What a gorgeous apartment to stay in during the winter months. It has a perfect view out over the salt lakes towards the sunset from the balcony. We stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year, with family staying nearby in two other apartments in the same complex. Our flat was the nicest by far, its kitchen was very well equipped and we had plenty of space to host Christmas dinner and other meals for 8 adults and a child. I was very pleased with the choice of flat. Checking in was very easy with Eduarda Barbara's help (the property agent) and the flat was spotless when we arrived. We loved the en suite master bedroom, and the second double bedroom is also a lovely room. We'll definitely return to Olhao and hope to stay here again.

Having stayed at similar apartments over the years, we knew what to expect from this apartment but were very pleased with not just the lovely place itself but also the perfect view from the large balcony. We had the Ria Formosa in front of us with its resident flamingos plus it was only a very short walk to the supermarket and to the new marina. We definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Olhao.

5star apartment, spacious, well fitted out throughout, good kitchen and plenty of cookware, cutlery and glasses. Comfortable furniture and well decorated, excellent location overlooking the salt pans on the Rio Formosa.

Beautiful property. Everythung you need is there. Great location. Lovely ferry trips to the beach. Plenty of restaurants. We arrived late in the evening, so maybe a bottle of water and a little welcome pack would have been nice. We would definitely recommend the apartment.

Great place to stay and visit the Algarve!

Overall, we were very happy with the Olhao apartment for our 10-day stay. It was spacious and had all the amenities and kitchen tools needed for a pleasant stay. Plus, the property manager Eduarda Bárbara was very responsive and helpful whenever we called her with questions. The apartment is a short walk to grocery stores, the fish and produce markets, restaurants, and the town itself. It is also conveniently situated to all main roads which made travel within the Algarve region easy. And the sunsets every evening from the balcony were most memorable! The only minor drawback was the difficulty in finding clear instructions for some of the appliances including the television and washer/dryer since their usage was not intuitive. Although we were finally able to figure out and/or find instruction booklets, this issue was a little frustrating as finding directions was not easily accessible. Nevertheless, we would not hesitate to stay again the next time we are in Olhao and would highly recommend this apartment to others.

We enjoyed the far reaching open views from the balcony, with afternoon/ evening sun. The apartment was well equipped with comfortable beds and plentiful supply of towels. It was really helpful to have an early check-in and later departure. We would be happy to return.

Everything was great. Apartment was extremely comfortable and had all the amenities to make for a perfect time in Olhao. The view from the balcony was impressive overlooking the Rio Formosa. The apartment is close to the downtown and shopping.

This is the second time we have stayed in Olhao but the first time in this apartment (although we have stayed in the block before). I would only want to stay in one of the apartments that look out to either the salt flats or the Marina so this one over looking the former was perfect. We got to see the flamingos flying in an out of the lagoon area which was amazing. The apartment has everything you would want/need and was very spacious for the 4 of us (1 couple and two singles). Loads of crockery meant you could make the most of the dishwasher. Communication with both the owners and their agents was great and they were really helpful with an early check-in. Its conveniently located at the edge of town, not far to Lidl (and their cheap and delicious pastel a Nata!) for a supermarket shop or the walk along the front to the centre of town and the restaurants. As we have been to the area before we had a much more chilled stay but enjoyed the trip to Armona on the Ferry and the drive to Fuseta which has a lovely beach. Olhao is only 20 minutes from the airport so is in a great spot for a short break but equaly well located to be able to travel along the Algarve coast. We were lucky with the weather as we had wall to wall sunshine for the whole trip and temperatures in the late 20's which for the beginning of October was unexpected. Would highly recommend

We have stayed at various apartments in Marina Village but would say this the best one, very clean and we'll equipped. Glenys and Maria did everything to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Fantastic apartment in Olhao. We have stayed many times in the Marina Village area but this was the nicest property we have rented. Well positioned and beautifully set up. These apartments are very spacious. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay great.

This is the third year running when we have stayed in the same Block of apartments facing the salt pans which are a haven for wild birds - especially flamingos.My wife and I were accompanied by another couple of old friends with who we take holidays at least twice a year. We span the age range of 75 to 82 years old and enjoy the fact that the Alhao area is flat which makes for easy walking. We always hire a car for our Portugal holidays which enables us to visit all the lovely places along the Algarve now made really easy by the A22 toll motorway. It was unanimously agreed that this apartment was easily the best of the three we have stayed in and we are very likely to come again. It is nicely furnished and the kitchen was adequate for us to prepare our evening meals. The king size bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable - but the single beds and the double bed in the other bedrooms are rather firm. Some memory foam toppers would be a great addition giving people the ability to have a firm or softer bed for those like us with old bones. The WiFi proved to be reliable and fast but the ladies had to manage for our 12 day stay without their TV soaps etc because British TV in Portugal is as rare as hen's teeth. You can see BBC World news and some USA news channels plus a lot of foreign programmes with English sub-titles. This is not a reflection on the apartment - it is general in Portugal unless you stay in 5 star hotels We used the Lidl supermarket for our daily supplies which is about three quarters of a mile away - or less that 5 minutes by car. Their bread and cakes cooked on the premises are wonderful - especially the rustic baguettes. MacDonalds addicts will find one the same distance away but we all ate healthily and didn't try it.Alhao is a lovely little town with a superb and fascinating fish market, some great restaurants, cafes and some quaint shops. The local authorities are in the middle of a major improvement to the sea front, presumably to attract more holiday makers which should be completed mid-summer.We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment for a relaxing stay in a great location - made even more enjoyable if you hire a car. Their local representative, Maria, whom we have met on previous stays, goes out of her way to provide any assistance you might need and speaks perfect English.

We had a fabulous 2 weeks. The property was to a high standard, clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed the home from home experience especially as we have a young family. Will definitely be returning.

A short taxi ride to the apartment from the airport, and we instantly felt at home. We chose not to hire a car, and that proved to be the perfect choice for us, with Olhão town only a 4 minute walk from the apartment. A beautiful, modern and spacious abode. The kitchen and bathrooms were not only clean and fitted with excellent 'mod' cons', but appeared to have just been installed, as did the rest of the apartment. The large front room featuring a large dining table and very comfy sofas, opens onto an equally large balcony perfect for watching the sun go down, meals and resting before heading out into town for the night. The beds in each of the three rooms were very comfortable, and there was more than enough storage space. The black-out shutters (apartment wide) ensured a great nights' sleep too, operated by a simple switch. The easy lift up to the roof gave access to the huge space filled with sun loungers and of course, the pool. Not a huge pool, but perfect for cooling off in and having fun. It was never busy when we were there, and it is empty as certain times. Cooking, cleaning and washing clothes was so easy. And to top it all off, possibly the most secure apartment we have rented. The wifi doesn't quite reach to the furthest room, but why need that? 20 odd MB is fast enough for most needs, and the TV with UK channels is great if you have had too much sun! Definitely recommend this apartment, and we are hopeful to rent this place again.

The apartment was fantastic it had everything you needed for a great holiday . Would definitely recommend it .

The apartment was clean comfortable & well equipped. Easy to walk to restaurants & markets. Maria was wonderful & when a fuse went she arrived with her husband within 15 minutes to fix things. We would recommend staying here.

You won’t be disappointed with this beautiful property, as a family of six we have just returned from staying at this great apartment, the photos don’t do it justice, the views from the balcony are amazing. The apartment has everything you could need, stylish but comfortable and the standard of cleanliness is second to none, the roof top pool was very clean and we often found that we had this area all to ourselves. The location is great as it is only a 5 minute walk before you start to reach all the restaurants so it’s close enough but not too close! We took the ferries over to Armona and Farol, Farol was our favourite the waters are so clear and the views are breathtaking, I don’t usually visit the same place twice but I would recommend this apartment and will probably take another trip!!!

Enjoyable stay in a wonderful apartment which contained everything you needed including a shopping trolley for your trips to Lidl and Continente. The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival and Maria was there to welcome us and show us around. The accommodation is a credit to Dave & Glenys

We stayed at this apartment during the first week in June. Having been visitors in July for the last 5 years in a nearby excellent apartment, this stay had some living up to do.We were not in any way disappointed in fact the views of the Ria Formosa and it's wildlife are much better and helped by a good pair of binoculars provided at the apartment which is testament to the attention to detail afforded by the owners. Local shops,. restaurants, bars and markets all feature heavily and excellent value particularly family owned eateries off piste...check trip advisor. Any negatives...the lift door closes very quickly, a bit like Arkwrights till! Olhao is developing, no doubt due to its inceasing popularity yet it remains eminently preferable to areas west of Faro. Great apartment, spacious and well equipped with lovely views over the Ria Formosa. We enjoyed walking the promenade and looking at the boats on the waterfront, the many cafes and restaurants and the little ferry to the islands with their lovely beaches.

A well maintained, equipped property; spacious and modern. Situated by an easy walk along the promenade to many restaurants and cafes. Accessible for wheelchair users and in close proximity to water taxis to nearby islands. A most enjoyable stay, which we hope to repeat in the future.

The apartment is fitted to a high standard whilst not losing that homely feeling. Set in a town that has a fascinating history and an excellent base to explore the wonders of the Rio de Formosa. There is something for everyone, with exception of those seeking late night clubs and music.

Thank you Glenys and Dave for a wonderful Easter break. Maria was very helpful letting us into the apartment, which was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Plus easy walking distance to the seafront restaurants and ferry to the island beaches, and watching flamingoes from the balcony at breakfast time - what more could we want?

An amazing apartment with everything you need for a home from home stay. Apartment and all equipment was of a high standard and Glenys' contact with details of apartment was very helpful. We have stayed at Marina residence many times before but this apartment has the best views from the pool. Thank you Glenys ,We had a wonderful relaxing time !
