This property was perfect for our family vacation. The long stretch of sandy beach kept the kids, all under 5, entertained and busy. They had so much fun. The pontoon was great and we had several fun rides. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals and there are plenty of dishes. Michele was always very prompt in answering questions. We also appreciated how close we were to Alexandria.

This is our second time renting this property for our family vacation (8 adults, 7 children 1yr-9). The house is big enough for everyone to have their own space, when they need a break from the chaos 😜. Having use of the pontoon is a real plus. The owners of the home were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Hoping to rent again soon!

Loved the property! Excellent views of the lake from the back deck and from inside the house. Many spaces for folks to spread out. The pontoon was great, really glad we added that to our rental.

The house and the location were perfect for us. We enjoyed the water even though the weather was not as warm as we would have liked. There were many little things that were so nice - prepasted toothbrushes, baking supplies, and hillbilly tupperware containers for leftovers- we had a wonderful time and would love to return.

We were in town for a wedding and needed space for three families with kids ranging in age from 1-17. The Lake House was the perfect fit - both in size and location. There were plenty of bedrooms to allow for spreading out, each family had their own bathroom, and the gathering spaces were never too crowded. Communication with the host was great and we appreciated the flexible check-in and out times.

We had a great two night stay. The basement games were awesome! We played volley ball, went to several local attractions with the kids, played games and enjoyed family. The extra little things like toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo, etc. we’re really nice.
A couple suggestions: checkout at 9:30 am is difficult with large groups, particularly with young people. I wanted to kayak as it was a beautiful fall afternoon, no life jackets were available. A couple of the boards on the swing set, had an end that was in tough shape, concerned with kids playing.

This house was just what we wanted! Lots of room for our ladies get away. Big rooms, big kitchen table for eating and games. Lots of refrigerator space (2 full size, 2 mini)....two ovens....big cooktop. Several ice makers. So well stocked with soaps, paper towels, bathroom tissue, napkins, plastic forks etc along with so many places settings of flatware, dishes and steak knives. Most any utensil, pan, baking pan, bowls, etc you could want. 4 slice toaster, Keurig and regular coffee maker, crockpot.....you get the picture! And detailed things....from big spice selection.....to individual pre-pasted toothbrushes.....K-cup selection...hot apple cider mix....you get the picture. The view of the lake is stunning and it's a short walk to the water. The supplies and everything provided reflect the size of the property. Much thought went into this property as a vacation rental....and we benefited from it. Amos texted us right after we arrived and when we contacted him about a couple of small things, he responded right away. Great experience!

Overall the property was perfect for all 6 adults and 6 children! There were plenty of rooms for everyone! The dock was huge and perfect for all the children to catch lots and lots of fish! Bonfire pit was beautiful next to the lake and my children loved the big sand volleyball course that they actually used as a huge sand box!

3rd year with our family at this location. We enjoy everything about the house and quiet neighborhood includng the beach, swimming and tubing, fishing off the dock for little ones, and volleyball court. The manager and owners are responsive and nice to work with for any problems.

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. There was plenty of room for our growing family. Enjoyed the table space for dining together both indoors and outdoors. Loved the house and all it's amenities. The lake was perfect - the water clear, the beach sandy, fishing off the dock, and a beautiful pontoon to use to tour the rest of the lake. It was also very close to Alexandria so you could easily run in to pick up any needed items or enjoy local entertainment. The property owners were great to work with and very prompt at answering any questions.

Beautiful home and property to rent. Kitchen is well stocked, lots of space to gather together or choose a quiet room on your own. The owners/manager were very responsive when there was a problem with alarm system and stovetop and the problems were quickly resolved. Great amenities but we were disappointed that the advertised Buck Hunter, Foosball, and Hulu access were not working. All in all a great place to enjoy with family or friends.

Great family vacation. Great location. House had plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and small appliances. More than enough refrigerators space with 2 fridge/freezers and 2 beverage fridges with ice makers. Great level lake access and great fishing off the dock. We had such a wonderful time at this property. The home was very comfortable and well stocked. The outdoor space offered lots of seating, a beautiful lawn for games and a large dock of relaxing. The owners/managers were very kind and easy to communicate with. Our only disappointment is that they don't renters first right of refusal for their same week the following year (like many other rentals have offered us). We would definitely have re-rented this lovely property.

The house was everything we needed. We used pretty much all of it from the downstairs games to the upstairs washer and dryer. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed and everything worked great. The only thing that would be nicer is to have a little larger swimming area, and to be able to go out a little deeper without hitting seaweed. The fishing off the dock was great, even catching the little ones was fun. Jim and Michelle were very good about communicating with us in whatever situation. My family thanks you for a great vacation!

The property was well appointed for our needs, with plenty of room for 12 adults and kids. We were made aware prior to our arrival that there was a loose banister on the stairway to the basement. There were a few items that did need repair on the property but over all did not affect our stay. The property manager was super helpful when we realized my niece forgot her purse at the property and he found and shipped it.

Michele's place was perfect for our 29th annual ladies' getaway weekend. There were plenty of beds for everyone and lots of wonderful gathering spaces in the house and outside for our large group. The house is appointed very nicely with everything you could want or need. The kitchen is set up with all the dishes, glasses, pots, pans, bowls, utensils, baking pans, crock pot, etc. you need to cook and serve a big meal as well as a cupboard with extras like cooking oil, sugar, salt, etc. and a drawer with spices! Lots of other little touches that make it feel like a real home and not just a vacation rental. I love the fact that every cupboard, closet, and light switch is labeled so you know what's in it or what it does. You don't waste your time opening every cupboard looking for a plate. The grounds of the home are beautiful and allow for lots of activities like volleyball, croquet, etc., and just space to have fun. We rented the pontoon and the management company was there to greet us when we arrived to show us how to use the pontoon and stayed in contact via text message if we had and questions or issues. Our group has been at a different location each of our 29 years, but I think we have finally found our forever home!

This place was large enough to house our ladies get away. We each were able to have our own bedroom! The lake is great. All in all, a good property to rent. Could use some TLC, but it is the end of the season and assuming that will happen over the winter months.

Spacious home for 10 adults plus 4 kids. Water trampoline (fun, but safe--not super bouncy like a land trampoline) was a huge hit for kids 3-6 and adults 6-50. The lake is not huge, but that limits the amount of speed boat/jet ski action, which is mostly noise. Pontoon boat allowed enjoyment of lake. There are weeds, but the area near the dock is clear enough for young kids, and beyond that (swimming to the trampoline) was not a problem for kids with life jackets (which float the user a little higher) or adults. The water was absolutely clear in late summer--no algae or even suspended particles (pollen?). Lots of bird action, including osprey and several bald eagles. Location is great, almost exactly 2 hours from Minneapolis (in somewhat off-hours).

Highly recommend for bigger families - well equipped kitchen, lots of bedrooms and places to play, fun downstairs games for kids like big game hunter, great beach and water trampoline. We really love this smaller quiet lake and neighborhood. We caught fish off the dock enough for a couple fish fries.

This is the 2nd year for our growing family to gather at this amazing vacation home. The home, property, lake, volleyball court, and pontoon are well maintained and we all ( from 3-75 year olds) have a blast. Looking forward to our third summer vacation reunion next year.

So many positives, I know I will miss some.
The water trampoline, volleyball court, pontoon and fishing for the young kids, games downstairs were fun for all ages. All in all Hugh pluses.
The kids bedroom (Madaline's room) another big plus. All the grandkids thought this was awesome to share one room.
The one downside was the sliding glass door to the deck needs a little TLC.

Our family rented this property over the 4th of July this year. We loved the amount of space this property offered. The bunk room was great for our kids. We loved the water trampoline. Great for the kids to play on and the adults to lounge on. Fishing off the dock was fantastic. We rented the pontoon boat for an extra $300 and that was ok. The boat didn't start the first day. Loose plug or something? The property manager was very attentive and came to fix it the following day. The pontoon wasn't in great condition. Very dirty and needed to be cleaned before taking it out. It was also pretty beat up which we didn't expect given the very itemized and detailed rental agreement with repair costs. We loved having the kayaks on site and the beach volleyball. Overall, a great experience and would recommend.

Beach was not clean, pontoon boat was unsafe due to a table that wasn’t screwed in correctly, carpet was dirty and dingy, beds were very uncomfortable, inside/outside stereo didn’t work correctly, and a door came off a hinge while we were there.
If you want to sleep in uncomfortable beds, walk on dirty carpet, and get overcharged for things then this place is for you!
