous food. Accompanied by some Johnny Cash music, lore of the area and Slovenian wine history. Everything they made was fresh, from local and seasonal produce. Best 'homecoming' I've experienced in a long while (The many cyclists staying over thought so as well).
Although we could never tire of the beautiful view while dining or relaxing at the residence, it was hard to find open lunchrooms, restaurants or bars in the area. But when you love nature, hiking and peace - all that doesnt really matter at all.

Very nice staff, nice, cosy and clean room, homemade breakfast, good Wifi, beautiful nature, big parking space.
The hot water wasn‘t running properly in the shower, no hairdryer, no glases in the room.
Location beautiful but hard to find with bad cellphone reception.

There isn't a thing you could not like here. Seriously.
Ok, the weather played a bit tricks on us the first day. But even it redeemed itself with a beautiful rainbow at the end of the day.
So, when you have a group of friends or family, all of them having time (which can be the most difficult part these days) and you want to spoil them (and yourself), book a stay. Reserve a table for dinner. And then - enjoy.
Did not like it to be so darn tempting to repeat the experience.
There isn't a thing you could not like here.

Hiša posebne sorte is a perfect getaway. It is very peaceful there and the hosts are welcoming, warm and caring. The food is delicious and vegetarian friendly. We definitely recommend it and will surely come back.

Great family running a well kept and caring place. Rooms were clean and comfy. food was good. we felt they loved their job and went beyond to make us feel good. the owners are also great singers and dancers! 😉

Everything was great. The restaurant food was high quality, the local wine was super. Beautiful location. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommennd.
The gusts next room were a little noisy at night.

Breakfast was very good with local products of a very good quality. We had a perfect stay, with great hosts that waited and served amazing dinner very late for us. We will definitely try to return for a longer stay to explore the surroundings and enjoy again our hosts hospitality at this nice place.

Incredible stay with great hosts. The location, view, facilities look way better compared to the pictures on Booking! Great hospitality and diner with local ingredients at a very cheap price. We had nice talks with Luka, who also recommended some nice wine tastings in the neighborhood. Would absolutely recommend this stay if you want to enjoy the Vipava valley.

Quite new family hotel surrounded by beautiful countryside. Best experience from our trip around Slovenia.
Noise from other rooms, maybe we were just unlucky with noisy neighbors. No view from our room with garden view because there is a wall :-(

Extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Dinner at the hotel was one of the best we have had in Slovenia. Beautiful scenery for a getaway in Slovenia. We recommend this hotel to everyone!

Owners of the place were super nice, very friendly and helpful. We got homemade beer and of course local wine (both very tasty). This place was really quite and sitting in the evening in the garden was great relax. I would definitely come back ! We were lucky that we were only visitors in the whole hotel that night.

The owners are very friendly and explained a lot about the way they run their business, offering local food and wine plays a big role and we got to experience that while having a pre-ordered meal which was very tasty.
We were also able to rent bike for free, very nice treat...so we had the possibility to explore the neighbouring village. The apartments are very large and you have a lot of space. It is all very clean.
