This is a dream location, and a perfect beach house for a casual family beach vacation. We spent every day on the beach, and some evening walks too. The house was fresh and clean, and we had all the basic needs covered. Beyond the basics, the porch with both ocean and marsh views. We loved the hammock placement, the nature views, and tons of wildlife sightings. We even saw two deer running behind the house. The community is quiet and peaceful. The house was precisely as described and reviewed by others!

Nice little beach cottage great location. Property is looking a little down at the heels, clean but worn. Maybe that's a consequence of ocean front. Could use a face lift.
I continue to resent the high VRBO booking fees - absolutely no value added. This is independent of the property, of course.

The house had an amazing view from the front and back porch. The beds were comfortable, house was clean, and it was not far from center street. We enjoyed our stay.

Directions, access, layout, front and back / side ocean view patios deck, well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need to cook for the family. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped with blankets, towels, ect.
The rockers on the front patio were a perfect setting to watch the sunrise, surfers and the ocean waves. We'll definitely be back to this spot; like i said,, it's home away from home.

The house was quite spacious with a great view of the washout. The house was also well stocked and clean. The only thing I would mention is that the third bathroom is outside. That is not immediately clear in the description unless you read till the last sentence. Also there is no dishwasher.

Truly a great location. We had issues with the heating and had to leave a couple of days early, but that was no fault of the owner's/manager's. If ever we come back to Folly Beach, we'll definitely be staying here.

We were very happy with our stay at Foose's Folly! The online pictures did not do justice to the view you had of the ocean and the marsh behind the house. We thought the street in front would be a bother potentially, but it was not at all. Safe to walk across to the beach and did not disrupt the view from the porch. The house was great!

This place was wonderful. It had all the comforts of home with the added bonus of waking up to the tranquil sound of the waves crashing on the beach and watching the sunrise. We spent many hours sitting on the porch rocking chairs enjoying the view and relaxing.
The restaurants & shops of Folly Beach are just down the road and its a short drive if you want to spend time in the heart of Charleston or explore many of the top attractions in the area.
Check-in was straightforward & easy. We appreciated the bag of necessities (paper towels, dish & hand soap, etc) and the book of information of the area was very helpful.
Would definitely want to stay here again in the future

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Foose’s Folly. The view from the front deck was just spectacular along with the soothing sounds of the crashing surf. Sunrise and sunset can also be captured from this spot. House was cozy and immaculate. The town of Folly Beach is adorable with easy access to Charleston and surrounding areas. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We hope to return some day when the weather is just a bit warmer.

This house has it all. Space inside, the best porches, views, and very clean. We decided to get away (my daughters and I) for New Year’s and Folly Beach’s Flip Flop Drop was did not disappoint! We had a great rime. My favorite was the porch. Even in the fog, it was nice to sit out and drink coffee and watch the surfer’s at the washout.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Beds were very comfortable, entrance was flawless, views terrific. Probably need to fix or replace the stove. We missed a hair dryer, but would stay here again!

We had a short but fun filled weekend ! We will be back :)) loved sitting on the deck and watching the waves and dolphins .. kids loved the hammock on back deck .. such a great place to relax and get away ! So glad I tried VRBO!

Beautiful spot- gorgeous sunrises. Easy to work with and very attentive and available. Disappointed that all the add ons fees pretty much doubled the advertised cost

This location was great. Views were amazing. A few of the doors/locks weren’t working great. Actually two of us got stuck in the bedroom and we had to call maintenance. They did come and fix it but we were stuck for a few hours. Other than that it is a perfect vacation spot for a family

Great house for a family vacation. Amazing location. Watched winter surfers take on some storm waves. This house would be perfect in the summer. Clean and roomy.

Fantastic location, unbeatable view!
We spent a fantastic long weekend and really enjoyed the house. The view from the front desk is amazing and sitting on the rocking chairs, watching the surfers and the pelicans was very relaxing. The house is well equipped, very clean, and nicely decorated. We would love to come back at a warmer time of the year so that we can enjoy swimming in the ocean.
In short, we really enjoyed our stay and hope we will be able to come back soon!

October at Folly
We had a wonderful time! The house had very nice outdoor space in both the front and back. Inside suited us well -clean, neat and plenty of space for 2 couples. We cooked delicious seafood (from Crosby's Fish & Shrimp Co) for dinner each night -kitchen well equipped with all the utensil, pots and pans we needed.

Amazing Views!!!
This home’s views are even better than the pictures! The home is directly across from “the washout,” a great section tor surfing in Charleston. There are dolphins to watch off the front porch, and it is an easy walk across the street to the beach. The back of the home has a deck with gorgeous marsh views as well. The home itself is extremely clean and well-maintained. I hope to stay here again and would recommend to anyone!!

Wonderful Location and Views
Foose’s Folly was perfect for our beach getaway. The house is location is amazing, across the street from the ocean and with decks on the front and back offering beautiful views of both the River and ocean. The house was well equipped with cooking ware, toiletries, towels and everything we needed!It was also very clean and located within 20 minutes of Charleston and Sullivan island ( lots of eateries on a creek with water views). There were also plenty of restaurants on Folly as well as a great little market (Bert’s) that had everything you could need (deli, desserts, groceries, wine and beer etc) within 2 miles of the house.
We enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch and cocktails on the back porch in the afternoon. There was plenty of comfortable chairs and a hammock on the deck. The beds were all very comfortable and rooms were a good size. Having a washer and dryer was also a big plus. The remote keyless entry was also a nice feature (no keys to remember).
We loved this place and would stay again when in the area!

This charming house checked literally every single box for me and my son. Location, location, location rules the day without any doubt. We will certainly be back and cannot wait to stay here in the future. A+ for everything!!!

Perfect location for a peaceful stay

Amazing outdoor space
Wonderful space to enjoy being outside. There is a deck or patio for whatever you seek… sun, shade, view, breeze, beach.. you’ve got it. Surfers and dolphins to watch daily. Decks were amazing. The outside space was even better than the inside.
It is an older home with some quirks and some bugs, but that is the case with most trips to the beach. View from inside wasn’t much but that was due to all the beach spray on the windows, just go outside. Check in was easy. We loved the ease of the electronic lock… no keys at the beach is genius. Everyone had plenty of space to be together or find solitude. The neighborhood is busy, but still very relaxing. Surf lessons or toys to rent are all conveniently located nearby. Great food and shopping on the island. Wonderful place for a family to enjoy the beach, the surf, the city, or just sit on the deck and enjoy the view. Convenient to everything. We went to the James Island County Park and played one day… amazing place to visit as well.

Wonderful stay!
The house is open and airy. It’s very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. The views are spectacular and the decks are phenomenal. There is comfortable seating on both decks and the views of the marsh and ocean are ideal. Having a grill, covered porches, beach access across the street, and a comfy bed made for a perfect vacation. The street lights at night are disappointing for star gazing, but that is the only downside. We were thrilled with the property and hope to return soon!

Rent for the View
Best part is the view. Avoid weekends as traffic is heavy and noise from cars and people distracting. Property is okay. Showers are average and have low water pressure. HVAC is marginal with back bedroom not very cool. Box fans provided to circulate air. Bedding and beds are okay. Adequate kitchen amenities. Outdoor areas are nice. Most windows do not have screens and do not remain open. Would have been nice to open the place up and enjoy the ocean waves.

Foose's Folly Island Anniversary
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay when choosing Foose's Folly!! We were so impressed with the beach house and the surroundings were impeccable. You could have spent all your time at the house and beach and never went anywhere else if you so desired. It was so fun watching all the surfers and people on the beach, right from our rental house! However, the location was amazing. It was close to great food and shopping on Folly beach but it was also about 20 minutes to downtown Charleston, John's Island etc. It was the perfect location! The rental was just as the pictures showed in the listing, perfect location, great hospitality, clean and the check-in process was easy! Highly recommend Foose's Folly if anyone is looking to stay in the Charleston area.

Loved that we had the ocean in front of us and the creeks behind us. I only wish we would have had some access to the creeks. The house was comfortable and clean.

Weekend to Refresh
This was a wonderful property. It was very clean, well appointed, comfortable, cozy, and the porch was fabulous. It was a wonderful place to relax, visit, read, and watch the surfers and kiteboarders. Everything we needed was right there and beach access was right across the street.

Great location
This property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our family of four. The location directly across from Folly Beach’s “Washout” beach was perfect for us because we love to surf and the break is awesome there. It was so convenient and fun for us! The views from the huge porch in the back of the marsh are also amazing and it was so relaxing to sit back there in the evenings. Overall this is a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our time there!
