Ellie's View is a lovely property in a quiet residential street and close to the shops at the end of the street, don't forget the shortcut. You can just see the Lake. It is immaculate. The beds and bedding are very comfortable.. Please note the only way to the property is at the rear and there is an outside iron stair way to the front door. The key safe door doesn't drop down when you have put the code in, and after fighting with it for a few minutes I had to call Paul who said to use your finger to gently pull the door down :) The street is on a hill if you have mobility issues. I would definitely stay again. Shame it rained the 2 days we were there but we had a lovely time.

The property was quite spacious for our family of three and our pet. More than enough bedrooms and space to unwind & relax. The property was walking distance Bowness town centre and close to restaurants & shops.

Great location and has very recently been refurbished to a high standard, will definitely be back!

What an absolute gem. I would definitely stay here again as it is a well maintained well decorated apartment with a number of great views from the windows. Extremely close to the centre and a number of good walks

Property is dated and photographs on the website are clearly from sometime ago. We were disappointed and therefore wouldn't book again.

I booked this accommodation for 3 work colleagues who were working on a local project. All 3 gave great feedback saying the accommodation was very clean and tidy and great value for money. We would definitely book again should we need to stay in this area again.

Excellent communication from the host made everything hassle free. Master lock key system meant no problem accessing the property. Comfortable living arrangements and excellent location. Pet friendly too .... only downside would be the parking.

Only comment would be that the steps up to the door would benefit from some sort anti slip material being put on them.

Excellent location, but quiet and away from the traffic and bustle. Very clean and warm with comfy beds. It was an excellent base for exploring the lakes. We had a very enjoyable stay.

We had a few issues with the apartment, Paul was easy to contact and helpful. The apartment is well located, clean and secure. I would look to stay there again the next time we come to the Lakes

Had a nice few days here. The beds were super comfortable and clean, the shower was lovely and the bath upstairs was a nice size. There was no plug in the downstairs bathroom though, which was a downside with a mixed party both wanting baths at the end of a very taxing day. The towels in the main bedroom were also not very pleasant, they had more of a blanket like texture and we found long hairs on them. That said, we had no other issues with cleanliness. The kitchen was nice and decently equipped, although when preparing food the knives were rather blunt. The view from the bay window in the living room was lovely, perfect in the evenings.

While the access to the retreat is a fair climb, it is well worth it. The rooms are quaint and full of charm. Directions given by the owner were well stated. The views from each of the bow windows were exceptional. Ellie’s View is close to bus routes and delightful tea and breakfast spots. The town is full of lovely dogs of all makes and sizes.

Great location, easy walking distance of Bowness centre. Property was cleaned nicely and very welcoming upon our arrival. Great instructions and directions for finding and entering the house too.

First visit to the area. Ellie’s View is perfectly located, well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Would certainly recommend.

Let’s get the fact the decor is a bit out of date out of the way. It looks like it does on the pics and is clean, we had no qualms. Also that will be a reason the price is so reasonable. The apartment is located 5 min walk to Bowness itself. It’s in a quiet part a couple hundred yards off the main road. Have a cup of tea in the Bay window. Lovely view. It has everything you’ll need for a great holiday. There are stairs and Bowness is built on a steep hill. So think about that if your walking isn’t what it used to be. We’ve stayed in a few apartments over the years through homeway formerly owners direct and Airbnb. Pound for pound this was amazing value for money. We will be back. Happy holidays.

We were extremely disappointed with the state of cleanliness of the property. We had our 3 months old with us. It felt so unhygienic when we saw the beds, toilets and kitchen. Toilet had dirty marks. Family bathroom wasn't draining water from bathtub. Beds were not comfy at all. Towels were filthy. Found hair in between duvet and bedsheets. Regret highly for booking this place... Couldn't rate less than 1 star. Or else I would have.

This property had all the basics we needed except the pots and pans were very used and minimal and there was no dish soap. The strange thing about this property is that the advertisement is as if you can walk Ellie the dog and the people who own it are nearby and it is going to be a cozy and personalized place to visit. It is not that. We never heard nor saw the owners, much less the dog. There was no welcome of any kind. The place is basic clean: basic bedding, basic dishes, and off site parking. There are no real touches to make you feel welcomed to the property - which is fine as long as its billed that way. It is incredibly convenient to get to the town center and also has nice views . The furniture and beds were comfortable. the pictures of the place are accurate and that is really important and valuable. It would have been helpful to have a fan as It was incredibly hot. It was so hot in fact, it was uncomfortable to be in the living areas from mid day till about 18:30. I know the weather was extreme, but it would have said something if the owners had brought over a fan with a note. Again this kind of touch says they care about the people who are staying. Honestly, a few little personal touches would have turned this "fine" place into something special/memorable. This was the consensus of our whole family rather than just mine. I was the one paying and did not note the cost.

Lovely, clean and spacious property in the heart of Bowness. Second time I’ve stayed here. Highly recommended.

The property was very well located and quiet. It was an amazing experience and Ellie's view is very well named as the view over Bowness was stunning. Property was well equity we didn't want for anything extra great weekend break and Ellie's view is high recommended.
