Fantastic location both for beach access and driving to and from area restaurants and shops. You set up your beach gear in the morning and can go back and forth just over the dunes to this beachfront home all day long. Newer furnishings and appliances, beautiful oceanfront views and the convenient location made for a great vacation with friends.

We loved our stay in your home! It had very nice views from all rooms. We also enjoyed the fenced in area under deck. It was great with our dogs! Property owner very responsive to all needs and very friendly! We will definitely stay again!

We’ve stayed here before and were looking forward to another vacation here, but hurricane Ian had other plans. Caused our plans to be canceled due to damage at the house. Nobody’s fault but Mother Nature! Fortunately the homeowners were communicating with us often, letting us know what was happening, and messaged to cancel as soon as it was apparent the house was unusable. We got a full refund quickly and i was able to get another location on another beach pretty quick so we only lost a day. I’m sorry things worked out the way they did but these things happen!

Well, let me begin by saying that the only good thing about this house is it’s location! Upon arriving the owner/manager told us that she’d give us a code to get in… an hour and a half later while sitting out in the heat she tells us the door is unlocked! The owner’s excuse was she was flying and unable to reach us ! Wouldn’t a responsible person, who travels often I’m told, plan ahead and let the guests know codes beforehand 🤷‍♀️ If tables were turned and we were an hour and a half late leaving… we’d be charged! The carpets and tile floors are hideous! We had to dust night stands etc ourselves! Two “bedrooms “ have no closets 🤷‍♀️ If you plan to eat in the house bring your own dishes etc. There are 2 glasses, 1 wine glass and a few coffee cups! There’s not a complete set of silverware and the pans are so awful even bacon sticks to them! In one downstairs bathroom there is terribly moldy vent ! So in this case you DON’T get what you pay for!!!

The property is in need of a lot of safety repairs loose railings ,nails exposed on decks, furniture was very dirty. I had to vacuum the place before we used any of the furniture. Stains on rugs then I was charged to have them cleaned. Doubt it was though. All pots and pans had loose or broken handles we also had to wash all the dishes when we arrived because they were greasy and dirty. There was mold in one of the bathrooms and a vent by the front door that just dripped water. We left the house cleaner than we found it and the home owner charged me for emergency carpet cleaning claiming my dog pooped all over the upstairs and downstairs which is not true my dog is house trained very well. Watch out for this one they are trying to get the renters to pay for repairs that they need to do. If they can’t afford to rent it and keep up with basic maintenance they should probably sell it. I am not the first person to have this problem with them from what I have seen I. Reviews. Stay away from this one and Vrbo should think about canceling their contract with them because they are scamming good people just trying to have a vacation.

There were a few things mentioned in the listing that were not available when we arrived such as a grill and kayak but nothing major. Location is great and we would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic views from upper and lower deck and dunes do not block view. Due to the height of the upper deck you can see the beach far to the north and south. You can view ocean from your bed in 2 of the bedrooms. The other bedrooms have sunset views. The beds and living room furniture are comfy. The beds look and feel brand new. The house was and smelled clean. We brought our own grill, kayaks and beach chairs but there were plenty of beach chairs provided with 2 umbrellas.

Easy rental process, manager fixed one issue very quickly. Awesome location.

Everything was great except for one issue not resolved

We booked about 2months out. So these issues shouldn’t have happened. They need a property manager. Dishwasher did not work the ENTIRE week we were there. We got there on a Saturday and the hot tub did not work until Tuesday NIGHT. We should have gotten a discount, but the location and house are great.

This was the perfect house for us and what we were after for a spring break in the outer banks. The house was a little smaller than we expected (given that we had two dog crates to set up), but it worked. Awesome beach views, comfortable bedrooms, easy access to nearby restaurants. Would highly recommend.

The view is amazing and and everything is a little worn but fine.

The views from every rooms window and door were amazing. The location was convenient with personal access to the beach and easy access to shopping and restaurants. However, the general cleanliness was poor, I.e.; dishes, greasy pots/pans, shelves, dusty pictures/lamps/lampshades, lint/dirt inside of washer/ dryer

This house is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. It was filthy. All bathrooms had inner shower curtains with mold and mildew. We didn’t bathe until they were changed. The upper balcony is not safe. 2 metal rods fell off the rail. Owner knew and no repairs were made the 2 weeks we were there. The rest of the rods were all loose. We were charged for a nail in their drywall and a chip on the table. The owner,himself put up the nail in the wall to block the sun from the 1st floor bedroom. We were Charges for urine, vomit and stains from our dog. There are many stains on the carpet, and the 3rd bedroom carpet was soaked in water. The dressers were very old and did not open and close without a lot of work. The layout of the house is great, the views made it worth putting up with our list of complaints until they charged us $150 for things we did NOT do. We have been using VRBO for 20 years and have NEVER been charged for damage and repairs. Needless to say we Will NOT go back and would never refer anyon to go their.

2nd time staying here and you can not keep us away for a 3rd. Especially loved ending a day at the beach in the hot tub. Catch the sunrise or the moon rise right from the deck. Forget something on the beach or want to head in for a quick lunch or cocktail before heading back? House is a 30 second walk from the ocean with a hot outdoor shower. Need a major shopping item? Walmart is a 5 minute drive. Duck Donuts is a 5 minute walk. I have had beach vacations on both sides of this continent and two other continents and have never had one at a location that has easier access to everything you could possibly need or a great week at the beach than here.

We enjoyed our week. House was great. We had two families and a mother and the house was just big enough. Photos are very accurate. We hope to stay again

I worked very hard to provide my family with an enjoyable break from this past year. I wanted us to replace the memories of the past stressful and uncertain year with good memories and to reconnect with each other. I did not expect an unclean and unsanitary home. I did connect with the owner with our concerns. He did send out a cleaning person who spent about 20 minutes on site cleaning the ceiling fans.. Our other concerns about the splatter on the walls and windows and the black substance on the vents and bathrooms was unresolved. We did not feel comfortable walking in our bare feet in the home. Luckily, the weather was good and we were able to spend a great bit of time outside. On the good side, the view was great.

First time using VRBO after using a realtor company for over 20 years I was skeptical but after booking and having conversations with the owners we knew it was the rite choice..The views from the deck and the access to the beach was awesome..The beds was very comfortable.The kitchen had everything we needed to be able to cook with. The hot tub worked perfectly. We have been coming to obx for over 20 years and this was the first house my family said was perfect after walking in and seeing it. The owners was quick to respond to any of our concerns before and during our 2 week stay they even sent a message telling us where the 4th of July fireworks shows was gonna be held. The house was perfect for what we needed and we will definitely be staying there again.

The house was exactly as described and very comfortable. Everything worked which is always a plus. Great AC , nice sized washer dryer combo and a great ice maker. The dishes were adequate but if you have a favorite skillet I’d bring one. The views were unbeatable in Kitty Hawk. The lower deck provided ample shade and the upper full sun. The owners were very easy going and a joy to work with. We and our dogs will use them again.

The home was very nice. It could use just minor upkeep like lights. The light in the master bedroom was out and there was no light on the front porch, which, with the multiple steps down to the ground would have been nice. We also had to wash everything in the kitchen before using but we usually do that anyway. Otherwise, it was a very nice home right on the beach. The owners were very responsive when we needed anything. The steps going into the home are exhausting but we were on the beach so there is no "ground level". Totally worth climbing the stairs just to watch the ocean every day. We would definitely recommend this home to others.

The location is prime being right on the beach. Good eats and plenty of things to do nearby or even with a short drive. The home is cozy and beds and couch are very comfortable. The level of cleanliness is sub par. We found many dirty cups and pans that weren’t clean and we re-washed everything before using it because of that. The cleaning that was done appeared to be a quick mop and vacuum. The home comes with no toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, or coffee filters. So be prepared to buy all your basics. We brought all our own linens and towels to avoid the charge for using the homes linens. When we arrived we received no communication that the home was unlocked or a key code for access. Wasn’t until I reached out to the owner for how to get in which was about a 30 minute response time. However, I will take some blame as per the welcome email it states please confirm your arrival and travel by 10am on day of stay. The air conditioning didn’t work on the hottest day of the stay but Bob the co-owner showed up about 30 mins after we notified him and had it fixed promptly. Everything worked as it should but the home is definitely a fixer upper in progress. Other downside is none of the windows have screens. So keeping the windows open to hear the ocean and feel the breeze is not an option. Bugs will fly in if you attempt and the owners will tell you as well to keep windows and doors closed. I would stay here again as you really can’t beat the location and price point. We left the home cleaner then received. I think more frequent deep cleanings would definitely benefit the home. Hope anyone who stays will enjoy.

Great location plus it’s pet friendly with lots of room . The only negatives is if you like to cook bring your own pots then ones they have are older . Also pack toilet paper , paper towels , kitchen towels garbage bags . Some places provide them , this doesn’t . Other than that it’s a nice place with great views of the ocean

We rented this home as a get away after a year of chaos. We read all the past reviews and were concerned with some of the issues with the house. We decided to go ahead and rent anyway. We had great communication with the owners Bob and Tanya prior to our arrival. When we checked in we were a little disappointed in the cleainess. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Filthy coffee pot. Crumbs and food debris in the sink. Nothing serious or concerning enough to ruin our trip. The house was nice and comfortable. Excellent location and a great home feeling. You felt you were welcome. We started the stay with a deep cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces. With 3 family members over 80, we needed to make sure they were safe. We enjoyed the layout of the house. Every day we spent time watching the waves, beach and all the dolphins and birds. It was very relaxing.The bathrooms all were adequate and worked. The bedrooms were comfortable and had plenty of room. The livingroom furniture was comfortable and nice. The kitchen, although small was sufficiant. I would really enjoy going back and renting again if some of the issues we had are corrected. The livingroom sliding glass door is needing replaced. It takes 2 people to open. When it rains, and it did for 2 days, water comes in through the high window over this door, and runs down the wall into the livingroom and then downstairs into the bedroom below. Nothing you can do but avoid the areas and not walk on the wet carpet and floors. The front steps need some attention. There are some loose boards that you have to be careful when going up and down. Also the handrails need repaired. They will slip out of the risers periodically. There is an electrical issue where the lights flicker periodically. It happens when multiple high usage equipment is running. Oven, microwave, furnace. It got to the point it would trip out the TV. Owners were notified. The house has amazing potential to be one of a kind. Amazing views. Good layout. And in a fantastic location. With a little time and investment this could be a real gem of a home. Loved that it was on the beach, close to stores but couldn’t see anything but ocean and the houses when on the next.

Aside from this place being right on the beach, the next biggest appeal was the hot tub on the deck. During our 2 week stay, it struggled to get warm enough to actually enjoy. They tried to fix it by replacing a part but that didn't work.Otherwise, the place was great.So, just disappointed about the hot tub, which was a key draw for me to rent this place.
