the hotel is beautifully, nice design and beautiful common areas. breakfast was very good ! it’s well located in the center, if you’re looking to stay close to Asunción historic buildings it’s the place to go . the hotel staff provided support when finding a tour to visit surrounding towns.

Reception staff is not very warm when welcome nor provide information about the city itself. be careful when charging food or drinks to the room as we got charged things we didn’t asked for. we were given a very small room although the hotel was clearly not fully booked, the room didn’t even have a desk (unlike the picture in booking)

The place to stay in Asuncion while visiting. Staff were very friendly and the hotel itself is beautiful. Amenities include a rooftop pool, decent fitness center and breakfast is included in the cost of your room rate. Rates are reasonable as Paraguay is a budget friendly country, so feel like you are splurging on accommodation without breaking the bank.

Fitness center could be improved as it is simple but it does the job.

They let us check in much earlier than the check in time. The breakfast is super. Lunch and dinner are also high quality with reasonable price.

Lovely hotel. The accommodation was superb. The food in the restaurant was excellent and great value for money. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Great location.

The location is perfect to visit the old part of Asuncion. Staff are very kind and helpful, in particular the night Concierge, Mr Jorge. The old part of the building had been carefully restored and reminds of a bygone era. The roof-top with swimming pool and good views of the city and of the river is definitely a plus.

Be warned - if you are not bothered about paying more than the advertised price leading to a frustrating battle with unhelpful staff members who prefer to try and pass the responsibility of resolving your problems to others, then you are likely to enjoy this nicely decorated hotel in its central yet quiet location with a pretty decent breakfast buffet and nice views from the roof.

The problem that let down our stay at this hotel was the deceptive way they charged us differently to the stated price on booking.com, and then followed this up when challenged with terrible customer service which left an overall poor impression on what others have said to be one of the best hotels in Asunción. In summary, the hotel charged the card used to hold the booking with a higher amount than expected before arrival, took a long time to even find the payment at check in requesting us to pay again, and when challenged on the amount (thinking perhaps a security deposit had inflated the price) eventually admitted that a 10% tax had been charged instead of the 5% stated online, plus the room rate had been converted using a grossly inflated exchange rate from USD into Paraguayan Guaraní and we were not able to pay the cheaper USD price, meaning in effect the hotel had added around 10% on top of our stay total. This led to poor service and broken promises of following up and getting back to us, and blaming this website when the hotel has full control on the amount of taxes posted and is clearly using this tactic to appear more economical than other similar hotels. On checkout a staff member finally took interest and apologised, agreeing to refund the extra charges which we were told would take a few days. The amount was agreed and signed - yet the refund when it arrived later in the week was for just 60% of the agreed amount. I am not happy with the way this hotel first overcharged, then tried to pass the blame and make the whole process difficult in order that we give up, and even at the last moment fall back on what we had agreed, presuming the effort of following up the missing part to be too great for me to bother with. This whole situation could have been handled differently right from check in, perhaps with an apology and proactive solutions, such as matching the amount in the confirmation email or even offering a slightly higher amount as bar credit, for eg.

lots of noise from the lobby (tables/chairs being scraped on marble floor) through the night and early hours, could head the cleaners with their trolleys in the room and the pillows were too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on
