While the posting indicated there was an AC, early communications from the host indicated there was no AC, but that fans were available. As to cleanliness, the shower curtain had mildew stains and smelled of such. Otherwise, the information provided in advance from the host made the check-in process easy. Overall, we would be willing to use the same host again, just maybe not the same location as they have multiple locations available in the same general area.

Room was clean and great. We stay a week and never drop off towels, or really dealt with anything during the visit. Pool needs a real pool company. Dogs barking wake me up in the middle of the night every night

We were looking for a space where we would be able to trade off skiing and watching our infant son and this place met the objective. It’s an 8 min walk to the base of keystone, which is nice. This space could use an update - everything seems like it’s 10 years old. Rugs were not the cleanest and not laying flat, coffee machine leaked, blinds broken, outlet plug non-functioning. While we turned the heat to 58, it was still very warm in the unit. Very loud hallways but thankfully folks were quiet after 10pm. Price seemed reasonable given amenities.

The room has a sign that says....Eat Sleep SKI. That perfectly describes what I did. It was also great to sit in the hot tub after skiing each day to relax those sore muscles. It met all of my needs and the staff were very helpful also.

We enjoyed this room overall. The kitchen amenities were good; we used the hotplate and electric kettle. Great TV channel options and solid wifi. Access to garage and through lobby were easy.The pullout mattress was not so great and room lighting was on the dark side.

The directions to the place were convoluted. I drove in during a snow storm when road signs were covered in snow and most of the town seemed like a one way, so don’t make a wrong turn or you’ll end up doing laps. The condo is situated above with parking behind the gateway beer and grocery store, and at no point was this made clear. The check in office was also a different address a block or so down the road, again not helpful in the instructions. The room was a clean, quaint little environment with everything you needed. Very isolated from everything though. I unfortunately became extremely ill with altitude sickness and had to make a quick descent, the company had no flexibility in refunds or partial refund for situations liked this that can life threatening, even with a doctors note. I ultimately ended in a Denver ER. Consider offering trip insurance, additional fees for refund options, etc especially if this is a common thing like everyone said. This only added more stress to an already super stressful situation.

Rented this same room 2 years ago, so was very happy to be able to get it again. The only thing I forgot was it was on the side of the highway, so it was noisy if you wanted the windows open. Other than that, it was perfect for us. Just wanted a few days away. This is a great location. Room is clean and comfortable.

Clean, and easy parking, but the neighbors are another story.... one of the local residents who lives in the building tried to pick a fight with me and my husband. It was raining outside and i followed him into the garage, he was pulling in right in front of me. I didn't think it was a big deal, so i didn't roll down my Winfield and use my key code and get all wet. The guy stops right in front of me to try to make the automatic garage door come down on my new truck... and he turns around and rolls his Winfield down and starts yelling at me and I'm like "go, go... it's going to hit my truck..." and my wipers are going and i can't hear what he's saying. So just in time, he pulls forward and i get through the door and it opens again for me before it smashed my hood. So i go in and park. He gets out of his truck and walks towards us like he wants to fight me. I'm a female by the way. My husband gets out of the passenger seat and interferes and he starts yelling at him, asking if we are staying here and telling us we have to use the code and telling us he's going to call the police. We were very calm and just said sorry we didn't realize, and we will do that next time. And he walked away and went up the stairs and we used the elevator.
That was problem #1.
Problem#2 was people making noise upstairs like running or stomping for two nights in a row, past 11:40 on Thursday night and past 12:45 AM on Friday night. We were there for a conference and needed sleep

A wonderful place to stay ! Perfect location clean and comfortable and well stocked kitchen . Hummingbirds so fun to watch it would be a great place to have a feeder. Code and check in all worked very smooth , great access to bike trail and golf course . Only negative would be ants and maintenance on the back patio . Would definitely return 🙂

The accommodations were very nice. The lobby area with the fireplace and seating was fantastic. The pool and hot tub were good. We rented our skis from Breeze ski rentals, which is conveniently located in the building. Lots of walkable food and beverage places. The indoor parking is fantastic especially when it snows 8" overnight. We had an issue where we had to call the service number, someone answered righ away and was able to help up very quickly. Over all it was a great time.

Summit County Mountain Retreat took over the VRBO booking immediately after we booked. Their cancellation policy is more restrictive than VRBO and they agreed to the VRBO policies when we addressed it with them, so read the contract carefully. Summit County Mountain Retreat had great communication, check-in and check-out clearly stated, property in great condition.

The 4:30 check in is too late. The 10:00 a.m. check-out is ridiculous, especially for a ski resort. The people above us decided to what sounded like where their ski boots around the room till 1:00 a.m. and starting again at 6:00 a.m. . The whole place smelled like pot but that's Colorado.

Stellar Customer Service
Everything about this property was perfect. Breakfast downstairs at the Haywood Cafe and a quick trip to anything else we wanted. The best part was the service offered by Summit County Mountain Retreats. Between the check in packet with restaurant recommendations and the check in and check out texts with check ins in between, it was a great experience. Would come back again and again and highly recommend.

Perfect getaway!
My wife and I stayed here for three nights, and it worked out great. Everything worked well, and the photos & description accurately captured what the unit offered. There were ample restaurant options within walking distance, and the covered parking was a great plus. We'd stay here again.

This was my 2nd stay at Gateway #5072 and it was just what I needed. I've lived in Colorado for over 50 years but moved out of state 4 years ago. When I come back it is to ski and not waste time. I love that the shuttle stops right in front of the building. After a full day of skiing, it's nice to soak in the indoor hot tub and relax the knees and muscles. The room is not large, but since I'm alone, the room suites me perfectly. The kitchenette allows me to fix simple meals quickly and have plenty of time to rest up for the next day on the slopes. I will be back in the future.

Gateway condos areclose walking distance to River Run Gondola. #5072 was an excellent choice for myself and friend. King size bed was very comfortable. The sofa did fold out to full size but bed if needed, but we did not use it. The blinds in the Window were nice but do need a new rod to be able to open. And close them conveniently. Overall this condo was perfect.

Lacking basic maintenance
Door would not latch and lock 90% of the time. When we arrived at the property our unit was wide open door not locked I’m assuming due to the fact the door does not latch to lock 90% of the time. Needs a new can opener couldn’t open any of our can goods. Would of liked to use the fire place no switch or remote to start it anywhere in sight. Looked thru the whole unit. Reported to property and was told that was strange we heard nothing from previous renters. Unit was to warm. Thermostat was locked in at 72 degrees.
