Overall the place was very clean and comfortable, with everything you need. The road to get there from the hwy is not very good.

This was our second stay at one of our most favorite places. Jean Marc once again demonstrates excellent communication before and throughout the visit and does an incredible job maintaining everything in superb condition despite the constant toll of salt air. Sliding doors glide smoothly, sinks gleam, and overall housekeeping is exceptional. He provides suggestions on local restaurants and anything else one might need. Such a perfect host! All rooms feature an extensive and eclectic display of paintings and objets d'arts that lend a unique flavor so unlike a stark hotel or resort room. This wonderfully private house and exterior space is comfortable and quiet, tucked away down a twisty little drive. From the interior and the yard one is drawn to the sound of surf and the rich blues and greens of the ocean. Daily early morning gardening and pool service sets everything in beautiful condition for admiring the view or cooling off as needed in the lovely pool. A couple of chaise longues would be a nice addition for enjoying the day. With this much beauty at hand each day there is no need to go anywhere except for a meal or quick drive around the island to revisit the dramatic peaks and valleys. Locally grown fruits and vegetables are offered all along the road to complement the fresh fish and breads to delight the taste buds. Moorea and this amazing house tick all the boxes for us keep us away from the bustle and westernized experience of a resort property.

We enjoyed this amazing rental. It is well appointed right by the beach. The house had everything you might need. You can enjoy your breakfast coffee with a million dollar view on the ocean nearby and, if you are lucky, see the whales or dolphins pass by. During our stay it rained a couple of times, but the sky cleared up fast for us to enjoy the beautiful island of Moorea with its warm turquoise water and lush forests. In the morning we went to a local beach a few minutes drive away where kids would swim and snorkel and in the afternoon kids loved spending time in the pool. Extra bonus - air conditioning in the bedrooms and the very sweet owner's dog. The owner was very accommodating and permitted us to do a late checkout on Sunday and even gave us a ride to a ferry. In the end of our stay we only wished we could stay a little longer!

This is the house, book it! We feel so fortunate and thankful to have stayed here. Beautifully appointed home, wonderful owner/community, perfect location. Did not want to leave! We enjoyed relaxing with the house open, whale watching right from the house, walking on the beach, and the pool with pool house. Air conditioning in bedrooms very comfortable and quiet neighborhood. The house is well designed with very nice art work throughout 10 stars! The owners dog is so sweet we miss her too!

Definitely 5 stars, the house and property are beautiful. Close to the public beach and the house was in a perfect location for sea life viewing. We saw whales almost every day of our stay, sharks, dolphins and sea cucumbers. Jean Marc was so gracious and helpful with advice on what to see and where to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay at Jean Marc’s beach house. We lost count of how many whales we sighted out front of the house, some in really close. We also saw dolphins, schools of fish and stingrays outside the reef. The beach just down the road is sandy, warm clear water and good snorkling. Jean Marc is very helpful and discrete. We would recommend a rental car to access the rest of the island during your stay. Merci, John Marc!

Jean Marc and his home made our trip to Moorea very special. Even with his limited English, communication was easy and he was always available. He lives next door, but the property is arranged so we had privacy. Jean Marc went out of his way on our last day -- we had an 11:30 pm flight out of Papeete back home. He offered us a late check out, and drove us to the last ferry so we could return our car earlier. Above and beyond service. His home - beautifully designed and constructed, filled with interesting art from his travels around the world - was very comfortable and pleasant. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool room, and the pool. The location is near the nicest beach we found on Moorea. You will need a car to get to restaurants and markets. Jean Marc also provided us with many good suggestions of restaurants, stores, and sights to see. We hope to stay at Jean Marc's again someday.

This beach house was itself a work of art! A quiet location right on the ocean. We enjoyed watching the sunrise. Very private. Jean Marc was very helpful. Right near a beautiful beach. We rented a car and it was easy to get around the island. The house is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. It was nice to be able to cool off in the pool and relax in the cabana. It was hard to leave it. Thank you very much for your hospitality, Jean Marc!!

We visited for 6 nights with our 3 grandchildren. The house is simply beautiful, with modern comforts (ac), gorgeous lighting and many artistic details. We loved the pool, sitting and watching the ocean, and listening to the waves at night. The kitchen has everything you need.

My husband and I and our friends stayed here for 9 nights in February. The home had everything we needed and our host was very accommodating. He was helpful when we needed him and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Moorea is beautiful, hot and humid in Feb, but absolutely beautiful!

We are world travelers, and this was the best vacation house ever in our experience. We would return in a heartbeat. Advance communication and check-in were both easy and stress free. The beachfront location and exposure are superb; fine snorkeling and sandy beach is a walk away. The light salt water pool provides uplift day and night. The house feels more like a home than a rental property, with art and decorative trimmings everywhere. And the sense of love and security provided by friendly neighbor dogs is priceless. This is a special place and deserves its 5 star review.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay !! It was beautiful, relaxing and very comfortable. Our host went above and beyond to help us get to the ferry and took us to the grocery store . Highly recommend!

I am a professional home designer, and I can say that the attention too aesthetic detail in this house is some of the finest I've ever enjoyed in the many vrbo houses I've rented. Of course it helps that you have direct frontage on a remarkably private beach. Swimming pool is great. The only problem was that we had to leave, after the rental period, when we would have preferred to stay an additional three years.

Our stay was simply amazing. Beautiful home with so much character. Large and spacious. We loved the artwork and personal touches. Steps from the water with beautiful sunrise views. The pool was perfect for us to cool down and relax. One recommendation: internet was slow and at times non-existent… which may prove troublesome if you need to have access. BUT, it is a vacation and we used the time to relax 😊. Tinitua was a wonderful host. Excellent communication and guidance. There were two wonderful dogs that welcomed us (on the property, not in the house) and served as a kind of protector looking out for us. So friendly… we will miss them as much as the house. So… thank you Jean Marc for sharing your wonderful, beautiful home with us. We have traveled around the world and your home was our favorite. Merci Beaucoup!

We stayed at Jean Marc’s house and had a wonderful time! The property is very well maintained and the pool out in the backyard was so enjoyable in the evenings after a long day of adventure! The house had everything we needed and is very well stocked! We stayed in a few nights and made dinner at the house and sat on the back patio to watch the sunset. We had 3 couples in total staying at the house. We each had our own living spaces with our own showers and toilettes. I would highly recommend staying at the property.

We loved the house very much! Jean Marc was the best host ever and the house is the best equipped vacation rental we had so far. We loved the bean bag in the cabana and sitting underneath the little tree looking out on the ocean, watching some whales swimming by was our favorite thing to do. The house has really everything you need!!! The little pool was also amazing and the location of the house is perfect! We could have stayed much longer!!!! Fabulous well appointed home, well stocked kitchen, very private, the reef is close to shore so the sound of waves is nearby. Friendly “guard” dog that watches the property and loves to be pet. Very relaxing, quiet stay. Yard and garden is well manicured. We feel that the home exceeds the listing pictures. Great value. We hope to return again. Thank you, Jean Marc!

This was our second stay here, and we are planning to return. Perfect location right on the ocean but also very private. Great spot to just unwind and watch the waves, feel the breeze and wait for the moonrise. The house is clean, beautiful and really comfortable. Love the pool house for afternoon naps too! Pictures cannot capture the relaxing vibe! It’s great having the outdoor shower for apres ocean dips and getting the sand off your feet. The pool is perfect for just jumping in to cool off, or for an extended lounge. For swimming and snorkeling there is a long, sandy beach a very short walk or drive from the house. You can see the beach in the Sofitel Hotel pictures. The color of the water is gorgeous, and as you can discover yourself, the water is a perfect temperature. Jean-Marc is the best host ever. There was a problem with the refrigerator and he brought a huge cooler with lots of ice immediately, and replaced the appliance the next morning! In Moorea! He also generously helped us with some reservations and phone calls that we could not manage with our limited French. He truly wants you to have the best stay there. And we certainly DID have the best time there.

Jean Marc's place is even better than the pictures show. It's located in a private, gorgeous, tranquil setting. The house is comfortable and well equipped. It's close to the ferry and airport but you'll still want/need a rental car to get to the place easily and get out and explore the island. Highly recommended, we'll be back.

Moorea est une île de Polynésie très agréable, vivante et pas envahie par les Resort comme certaines. La vue sur la mer et sur les baleines ainsi que la piscine sont des vrais plus. Bref nous recommandons Moorea et la maison de Jean-Marc!

The villa is beyond expectations. It is very comfortable and well kept. Jean Marc is a gracious host. He responded quickly to any questions we had. The setting is quiet and picturesque. We will stay there again if we make it back to Moorea some day!

Même les baleines nous ont fait l'honneur de nous saluer presque tous les jours, juste devant la maison ! Nous reviendrons chez Jean Marc si nous revenons à Moorea, c'est certain !

This property was fantastic! We loved the location, right on the ocean, and the beautiful sunrises! It was close enough to the Ferry to not have to travel far but far enough away to be secluded. Our host was most attentive and took care of everything. We really loved our stay here!

This is our 7th trip to French Polynesia and 4th time on Moorea. Having a beautiful house with pool and great location has been far better than staying on a resort property. The internal and outdoor spaces here are lovely, very comfortable, private, and with the requisite gorgeous ocean view. That ocean is only steps away, too. Nearby is the extensive Temae beach with numerous shade trees, placid turquoise water, decent snorkeling, and access to the Sofitel at one end. From initial contact host Jean Marc has excelled at communication by answering questions, providing detailed directions and photos for checkin, suggesting restaurants and activities, and inquiring if we are enjoying ourselves or need anything. So attentive and quick to respond! As one other reviewer said, the house and grounds are even better than the photos suggest and the degree of peace and privacy was exactly what we had hoped for. The kitchen is very well equipped and the island's biggest grocery store is just down the road. You are also tempted to stop at the many roadside stands offering fabulous local fruits and vegetables. We had some trepidation about traveling at this strange time, but it has been a wonderful opportunity to return to the tranquility and beauty of Moorea while feeling sheltered and secure. This rental property will be even more perfect when normal travel returns. It's on our "do over" list for that 8th trip to French Polynesia.

The property was amazing and even better than we anticipated. Jean Marc was waiting for us and was the most gracious host! What a beautifully decorated and arranged home! Our entire experience was fabulous! The island was enchanting and we were lucky enough to see whales every day even at the end of the sameason RIGHT FROM OUR BACKYARD! Breathtaking!
