This house was just big enough for 3 adults and two small children. You can’t beat the location of the site. Everything was easy and streamlined. I had little communication with the owner, but that was because it wasn’t necessary. I would recommend staying here.

We had a great time in Gulfport. The cottage has all you need and is within walking distance to everything.

This property was located in a good area and had everything we needed. The laundry facilities in the rental was a plus!

First I want to thank Dave so much you made everything wonderful and incredibly smooth. The house was so amazing and in the perfect spot of Gulfport. We walked 5 steps to great food, drinks, music , art walk and Farmers Market. We had a wonderful time in the yard having a BBQ or ordering Chinese and having drinks. We walked to the pier and enjoyed ice cream in Gulfport. Highly recommend this great cottage. I stayed in the Blue House and hope to again soon.

We had a delightful time at the property. It has everything and more than you may need during your vacation. We loved walking the town, riding bikes, and visiting the the local beaches. The house is super comfortable, and was spacious for our family of 5.

I was staying on this property at the lovely Green Cottage. I loved it, so I extended my stay once I was able to switch to the more spacious Blue Cottage on the same property, thanks to some fancy flexibility on the part of owners David and Margaret...Thank you so much! I hope to return more often.

Great location, within walking distance of everything. House was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Washer/dryer came in handy because of the rain the weekend we stayed there.

A great location to enjoy all of Gulfport's interesting sites, views and attractions. House is clean, well situated, and with all we needed for a visit with family and friends. The bed's are most inviting after a long day at play. Will recommend and stay again.

We were very happy staying in this cottage. Had everything we needed. The location is perfect for walking to all the activities in downtown Gulfport!

The property is just a one minute walk to Beach St and just a few minutes to the pier. The cottage has good separation of bedrooms and plenty of space in the kitchen. A real bonus is the front which has a huge courtyard with a gazebo and BBQ grill. David was very friendly and we enjoyed having long conversations with him. We look forward to returning in the future.

Great little spot so close to everything yet tucked away on a nice lot with a lounging area and grill outside - lots of cute little shops and restaurants nearby! The Beds were super comfy too!

It was a short stay but very nice. The place was clean and near everything. The only thing I can say I didn't like was the Tv. There was no cable and you had to stream from your own phone or tablet or what not. Since we were both seniors my grand kids had to work it for us.

We came down on a road trip with our two Aussie dogs to escape our late winter weather in Michigan. We arrived tired but as soon as Paula took us on a casual tour of the place, we relaxed in as if we’d been there before! Cozy and comfy describes the whole place! The garden area perfectly suited our habit of lounging around outdoors. We loved being able to grill out and relax around the table under the canopy with our dogs. It was great in all weather! We were only a block off the “strip” but you’d never know with the semiprivate, QUIET view of the neighborhood. We took turns falling asleep on the hammock in the yard, and visited the municipal beach and pier every evening! I wish we could have taken the dogs out in the kayaks or riding the bicycles that were available for guests to use, but the dogs were welcomed and adored by the dog friendly community, we took them everywhere around town with us! We spent three full days at Fort De Soto in Tierra Verde, which is about 25 minuets away. The first two days at the park we took the dogs and hung out at the dog beach near the Bay Pier. We used the beach umbrella, the picnic basket, towels, blanket, and small cooler provided for houseguests and brought our own kite! On our third visit the dogs opted to stay home because they were so tired out. We saw dolphins and manatee in the water right off the fishing pier, then we spent hours hiking and combing the beaches (north from the dog beach) for seashells, rescuing little starfishes and sand dollars at low tide, and eating our picnic lunch back at the fort where we started. (There is a short drive between the two sides of the park but lots of parking) I just had to go in the gift shop and found a softie manatee to snuggle all the way home! (their prices weren’t too far out of my budget for gifts either!) We just missed the weekly market day in Gulfport the day we arrived so we took it all in on the last day after we checked out. I absolutely wouldn’t want anyone to miss seeing the artistic talent and unique creativity that goes into the jewelry, clothing, decor, and tummy treats displayed. I feel like there’s so many ways to spend our time in the area and I’m sure much more to do there so coming back next year to the Longhouse is a very good possibility!!! Thank you Al and Paula for taking such great care of all the big and small things! We truly appreciated all the little touches that made it feel like home!

We were very happy with this house. It was our first experience with renting a home through a site like this. The location couldn't have been better, and it has everything you might need for a stay in Gulfport. The beds are super comfortable! The owners are nice to deal with and very accommodating. Would absolutely stay here or another property they own.

The neighborhood is quiet. One block from Beach Blvd. You must check it out. A street of shops and bars but still quiet enough to walk to the gulf and down to the piers. We were even serenaded one night while laying in the hammock. I hated to leave.

This house is in a great location and has everything one would ever need in the way of kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and beach supplies. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, shops and the waterfront area. We spent a lot of time in the outside gazebo reading and visiting with new friends. Paula and Alex started out as owners and ended up as friends. They addressed every simple request and need we had in a timely fashion. Our only concern is that we could not give this rating 10 stars!
