We have been vacationing using VRBO for years and by far, Beth has been the most communicative. She answered all of my questions before deciding on Contentment, during and after. The house was beautiful and perfect for our family of six adults and three young ladies. The girls loved going to the beach or swimming in the pool. The adults loved having coffee and wine overlooking the ocean. Even with a little tropical storm (Debby) the time was spent with games or puzzles. We all enjoyed ourselves!

Contentment on the Beach is an understatement to say the least. My family , daughters, sons in laws and 3 grandchildren just returned from a lovely week in Holden Beach.
Coming into this lovely house was like coming home. A beautiful note along with a special seashell ornament was waiting for us on the kitchen counter.
I have been to many rentals over the years and I have to say that Beth went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
I hope that all her future tenents will have as wonderful a stay as we had.
And l don’t want to forget the salt water pool. It was so much fun having water fights with our grandkids.
The memories we made are priceless.

This was our family’s first beach house and Holden Beach experience. We’ve always stayed in condos in Myrtle Beach but with 3 babies 6 months and younger, we decided it might be best to try something a little more low key. We are so thankful we did! Contentment On The Beach did not disappoint! The house is BEAUTIFUL! It has EVERYTHING you need and more. Our 4 year old grandson LOVED the pool! And this nana loved all the grandbaby snuggles in the rockers on two different decks. The view was spectacular as well. I can’t say enough good things about the owner, Beth. She sent me numerous emails giving advice on places to eat and things to experience. Thank you, Beth & Bill for sharing your home with us.

We’ve stayed at many beach homes across many beaches. This home was one of the best stocked for kitchen appliances and other home essentials that are needed during your stay. You can tell the owners care about your experience and check in to make sure to have everything you need!

Holden Beach and this house are the perfect place to stay for a young family! Our baby monitor (Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro) reached all the way from the house to the ocean (literally with our feet in the ocean) which made it easy to enjoy nap time. Our 3 year old loved the pool and the shallow beach front. You get a sunrise and sunset view in October which made for a beautiful morning and evening. There are some great restaurants and ice cream shops in the area, but the kitchen is also well stocked to enjoy meals at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

This property was clean and as described. The private access to the ocean was awesome! The kids spent a lot of time in the heated pool. There are a lot of golf courses close by as well as great places to eat. I would recommend this rental property and hope to stay here again.

We had such a great stay. The property is beautiful and right on the beach! It was definitely worth having the pool heated. The beds were comfy and the kitchen very well stocked. I highly recommend staying there and I hope we will again in the future.

What's the best kind of service? The one that you don't actually have to call, of course.
The house was clean, had good running water, no power issues, the pool was ready for use, there were beach chairs and toys neatly stored in a container in the backyard for use, the kitchen has pots and pans as well as knives, forks, spoons etc. that'll meet most people's needs.
We were happy with the home, the easy beach access etc.
Would definitely recommend.

My wife and extended family of kids and grand kids enjoyed our stay here on Holden Beach. Property was clean and pool and beach access were great. Beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. Only drawback is nothing really within walking distance. But it was just a short drive to shop, mini golf, and ice cream!!. Over all we had a wonderful time during our stay,

The house is great, very attractive and fully equipped. The location on the beach is outstanding and the pool was great. All of our kids and grandkids were together and we appreciated the large dining table and the wonderful decks where everyone could gather. I appreciated Beth's fast responses to questions and her updates prior to, and during our stay.

you really need to go to contentment...for our large family we are so content to just stay there(have been) at least 3 times. It has everything from the kitchen right up to the comfortable and beautifully decorated bedrooms.I can not completely describe the feeling I get just looking out those large windows and to have the beach right there in front of you is priceless. and you put a pool in ! who would ever think it was a bonus! My boys are in it morning noon and nite even in the rain!!!! we will always request contentment when going to Holden Beach! and Beth is very easy to talk to.

My family stayed at contentment on the beach over the week of the Fourth of July. The house is beautiful. The beach was fabulous. Beth was quick to respond to any questions that we had. The pool was a nice relief from the sand and the surf. Easy check in and check out and even with our many changes prior to arriving Beth worked with us. Hopefully our family will come back here for years to come. I highly recommend to a family who wants to spend a wonderful time at the beach.

Our stay at Contentment was fantastic. The property is right on the beach with a pool big enough to enjoy with the family and kids. We didn't stay inside much but it had everything all 8 adults and 4 kids needed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to eat and cook. Beth's communication was spot on to tell us about Holden Beach and all the things to do. If you like ice cream this is the place for you! It's also a great place for shells and hunting for shark teeth. We found a lot! Definitely recommend this property.

This home offers a relaxing, beautiful, and comfortable experience right on the beach! The lovely beach views from the two back porches were perfect for early coffee, afternoon reading, and dolphin watching. The house was clean and spacious! The kitchen was fantastic, and accommodated our entire family for sweet and memorable family meals. We loved hunting for shells and walking on the uncrowded beach. A great find for our family! The house was perfect. It was very clean and in great shape, and there was room for everyone to spread out. We had toddlers with us, so we appreciated the toddler gates on the second level deck. It allowed the kids to play outside safely without us worrying about them falling down the steps.
The house is directly on the beach, and the boardwalk to the beach has been replaced recently and makes for an easy walk. The new pool was amazing. We truly enjoyed it, and Beth was great about making sure that the pool was heated to a comfortable level for us. The kitchen is beautiful and is well stocked with dishes and appliances. They even had beach toys downstairs that the kids used to play in the sand.
Beth could not have been nicer. She reacted quickly to every question that I had before and during our visit. We have stayed in other houses that did kit have such attentive owners, so we truly appreciated this.

We couldn’t have asked for a better home to spend the week with our family! The views from the house did not disappoint; the short walk onto the beach was so easy with the new walkway. The kitchen was well equipped for our at home meals we prepared and enjoyed at the table big enough to accommodate our entire family! This area is perfect for quality family time without leaving the beach! There are ice cream shops and restaurants within walking distance also. The pool was an added bonus and so nice ! This made for a relaxing afternoon after being on the beach all day! I cannot say enough about the personal touch and care the owners provided during our stay. Contentment was the perfect place for our multi-generation vacation. Kitchen was well stocked, pool was amazing, and the beach was right out our front door. Beth was extremely responsive to any questions. I would highly recommend it for a family vacation.

We had a wonderful week celebrating our 40th anniversary with our kids and grandkids! Beth was great to work with. She even had a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the counter when we arrived! She shared so much information about the beach house and also included info about restaurants and activities. We enjoyed a meal at Provision Co and picked up a dinner from The Cove, their scallops were delicious! It was very helpful to be prepared when planning our week. We had twelve in our group and two were babies so we pretty much stayed at the beach house the whole week. It was soooo fantastic to be right on the beach and be able to see the beach and ocean so well from the rocking chairs on the decks. We found lots of pretty shells and some very cool shark teeth. The kids also really enjoyed the pool. I highly recommend Contentment On The Beach and Beth is one of the best managers I’ve dealt with which makes the whole vacation experience a joy.😎

First time we rented a house for a family vacation and we were not disappointed. The location of the house and the private access directly to the beach, along with beautiful views of the ocean from the wall of picture windows were amazing. Among other things, we enjoyed the surf, spending quality time together on the porch rocking chairs and having fun with both the adults and grandchildren in the new saltwater pool in the afternoons. The submerged shelf ledge in the pool allowed adults to sit and children to both walk along and jump into the pool. There was plenty of seating on the pool deck as well.
The house easily accommodated our family of six adults and four children under age seven. We were all able to have meals together at one large table and the open floor plan was a plus for keeping an eye on the children. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were ample in size.
The owners went above and beyond communicating with us both before and during our stay.
We definitely recommend this beach house and hope you enjoy making as many wonderful memories as we did!

Lovely home
This rental was just as listed. The oceanfront decks and pool were perfect for relaxing after a day on the beach. The house was nicely decorated and clean. Our family of 11 had plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen was well stocked. The owner was fabulous to work with and responded quickly to emails/texts. We would definitely consider staying here again :)

Perfect location, not a crowded area of the beach. Very clean. Beautiful views of the ocean with ample outdoor seating. The homeowners were friendly and easy to reach for any questions or concerns. Lots of seating around the dining room table and the kitchen island for family meals.

Great week in this lovely beachfront home!
We spent a lovely week at Contentment! The property was as described and the hosts were communicative and informative. The house was clean and kitchen stocked well with necessary dishware and appliances. The two bedrooms on the main floor had attached baths and 2/4 bedrooms upstairs had attached baths and the description of the property was helpful when we booked so we could plan for adult and kid rooms. We loved the view from the windows, the deck, the pool, and the easy walk out to the beach! We also really enjoyed searching for shells and had a great experience fishing with Ollie Raja Charters. The easy communication with the hosts and comfort of the house have hooked us, and we will be back to Holden Beach!

Very relaxing home.
There were 8 adults and a 2 year old. The house was perfect for us. The view of the ocean was spectacular. There was easy access to the beach for the morning beach time, then a pool for the mid afternoon swim and back to the beach after dinner. It was an easy walk to Haley’s Ice Cream (yummy) on the beach (or drive). For the night you want to eat out out The Dock House served excellent seafood. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a really good time!

Wonderful house - perfect for family vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Contentment on the Beach. Reservation was easy and the owners communicated with us regularly and effectively, prior to arrival, to answer all of our questions. They also sent us information about local events that would occur during our stay. The house was nicely decorated and it had the best equipped kitchen we've ever had in a beach house. Plenty of seating on the porches and around the pool; we really liked the rocking chairs. We enjoyed the new pool and the design of having a submerged shelf around the pool was especially nice for the grandkids. The property was very clean and everything was in good shape. The upstairs bedroom/bathroom configuration worked well for us as we used the bedrooms that didn't have baths as rooms for the grandkids. Access to the beach was easy and the beach was well maintained and not crowded. Bottom line - it was a great place to have our vacation with the extended family.

Wonderful place to stay!
Our family had a wonderful week at Contentment on the Beach. Everything was lovely-- easy to get right out onto the beach and of course, wonderful views. The pool was not huge but is very well done and perfect for our family of 10; with two toddlers we were very pleased with the gates/safety. The kitchen was well-appointed and the living area very comfortable and lacking for nothing. The owners were also helpful, knowledgeable, and communicative. Do pay attention to the listing's description of the bathrooms but as long as the setup works for your family/group, I can't imagine a more lovely home for a Holden Beach vacation.

words are not sufficient you really need to experience contentment on the beach our second time! home is extraordinary everything needed to relax and now beth and bill added a pool! not only do you have the oceanfront sand and sun when too windy you have pool time! so relaxing whole family goes plenty of room and many sad faces when its time to leave but many happy memories thanks hope to be back next year

Enjoyable week at Holden for our multigenerational family vacation. Clean and comfortable with well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds make for a good nights sleep. Great beachfront location. Contentment on the Beach is a beautiful oceanfront home. There were a couple of odd things. Two of the bedrooms upstairs have no attached or even common bath. You must walk through another individual's room to get to bathroom. The owner's alerted us to that fact, and as girlfriends who have known each other over 30 years and traveled together frequently, it was a non issue. The other oddity was the disconnect from the stairs leaving the back deck to the boardwalk leading to the beach. Added extra steps, which for this specific trip was fine since most everyone's knees are good at this time.All in all, a beautiful home with everything you need. Loved the double porch on the oceanside. Beth was also very personable, kept us up to date on things happening on and near Holden Beach!

Contentment on the Beach is a beautiful oceanfront home. There were a couple of odd things. Two of the bedrooms upstairs have no attached or even common bath. You must walk through another individual's room to get to bathroom. The owner's alerted us to that fact, and as girlfriends who have known each other over 30 years and traveled together frequently, it was a non issue. The other oddity was the disconnect from the stairs leaving the back deck to the boardwalk leading to the beach. Added extra steps, which for this specific trip was fine since most everyone's knees are good at this time.
All in all, a beautiful home with everything you need. Loved the double porch on the oceanside. Beth was also very personable, kept us up to date on things happening on and near Holden Beach!
