This is a lovely, central apartment and Dominique couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The rooms are big, warm and spacious with great views over the street. The location is perfect for exploring Ypres and visiting Menin Gate (9 min walk). Car parking is a 1 minute walk away in a safe, private, garage. This is the parking space Dominique normally uses for work, but she's happy to sacrifice it for guests. Entrance to the flat is through the framing shop itself, which was a fun addition to our stay.

There is a nightclub up the road that's open on Fridays and Saturdays until 5am and the music and noise can be a bit much throughout the night, so we'd recommend ear plugs. But it's not every night and we wouldn't let it put us off returning. The wooden stairs to get up to the flat (through the shop), and the wooden stairs in the apartment are steep and high, so this is not for anyone with mobility issues or serious height issues.

Stairs would be difficult for many but common in Europe. Pillows need updating :( Some late night noise on Friday with the bars nearby.

The location was beautiful. It was central to all of the historic buildings we wanted to see and an easy drive to the historic locations.

it was odd having to access the property by going through the shop, luckily when we unloaded and repacked the car the shop was closed so avoided having to carry out stuff past customers

The location is excellent, there is a bakery across the road for breakfast pastries or lunchtime baguettes. It’s really easy to walk everywhere. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and well fitted out. The hostess is friendly and helpful and speaks English. The communal garage with a dedicated parking space was really useful.

Just be aware that the stairs are steep!

Second stay for us. Location is excellent, clean, smart, well appointed, spacious, friendly and helpful owners. Large rooms. Excellent covered and secure parking a minute away. Difficult to fault what's offered. Definitely recommended for those visiting Ypres and Flanders😊.

Should you have mobility problems then be aware this apartment is accessed by open stairs and the stairway leading to the upper floor is steep and narrow. Also bear in mind that access is through the owner's shop. These were not issues for ourselves and we had a great stay.

The apartment is ideally situated and very clean. Dominique is a lovely host and provided us with all answers to our questions. The town square is only a two minute walk away. The secure garage where we were able to park our motorcycles was an added bonus which i wasn't expecting.

The location amd apartment are exceptional. The owners kindly came to guide us into Ypres as the streets were closed for a couple of days!

Lovely apartment in a great location. Hosts were amazing and couldn’t be more helpful. The parking is easy, secure and free.

Just be aware there are a lot of steep steps in the property which could be difficult for some with movement problems.

It was a bit close to some late night bar’s that stayed a bit noisy later on Saturday night but no problem with a pair of ear plugs👍 To be expected in such a central location

The apartment was really central in Ypres which was excellent and we found the parking in the owner's garage really handy. The apartment was charming and very spacious with huge bedrooms and bathroom! The owner was very friendly and relaxed and gave us a good restaurant recommendation.

We didn't find the bed particularly comfortable but that is a personal thing. The stairs up to the bedrooms were very steep but we soon got used to them.

Amazing holiday home. Lovely historic building, excellent location, very well appointed, clean, comfortable, fabulous host, secure indoor parking, lovely kitchen, lounges, bathroom, bedrooms, beds, views. Ideal for a spot of exploring in / around Ypres.

Nothing. Worth noting the accommodation is up stairs which may not be suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet but fine for anyone who is fine with stairs!

The one time I didn't bring any shower gel there weren't any complimentary gels in the bathroom🙄.
