In earlier reviews had complained about furniture in living room by new owners. Well, I want to acknowledge that they were responsive to us and others. They have put 2 new chairs in living room, similar to those in photos. They also have two new sofas to replace older, lower sofas that were there. Very much appreciated!! The living room is now much more comfortable and allows for enjoyment of the GREAT oceans views! Also believe they have added toppers or new mattress to Master bed--it felt more comfortable. This house has a lot to offer and great location.As usual Mendo Preferred and their team did a Great Job! Always a pleasure to deal with.

This was such a perfect house for our family’s trip to Mendocino! Everything about it was great- location, view, kitchen, living room etc. Appreciated comfortable beds, huge kitchen with everything we needed to cook multiple meals at home, and cozy living room with fireplace and Tv. We loved family walks around the neighborhood and evenings watching the ocean below. Would totally rent this again. My only suggestion would be the option of checking in straight at the house and not having to go to the Rental Office in town - it was just an extra 20 minute process after a long day of traveling. But I’m sure the company has their reasons.

Amazing views with a home that feels secluded. The hot tub was amazing and so was everything else about our stay.

The kitchen was better stocked than my own. The beds were comfortable and large. I would absolutely book this house again. The only minor issue is that it is in a cellphone dead zone. We had 3 different networks and none of them worked. No calls or texts in or out. All of our phones were completely useless. Which in a weird way was nice. Unless there was an emergency. The house did have dependable WiFi though, so we communicate with others via email and zoom.

Everything was wonderful, the hot tub got it’s usefulness. Sitting on the deck was gorgeous. Right in the center of Downtown Mendocino and Fort Bragg. It would be better with two showers but it all worked out. It would be nice to have blackout curtains. With the lighthouse lights at night shining through. We will Definitely come back. Thank you!

There's no decoration or warmth in the room. The back bathrooms need to be remodeled. One is partially remodeled but the only shower in the house is old and unpleasant. The back bathroom is a dinosaur and has terrible lighting and no shower. Bathrooms need to be brought up to date especially as the price almost doubled. We were disappointed this time. I don't know that we will be back. We hoped for some improvements.

The home has an exceptional kitchen. Especially for entertaining! The deep comfy sofas next to the ocean view windows were sublime! Master bedroom view and windows are incredible. The master bath....ummm, not really. So close to the trail head that links you to the Cabrillo Lighthouse. Awesome!!! Just down the block is a trailhead to another beach where there were literally hundreds of Sea Lions and Seals sunning......so amazing. We will definitely be back for another stay!

We enjoyed every inch of this property! Absolutely stunning!! It was an easy walk to a private beach and the hot tub had a million dollar view! Thank you!!!!

House sold this past year and new owners have elected to remove chairs from living room (leaving only 2 sofas that are VERY low, somewhat uncomfortable, and DIFFICULT to get out of. Also, when chairs were there, they overlooked wonderful ocean view. Now neither sofa looks out at ocean and in fact one blocks view by being in front of window, BUT facing blank wall and front door. (Pictures on rental site currently not correct for living room)This living room change greatly decreased comfort of that room from our previous stays. Three nice bedrooms

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The views were awesome. The property was clean and very well appointed. Just a few minutes from downtown Mendocino. Highly recommend Russian Gulch State park.

The house was very nice with an awesome view. Small comment: lacked general supplies such as salt/pepper, kitchen towels, oil. Hot tub did not work. 1 shower for the whole house not adequate for a 3 bedroom house.

The home was fantastic and somewhat comfortable. The beds were all very comfortable with good quality pillow top mattresses. The sofa and loveseat were too low to the ground and were impossible to get out of without pushing off from the floor. The view was worth the price of admission! The major downside was that the spa would not heat up to more than your average heated swimming pool. Maybe 85 degrees max, and then it slowly got colder each day until it was completely cold by the time we left on the fourth day. I called the rental agency who in turn called the spa technician but he never came out to fix the heater issue. Other than this and the low-rider sofa/loveseat we all had a fabulous time and look forward to staying there again.

wonderful home for cooking and relaxing in the common areas. outdoor patio space is protected from coast winds, a perfect weekend to enjoy the coast. be aware there are 3 bathrooms, but only one shower. also, this home is across the cove/shoreline from the lighthouse. wooden shutters inside would be helpful at night to block the lighthouse light which was much brighter than imagined.
