Seven Up è un divertente, adatto alle famiglie 4 camere da letto, 3 cottage di montagna bagno completo che si trova in una proprietà ben paesaggistico, praticamente privata, circondata da boschi maturi. We had a great stay at this beautiful home. The house is perfect, and the location was great. Close to town and close to the ski resorts.

Cozy Winter Away
The group enjoyed ours staying there, though it was a rainy weekend. The cabin was nice and clean inside as well. We were a little nervous about the road, but it was okay since there was no snow. The two problems we had was the wifi, a bit unstable even after we reset it. Also, the room upstairs with a double bed was cold, and you could feel the wind blowing thru the window; we had to move on the second night.
Overall, everything is good, fast response, and good management.

Beautiful Location, Be Prepared to Unplug
The location of the home is ideal, and it’s just a short walk from the home to an amazing mountain view. Despite some hiccups with the wifi, the property manager went above and beyond to resolve our issues, and we were especially grateful knowing that our stay was during the holidays.

Beautiful cabin!
The cabin was beautiful inside and out but there was no trash bags and one bathroom did not have hand soap. Also the grill propane tank was stuck on close so we were not able to grill some burgers like planned. Other than these minor things we had a great stay! The customer service was great! We arrived about 6pm and had issues opening the door but the rental company answered and helped us immediately.

Perfect spot
The house was a great fit for what we needed. There were 12 adult guys and we each had our own bed. The house has internet as well as direct TV and is was close to all that we needed. The house could use some updating and maybe a little more detailed cleaning but for us it was a great fit for a short stay.

The stay was fine but these 3 issues made our stay not so good :-
1. Cleanliness was not up to the mark
2. There was no way to communicate with the property owner even when we had an issue with car getting stuck on slope to the house

A Family Vacation
My two sons and four granddaughters celebrated Christmas in July. We were unable to get together for any holidays this past year so I planned a holiday for my sons, their 2 college students and two upcoming high school students.
We loved the layout and all the living spaces.
The 4 twin beds in the girls room need to be replaced with new mattresses as the ones there are worn out. New cooking pans also need to be replaced.
I would recommend this place for its beauty and location. Bring your own pots.

Great house for kids
Convenient location between Boone and Blowing Rock. There is not a mountain view but with a dog and small children we were thankful for minimal stairs and the large yard to play in. Secluded down somewhat overgrown driveway so very private and quiet. Tastefully decorated. Only complaint with cleanliness was everything was pretty significantly dusty, blinds, fans, furniture, lamps etc.

Great time!
We went to the cabin for a weekend getaway with family and friends, and we had a great time! The cabin looked just as the pictures advertised. Tons of room and beds for small children and bigger adults. Check-in and out was easy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we just went down the road for groceries. The refrigerator leaked some but nothing terrible. My only suggestion is if you plan on visiting, bring a flashlight. The fire pit is beautiful, but there are no lights out there to guide your steps and the path is rocky.

Beautiful & Comfortable
The house and surrounding area are beautiful! The yard was great for the kids to play and explore. We also took a scenic walk around the loop. Beds and sitting areas were comfortable. Kitchen was alright, but we did not do much cooking.
Overall the house was clean, however for a rental property I would encourage the owners to require a slightly more thorough cleaning. Specifically under the shelves in the kitchen, under the beds, etc. We had a baby with us who gets into everything...otherwise we never would have noticed.
We loved our time at Punky’s Place and would certainly consider staying here again!!

Punkeys Place.
We were disappointed that the screened porch was not heated as advertised. We had chosen this property with Covid in mind because that would hello us stay socially distanced. Without the heat, it was not warm enough to use. We also counted on the picnic table at the fire Pit, but it was not there.
Wet contacted the property manager, but he never called us back.

Great property for quiet, remote location.
The cabin was very nice and well kept. It was decorated nice, very comfortable and well furnished. There were a few small issues with cleanliness, but overall it was good. The sink in the downstairs secondary bathroom was blocked with hair and the master shower had a similar problem. Each light switch was labeled and that was very nice! Check in/out process was a breeze. The property was very private and quiet. There was rain and very heavy fog during our stay so it was difficult to traverse the mountain at night. Not a fault, just good to know if you have difficulty seeing.

Gorgeous cabin
We had a fabulous time staying at Punky’s Place in Boone, NC. Everything was great and the pictures were accurate of the cabin. The only 2 things I could comment on negatively was that the bathroom near the queen bedroom wasn’t cleaned throughly (we found a used washcloth left behind and the tub was dusty) and the tub was slow to drain which made it a slipping hazard when taking a bath. Other than that the stay was great!

It was a pleasant stay at the Cabin. I would recommend to get additional pool sticks for more players to be able to play more players at a time. I would also recommend to fix the sink and bathtub from the downstairs bathroom because it's clogged. Other than that everything was great and we had a wonderful time at the cabin. Perfect Place to Unwind
We went as a family of 11, ranging from 66 to 6! What a special place to make lasting memories as a family. This is our second year staying at this cabin. We hope to be there again in 2021. We have rented several cabins in years past. This is the cleanest and most accommodating place we have stayed. We loved the patriotic decor the new owners have added. Only thing I would recommend is decorations for the Christmas season. Love, love, love this time together in this warm cabin.

Bad weather but Great house!
We stayed 5 days/ 4 nights and had only 1 day without rain thanks to a hurricane! We live on the coast of NC so we are used to storms but had no idea we'd get rain from a storm in the mountains. But fortunately, Punkey's Place was a perfect place to enjoy downtime and relaxation. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out the well stocked kitchen was put to good use. The screen porch was amazing and our dogs had a blast playing and running in the beautiful yard. We bought firewood for the fantastic fire pit but sadly, never got to use it. We left it behind in hopes the next visitors would put it to good use. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet, out-of-the-way spot
We were two families with kids ranging from 9-20. It's a nice quiet spot. Bunnies, deer abound. Great for a weekend get-away. We spent most of our time at the fire pit out in the backyard. Perfect fall days for that.
We did not expect the steep gravel road to get to the house. The recent heavy rain had washed some of the gravel into mounds and we needed to put our cars in 2nd gear in all-wheel drive to get up to the house. It's a good 20 minutes into Boone and Blowing Rock. Blowing Rock definitely feels closer. The Blue Ridge parkway is only about 10 minutes away.
The master bedroom is HUGE. Other bedrooms are tight. We had a little trouble getting the code to unlock the door, but called the management company who very quickly reset the code and we were good for the rest of the weekend. If you are a cook, bring anything special. Kitchen gear was very minimal.

Overall, good rental & response from management. Some Light Bulbs were out & needed replacing. Upstairs beds were lumpy in places, found a 6" ring neck snake by the fireplace. Management advised of all of this.

Fantastic stay
We had such a wonderful time at Seven Up Cabin. 12 of us decided to run away from Florida for a week to escape COVID and after being stuck indoors for months and what an oasis this was! The cabin comfortably accommodated our group and had everything we needed. Though there weren't enough towels initially, I called the property management office and they quickly responded by sending someone over. The place was cleaned before we arrived and was very cozy. We cooked everyday, went for hikes, did mini excursions, grilled, rode bikes. Loads of fun!
A few things to note:
1. At this time of year, the bugs come out in droves at night. Plan on bringing some bug spray.
2. Also, we filled up the garbage bins pretty quickly. We were instructed to take the bins down to a dumpster in a plaza once it got full, but in Florida, that's illegal so we were afraid to do that. We noticed as a result that an animal (not sure what kind) would occasionally visit at night to scrummage through the garbage.
3. There is no cell service up there, the wifi is a bit slow, but the cable and videogames worked. It was a nice break from all the technology we are inundated with daily.
We would absolutely visit again!

nice but could be improved
We were given a check in code that did not work at all but management was easy to deal with.
The house is nice but needs a deep cleaning, all the blinds were dusty and had not been cleaned. Numerous empty beer cans were left by the fire pit by previous renters. It was obvious that this area is overlooked.
The rear porch has holes on the screen and bugs can get in. This area also needs cleaned and maintained. The rear exits are also extremely slick when wet and I am concerned that elderly renters could slip and injure themselves. I’m active and nearly took a tumble on this area of the home. The entryway rocks are also uneven and a trip hazard and I would worry about elderly people staying at this residence.
Also, several lamps or outlets were non functional in the home and could not be turned on.
This is a nice location but the property needs improvement.

NC vacation
Indoor:
Plenty of beds and space for a big group.
The interior was clean and comfortable. Since it rained some while we were there, this was good. Our kids enjoyed playing hide and seek in a new place with new hiding spots to find. 🙂�. The kitchen could use some potholders/hotpads and better pans, especially since I cooked all but one meal our entire stay. Cooking my daughter fried eggs each morning in a frying pan with a majority of the non-stick surface scratched off was not optimal. WiFi was slow; but we expected that and had “unplugged” for our stay.
Outdoor:
The outdoor areas, furniture, and corn hole were a disappointment. Not kept up or safe. Some broken chairs, lots of mildew and mold, etc. The deck areas needs normal maintainable and staining. We pretty much avoided the immediate outdoor area. We did enjoy walking the loop the house was on and did that daily. The lawn was cared for well. The lawn service came while we were there which was a bit noisy; but that is expected. .
Odd occurrence: We were called in the middle of our stay and asked by a realtor if the home could be shown. They kindly accepted our “no” as we were spread all over the house
Location: the location was great for the Blowing Rock and Boone area. We easily found places to hike, stores to visit, etc. the Blowing Rock and Boone down town areas are quaint. It was an easy drive to Grandfathers Mountain on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Overall a decent, relaxing stay. Thank you.

We enjoyed the house so much, & the yard is beautiful. The only problem we had was that the yard was infested with fleas. Some of us had tiny bites covering our legs. The screened in porch was also effected by fleas. It would be nice to have measuring spoons in the kitchen, and cleaning done before our arrival. Sorry I did not respond to your message about showing the house to potential buyers. We could probably have worked it out for when we went out. Unfortunately, I had given you my home phone number instead of cell.
