NOVITÀ - Appena aperto. STONE EDGE è una bella e tranquilla proprietà situato in un bel giardino situato in una posizione privilegiata, vicino ai giardini botanici, "Il mulino" e Castlemaine Town.
La proprietà è costituita da una casa principale e due belle case in pietra arenaria "nord" e "sud". Questi due possono essere lasciato fuori separatamente o insieme. Entrambe le case hanno un letto king size che può essere convertito in pelo doppia e ognuno è unico nel carattere.
The North Cottage dispone di una lussuosa vasca idromassaggio in bagno e un camino in pietra arenaria splendido nel soggiorno. Perfetto per i mesi più freddi. Una stufa della cucina e del gas completamente attrezzata rende questo cottage ideale per soggiorni più lunghi o un week-end buongustai. Un ampio cortile privato scorre dalla camera da letto.
Il Sud Cottage dispone di un bel camino in pietra arenaria in camera da letto. Godere seduti accanto al fuoco o coccole a letto. Rilassatevi in un enorme doccia in stile romano in bagno. Lo spazio accogliente soggiorno dotato di angolo cottura e cortile esterno per godere.
Da Stone Edge a 20 min a piedi attraverso i celebri giardini botanici vi porta a "The Mill Castlemaine". Vagare l'eclettico Bazaar Vintage, controlla Piattaforma n ° 5 per mobili riciclati e merci, e gustare un pasto presso la caffetteria e torrefazione. Visita il Brewery & Taproom per una birra o sidro o Boomtown cantina cooperativa, o semplicemente godersi un gelato al "gelato sociale". Visita "The Bridge" o "The Railway" per un buon pasto pub locale.
Da unità bordo in pietra nel centro di Castlemaine .... 3 minuti .... per esplorare più caffè, ristoranti, pub, negozi, gallerie e restauratori Barn. In alternativa andare in bicicletta in 15 minuti attraverso i giardini botanici o passeggiata che in circa 35 minuti. Vi è anche un centro di informazioni fantastica in città. We had such a wonderful anniversary in the South Cottage. Every detail was delightful and the impeccable but cheerful lodgings are exceedingly comfortable. We won't spoil the treats from the hosts, but evidently all seasons and tastes are well catered for.
The stylish living area/couch is comfortably stacked with cosy cushions to relax, and the adjoining kitchen/meals is well equipped with all the utensils and condiments you need, plus some wonderful fresh produce surprises to make your breakfast sing. The bathroom is beautifully renovated and every amenity is thoughtfully considered.
Stepping up to the oversized ambient bedroom, we loved the music touch on arrival. The bed is super luxurious with more puffy cushions to devour in your sleep.
Our host, Jackie, is incredibly inviting and helpful but unobtrusive, with ideas for restaurants and adventures in Castlemaine. We took the slow pace as it was hot and walked into the Botanical Gardens. We dined at Wild and shopped at an amazing IGA for lunch produce to add to our fresh bread. Sitting on the front deck at dusk was a highlight for us, drinking in the peaceful beauty and native surrounds. There are also private outdoor/shaded pockets to sit but we relished the sun splashed deck.
We enjoyed The Mill, walking around the closed old Castlemaine Gaol (still lots of statues to see for free) and the lovely history of the buildings. So much to see!
We strongly recommend this to others. You can even park close to your cottage.

Perfect getaway. All boxes ticked, location, comfy bed , super clean , great vibe and unexpected beautiful breakfast. If you think Castlemaine maybe then think definitely..

The property itself is lovely stone cottage (does what it says on the box). Gardens are lovely. Generous provisions for tea coffee breakfast appreciated. Lovely setting close to bush very quiet. And a massive open fire suitable for whiskey, port or just gazing wistfully. A credit to the builders/owners care and attention to detail

Wow wow wow is all I can say. The cottage is in a peaceful setting on the outskirts of Castlemaine, close enough but quiet enough. It is cosy, perfect for two and exquisitely furnished with Chinese/Mongolian antique pieces. Every need is contemplated for by the hostess Jacki. Her communication is amazing and very prompt. Directions are clear so it was easy to find her property on a dark, rainy evening. The bed is extremely comfy and made with beautiful linens. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well provisioned. A sumptuous breakfast with home grown tomatoes with many extra snacks was provided. We had a wonderful restful weekend and will love to visit again.

This property is just gorgeous and everything you would want for a weekend getaway.

Delightful Stone Cottage
We stayed a wonderful week and thoroughly enjoyed Castlemaine and the cottage, in all weather conditions. Our Stone cottage was the smaller of the two however it was full of personality. The open fire in the bedroom was very cosy. Jackie and David were the perfect hosts. We were greeted with an unexpected, generous supply of food in our fridge and pantry. They welcomed us to enjoy their gorgeous gardens that surround their home. Excellent suggestions for activities and places to eat were made. We will return.
FYI: The cottage only has a shower, no bath. Further out of town than expected however bikes are supplied.

Beautiful cottage only a couple of minutes by car from Castlemaine. Jackie has thought of everything you'd need. Breakfast provisions (bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, sourdough), fruit, milk, etc. Very cosy and comfortable place to stay. Highly recommended.
