Price, BUT I've paid a lot less for much better. Hotel entry with pretty leadlighting and balcony (inaccessible) view of pretty church nextdoor. Clean toilets. Attitude of one staff member, pity there were multiple problems with the heating. Laundry facilities.

The rude treatment by one staff member. Make sure there are no problems with your room well before closing of the public bar or you will be dismissed and ignored. Parking is in public spaces, the only off street parking is the other side of the block, a car was broken into right beside where I parked. The temperature control in the room was a portable fan and a portable heater. Cold rooms; if your heater doesn't work I'm not sure if you have to go to bed early or you are meant to pull the electric blanket off the bed and wrap yourself in it to keep yourself warm (instructions from staff who couldn't be bothered with serving a paying guest because it was 15 minutes until her knock off time). The tea and coffee facilities were a kettle size shelf at shoulder height in a tiny laundry room with standing space for only one person at a time. The desk is only lap size and wedged in beside a wardrobe and the wall. I was expecting and fine with a small room but even I felt clostrophobic sitting at the desk. I'm lucky I don't have broad shoulders, it was so dark at the desk, I could barely make out if there was tea left in the chipped cup I was supplied with. Toilets and showers have gaping spaces around the door. The floor is VERY slippery in the toilets from steam and tracking water from the showers. Don't be mislead, the laundry is one washing machine and drier only for dozens of rooms.

My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were lovely and the food was delicious! Will definitely stay again on my way to the Gold Coast.

Clean, comfortable. Bit of road noise, but I slept comfortably thru it. The hotel was very nice with good staff.

Not much to dislike. Accommodation needs a bit of TLC. Floors are squeaky. Hotel closed a bit early.

Friendly, unpretentious, relaxed, helpful staff, happy to accommodate your needs where they can, lots locals, evening raffles, after work beers, mix of guests, clean well appointed bathrooms and communal kitchen/ laundry area, safe and secure rooms.

Room a bit hot and stuffy

Very friendly and helpful staff, room was basic but budget friendly as advertised. Within walking distance from Mittagong station.

The kitchenette down the hall is in the same spot as the laundry. I have allergies to washing powder so unfortunately couldn't use it.

Location is ideal, right in the middle of town. Check-in was a breeze, staff were really friendly. It is quite a nice pub, good food and drink available, I had dinner there. Noise control was really good - there was a rowdy private function in the bar but I could not hear it from my room.

Room was tiny. There was supposed to be a desk I could work at, but it was too small to put a laptop on and there was no power point nearby. I was there in Summer and the room was a bit stuffy even with the window open - it would have been good to have a fan in the room.

I love old pubs with Character. This one is in that category. Great location. Staff were pleasant.
