Location was excellent.
1. Gas Braai did not work and not compliant . Unit was not clean. Cookware and glassware was limited (not full sets), chipped and old. Curtains were hanging off the rails and had not been washed for a while. Outside seating had no cushions and the one seat which had cushions was torn and tattered. Jacuzzi not in good condition, difficult to open and close motor section , not safe at all. no mats outside to dry and wipe feet to enter the unit as tiles are slippery when wet. No assistance from rental company / maintenance company.

I wouldn't recommend staying in Suite 611. It was a huge disappointment from a broken hot tub, drawers that jammed to a filthy apartment.

This estate is very safe and secure , the restaurants, are beautiful and the lush greenery surrounds you.
The staff were friendly overall.
The views and beaches were beautiful.
The rooms, beddings etc was clean and comfortable to get into.
You must rent a car as it's a mission to secure an Uber ride in the area. You need to obtain codes from your host prior to arrival and departure.
The unit was beautiful but it does require some deep cleaning, drain cleaning etc. The kitchen drain gave off an unpleasant smell. The lounge chair/couch and cushions smelt of urine, unfortunately.

The estate itself was beautiful and had a lot to offer
The estate itself was beautiful and had a lot to offer, however I would not recommend staying at suite 611.
Firstly, the WIFI was terrible, and there was no mobile signal.
Furthermore, the broken drawer in the suite made it challenging to access plates, and the hot tub was also broken.
The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the overall cleanliness of the suite. It was dirty everywhere, from the counters to the tables, and even the drawers and bins.
This lack of cleanliness can be quite unsettling, and it made it uncomfortable for you to touch anything.
To make matters worse, the hotel charged an exorbitant R150 per used towel for "soaking," which seems like an unreasonable charge, especially since most hotels and accommodations provide ample towels to guests for their comfort.
Overall, I cannot recommend Suite 611 at Zimbali Estate, and I suggest that the management address these issues.

I liked the location and the view from my suite, its close proximity to activities, zimbali capital pools & activities and places to buy food.

Terrible Stay from the 11 Nov - 13 Nov
Day 1.
- The outside lights were not working, and I was celebrating my birthday with the Guest in the dark.
- All we had was a braai light and a poor lit balcony
- Hot tub on arrival was half filled with water and the hot tub was troubleshooted before we got there and left open exposed and unsafe with all the electrical exposed and untidy see pic attached.
- Paying for a hot tub and we were unable to use it due to it not being filled on night 1.
- Kitchen cupboard where all sealed, draws did not open to be able to use any bowls, dishes etc.
All we could access in the kitchen was glasses and cutlery thankfully we had packed paper plates.
- Aircon did not work in all rooms and the entire unit completely.
- Outdoor patio loungers were not set out and ready for us. When I called the gentleman, he advised the cushions were gone for reupholstery so there were no cushions available for us to use and me and my guest have a patio lounger with no cushions.
Day 2 – 12 Nov
- The letting agent Leisure Letting sent through someone to fill up the bathtub.
- Day 2 we were able to use it once off afterwards it lost all its water and emptied out again. The hot tub should not be advertised if the functionality does not work and it is not maintained for guests to use it for the duration.. Paying the kind of money for a hot tub that worked for 15min before water got lost again is unacceptable.
- The Maintenance of Zimbali suit advised the aircon specialist would be out and it would be resolved by the time we back from lunch. No surprise we returned, and the entire stay passed aircon still did not work.
- One of the ladies staying with us in the unit stepped out and returned to the entrance at 1.am.
This really was as pathetic as it gets. They refused to let her in as she was in the uber service.

Zimbali is always the best
The property and the host, absolutely the worst. We found people sleeping at the property. We stood at reception for almost 2 hours while security was trying to get them out of the property. Everyone claimed not to know how they accessed the property as they were not on the list of visitors for that weekend. I also discovered that my name as the person who booked was removed from the guest list. Unfortunately for them, they forgot to remove my husband’s name,
And through him, we were able to access the property. We found this very malicious and intentional as the host tried to justify this the following morning when she eventually came. Just so that this is out there, no one from the agency answered our calls at night even on their emergency line. I discovered in the morning that the calls all go through to the host’s cellphone, Zinhle. So she was clearly ignoring our calls the whole time When they were eventually removed from the property we went in only to find urine on the floors of the two bathrooms. The housekeeping tried to freshen up the room and change the bedding but I discovered that they only turned the sheet upside down and the duvet inside out. The worst service of the worst. Do not ever book this place. Save yourself and your loved ones the misery

Zimbali is a great holiday and relaxation destination. The service is Top Notch and all the Employees will greet and chat. The property and facilities are very clean at all times. We had the English Breakfast at the Poison Bar on Saturday Morning. Well priced and Value for money. The Beach club was were we spent most of our time. Excellent Service, Drink, Food and most of all the Management and Staff.
The 2 Bedroom Suite 611 which I booked was very disappointing. We got in late on Friday Evening and we thought we will just Braai and chill just to find that there was no Gas, The bottle was empty. We called the Agent she referred me to the owner. The Owner said he will sort out the Gas the Next day which was Saturday. The gas bottles were never replaced. Eventually it got too late and had to eventually eat at 10pm. The Braai grid were not washed, it was still black and greasy. The section around the Braai Knobs were so filthy. This porch or balcony was not washed and scrubbed in ages. There was no Braai Tongs. There was no ice tray. The towels on Saturday were not changed and was smelly. The Bed sheets were definitely not changed for I don't know how long. I think for the PRICE I paid, we definitely deserved better. This suite has to be jacked up and I also think I should get a Refund for this bad experience. Please don't Let Out your Apartment just to make that quick Buck because we expect the Quality and Service for what we paying.

there were no extra blankets and jacuzzi water seemed like it needed little bit of chemical and cleaning.

The suit was even better in person, clean and the view was perfect.
The stuff mess our booking, at the gate they couldn't find me on the list as we had to sit outside over 30min. When we call them on our way for directions they keep on saying they couldn't find my name on guests list we nearly turn around and left. Thank God we were patient eventually security cleared us. Stuff was very poor.

There was really absolutely nothing to like. Our expectations were high seeing as Zimbali is so big on the map. We have been there before, to the hotel and our hotel room and all services was exceptional.
I've actually never had a such a terrible experience staying anywhere before. I read some of the reviews before booking and one would think if theres bad reviews, sort your unit out but clearly years have passed and nothing has been done. If this unit belongs to a owner, they really need to consider getting someone more professional to take care of their unit as it is terribly neglected and you will never be able to get ahold of the agent even if your life depended on it. On Saturday we had water issues almost the entire day. On Sunday morning, we were locked out of our rooms for more than an hour,as the entry card wasn't working, there was no one at reception to assist us. The hotel reception could not help, apparently they dont have access to the suites. I had to try and call numerous contact numbers to try and get help. Staff at reception eventually showed up but quite late. I have to be honest, its units like these that will ruin the reputation of Zimbali. I will never book at the Zimbali suites again. Absolutely a waste of money and time. Bookings.com should also have these units removed as many customers are being deceived by the images.

That I have to pay breakage deposit but no inspection done in my presence doest it make sense? i need proper inspection first I can not pay without inspection Couse I won't have a prove myself that everything was 100% okay.

The Capital Hotel facilities is awesome with restuarants food was also great at the Hotel. Shuttle driver very friendly and suggested things for our family to do in Balitto.
Bathrooms with black mould all over due to extractor fans not working, aircon need attention definitely not cooling the rooms. Room TV remote not there. Jacuzzi jets not working. Could not use outside area too many monkeys constantly on the patio and getting aggresive when trying to chase them away. Condoms found in bathroom cabinet
