Barbaro is a very warm and welcoming hostess! All comforts of home are provided, access to wood and the fire-ring near the water are great features! The quite neighborhood makes the 15-minute-drive to Sturgeon Bay so worth it! We will definitely consider booking a stay here again in the future, we truly enjoyed our stay!

I've stayed at a ton of VRBO's and I have never rated them all 5 stars. They thought of everything in this one. It was a wonderful place. The only thing I would like people to know is that the roll-a-ways in the 2nd bedroom would not work for a larger person. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We could not have asked for a more comfortable place to stay, better location, or more welcoming host. In this cozy stuga, Barbaro appears to have thought of everything. Full access to their waterfront and firepit, and a quiet neighborhood that is still convenient to the state park, Sturgeon Bay, and everything up the coast. Cannot think of a single gripe, and the rate is more than fair for such a lovely property. (With a separate half bath for our kids, even!)

Was a relaxing place to stay while exploring Door County. The stuga was comfortable and had everything we needed. Enjoyed watching a beautiful sunset at night from the shore.

We loved our stay in the cottage! We could not think of anything else that we could have needed or wanted to make our stay more comfortable or enjoyable. Barbro is an amazing host and has truly thought of everything! The highlight for us was the bonfire in front of the beautiful water. Very nice cottage with everything i needed, books, games, outside games, fire ring and a comfy bed to sleep in. I would have liked easier access to the lake as the slippery rocks msde getting my kayak from the yard to the water difficult. Very close to sturgeon bay, sister bay, and many other sites.

Loved exploring Door County! While this location isn't as centrally located as I'd hoped, but it was such a great cottage and so peaceful I'd definitely stay again!! :)

The check-in procedure could have been explained a little better, but other than that, this place is ideal. If you want to get away from the crowds and noise and have beautiful views of the bay, this place is heaven. It is small, but very cozy and I would have loved to spent some time curled up reading some of the books on the bookshelf! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I usually stay in Sister Bay but wanted to mix things up this time. We had a great time exploring Sturgeon Bay & nearby hiking at Potawatami State Park. This house has everything you need and it is in a great location. Barbro is a great host and provided everything we needed. I recommend you book this for a stay.

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay. 4 friends up for a fishing tournament and it was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, close to the water and and the owner was extremely nice. We will definitely be coming back!

Convenient location super clean property and great owner

The host was welcoming, the property is beautiful with its waterfront location, and the stuga provided 4 adults with a homey atmosphere. The location also was a great home base for exploring the rest of Door County.

The pictures provided on the website do not do this rental justice. The cottage is extremely comfortable and clean. I have never rented where so much care and thought was provided for the comfort of the guest. I felt like I was staying in a family members guesthouse. I The kitchen was stocked with basic needs and a fresh bag of Swedish coffee! There were plenty of towels both Bath and beach as well as shampoo conditioner and body wash. There was an outside sitting area just for renters that was very comfortable. We had access to the lake shore. It was a very beautiful setting. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset on our last night and a roaring fire. The owner Barbro was very kind and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

This cottage was very charming and clean. I loved the Swedish decor ! Guests' needs were thoughtfully provided for and that included suggestions for places to go and things to do while there. I liked that it was in a quiet area but not far from Sturgeon Bay

Searched for a place where my mother and her daughters could relax, chat, feel cozy and cumfy, as well as have spectacular views and sunsets. We found everything on our list here. The four of us had a lovely time connecting and creating memories. Covid really left us disconnected and super bummed, especially my mother who lives by herself. The reconnections made through coffee chats, lemonade sunsets and wine cards games at nights were a great reminder of what is important in life.Thank you Barbro, for all the thoughtful touches and checking on us and making sure all was good. Highly highly recommend!

The stuga itself was adorable, clean and perfect for a couple, family or group of friends. Everything you would think of needing Barbro had including tips on places to go, when/where local farmers markets were and even restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the setting. Very close to the water and beautiful sunsets! We loved getting up and taking a walk along the tree lined roads. The owner was very kind and helpful and the “stuga” had everything we needed.

This was just what we were looking for. Plenty of room for the three of us on our girls weekend trip! Anything and everything you could ever need was stocked in the house… including s’mores makings. There was a fire ring in the yard (with all you needed to a beautiful fire) on Green Bay just about 30 yards from the cottage. The sunset was amazing. Perfect distance from Door County wineries and cherry picking. Barbro was available when we arrived and departed. We didn’t need her in between (but we could reach her if needed). This cottage was so cozy and beautiful!! We will be returning one day!!

We really enjoyed our three day stay at this lovely place. It was a little tricky to find but we liked it being out of the way for quiet and times to walk/run. She gave us some very good suggestions about places to visit and things to do. We really liked the Swedish touch!

After a year of teaching in a pandemic, we needed to decompress and focus on our health. This was the perfect place to make that happen. Bright, cheery, clean, comfortable and gorgeous sunsets! We spent time just hanging out on the property, but also explored Door County and all it has to offer. With this being a little off the beaten path, it was nice to leave Door County behind too! It was a perfect getaway and the owners have thought off everything!

Everything anyone could want, and even more. A refreshing, peaceful escape.

My wife and I were going to do the Door County Century on the 13th, but it was canceled, and we elected to go forward with our vacation. We were so glad we did!The property owner, Barbro was extremely helpful and friendly, in guiding us on various things to do in the area, and offered a great historic overview of the area. We were very surprised by how wonderful this 2 bedroom cottage was. It was extremely well appointed with pots, pans, dishes and a wealth of other items such as spices and seasonings. Everything was there.The only thing missing was your food items, drinks and snacks.The property was right on Green Bay, and lounge chairs were provided, along with a fire pit right on the lake shore. The sunsets were beautiful, and the property was a very quite getaway retreat.The 1,200 acre Potawatomi State Park is only a few miles away. One can rent bikes, kayaks, boats, bikes and other equipment and the hiking is fantastic.The City of Sturgeon Bay is only 7 miles away with a wealth of museums, art galleries, and shopping to enjoy.The cottage was wonderful and it allowed us to experience the Best of Door County.A five star vacation experience. We loved it!

Perfect for our getaway. One bedroom with kids beds perfect for the small kids. Good space and well decorated! Wish there was a bit more space for a suitcase but overall had everything we needed. Nice quiet neighborhood and use of yard and fire ring is perfect for evening sunsets!
